Never in my life i wish that MC should just die in the very beginning of the story. Every sequence in his whole life is just... Too much. I feel like i'm going to break from reading misfortunes upon misfortunes, over and over again. What happened to Mila is just nonsense. What happened to Richard is also pure fckin nonsense. At this point i realized that author just like throw us shit after shit just for the shock factor. Robin success, doesn't really mean anything in the grand scheme, really. There will always be someone stronger than him anyways~ and i'm done with this betrayal after betrayal. Everyone is just so f in stupid.
So good. This cultivation novel def not written by asian. I like the relationship between Sen and his 3 nascent master. The found family trope is just *chef'skiss* I feel like the title doesn't really do the story justice. It should be "The Cultivator Who Loves Self Reflection", i mean, Sen do really think aaaaa lottt. The high amount of self introspection in this story is just too much. Not that i hate it, but wel maybe the author can tone in down a lil bit. I get that through Sen internal struggle we can understand his thought process, but sometimes i just want to read some action more. Sen, all in all, is an introvert who wants to live peaceful life, but alas the story doesn't progress that way. I'm curious what will be the end of his journey, bcs for real, he just doesn't catch a break. I feel bad lol
This shit is cookin. I srsly don't know what words best to describe it. It's perfect so far. The mc, side chara, story, world building, everything just hit the good spot. I meam compared to other korean web novels out there? This novel writing is just top tier. Leagues above it's own. Now, we're only 50 ish chapter in so my opinion my change but i really hoep that it doesn't.
Yup, the harem and power scaling def ruin this story. Damn, just when i thought i found a masterpiece. It starts out really good. MC got a clear goal, to revive his clan and take revenge on the kingdom that abandoned him. But as time went on, i don't understand why that he suddenly have "let's save the world" type of mentality. Isn't the focus first was abt revenge? The clan rise?
Look, i don't mind of author introducing more op enemies to nerf MC but as far as i read, it doesn't mean much. There's no real high stakes here bcs MC can just retreat to his space and hide his entire family there. He's just too OP, so what was even the point?
And the harem....I was actually okay with Meg and Laura. Like, well sure, both girls do love MC and they have their own motives and connection to MC. But then came along Megan and Lizzy. Then ruyen and the succubus. And what's up with Nier, she didn't even talk more than 5 sentences to MC? Are we collecting wives pokémon? Bcs i do feel these girls get their head wrecked with blind devotion after they enter the space. This is no better than mind controlling them to be civil and faithful to MC. Gosh, if we talked abt who loves MC the most, it will be Meg and Laura. Both of them should've been enough. There's absolutely no need to add more girls to his harem. Even if MC wants to be fair with all of them, he clearly prioritize Meg and Laura the most.
Anyway, i decided to drop this novel bcs
1. The harem sucks
2. The plot is gettin more and more outrageous, it's ridiculous
3. No high stakes, there's no 'real' conflict
4. This novel isn't even finished yet (there's 14k+ chapters and it's still ongoing), and by the speed of the translation, i might be as well dead waiting this shit to be fully translated.
Hella good. Idk what people say but this one is hella good. I admit the pacing is slow in some areas but overall the story itself is entertaining. This def need found family trope bcs Ashlock and stella bond is just everything. Unlike tree of aeon where the side character died in the most abrupt way, reborn as demonic tree def take it's time to develop all the side chara. Well, 4 books in and Ashlock is still what? A decade old? Meanwhile aeon already surpassed 200 yr so in 5 books, it's just a matter of scale really.
Reborn as demonic tree is like tight close knit community while Tree of aeon is like a country? If that makes sense. Both are great though, altough i have to admit i like the character here more than in tree of aeon.
Def would re read again when it's finished!
Yeah, no. First of all, what's with the overused usage of capslock? Do every single dialog really need to be in capital? And ugh, the number of damage.. I don't think i ever see a novel where they mention every damage done while fighting. I mean, the damage point is mentioned everytime until the boss died. This is just straight down annoying. It's too much info.
Also, i'm sorry, but the MC is so weird? 3 or 4 stranger died in a class trial, and his reaction? "It was worth it"
Amazing.
He is supposedly an adult who work as an accountant yet he thinks, act, and react like a teenager having a wetdream. He treat dangerous situation like a game and with a nonchalant attitude. Don't mention the side characters bcs they're template as hell.
Oh lord, just what was the author smokin while writing this thing. It hurts my soul on a fundamental level.
So far sooo good. I like it! The pacing is a bit slow but the plot so far has been amazing. I like the MC, he can get strong using general method but he choose to experiment and tinker his ability by himself. He def love training, but it is indeed way too much.
Starts out great but it goes stale. Every plot basically goes like this.
Mc disciples travel - offend someone way above their status/found something that everyone wants - a fight breaks out - things get out of hand - MC saves the day by showing his op ness.
The formula was done so many times that it get to the point where i don't feel anything anymore while reading it
It's fun so far, i would love to read more. Let's hope this one doesn't end up like a shit how bcs i like how it progress for now. I'm waiting for his discendants show up in his world lol
This actually can be something great but the info dumps on this one just kill the vibes off for me. It's paragraph after paragraph, describing the world and mc thought process. I'm in chapter 56 and there's already 3 chapter describing what happen in MC head.
If u like overly descriptive narrative, maybe you'll like this one
