(reviewed at ch 220+) The MC is so hard to like. He comes from a humble beginning but once he get that lotus cheat or whatever, he becomes insufferable, arrogant, childish, and just annoying to read and root for. He drinks alcohol most of the time, skip classes, late to classes, continue to taunt his enemies, and rashly does something that will definitely get him into trouble. So so shortsighted and arrogant. I have lost count on how many mistakes he has made from the beginning of the story. Like he knows that lotus is a power that everyone wants but he flaunts his power like there's no tomorrow, so what did he expect when he failed to kill that puny villain? Of course, that puny villain is going to tell everyone that he got a powerful inheritance. He could've play the long game, more cleanly, surely things would not have escalated like this. He's OP but he's so irresponsible, i feel like hitting his head countless time and scream to his ear to get a grip.

Mediocre, it doesn't bring anything new to the specific genre. I've read a lot of showbiz k web novels and this is like one of those. Nothing new bcs we all know the drill. If you're new to showbiz genre then this might be a good start.

The dwarf accent in every dialogue is killin me. God i wish they can talk normally bcs it takes me more time to comprehend what these bearded dwarf talkin abt. The story is not bad but i don't think it's that good either. People said that they like this story but i dunno, it's not for me i guess.

This story is slow paced and i think that's the main reason i dropped it. Now that i think abt it, the way MC tries to break all the streotype that happens in common xianxia novel also contributes to why i drop this story. MC do realize that he's inside of a xianxia novel but he just doesn't know what novel, so to avoid problems he actively dodge every possible trope that comes in his way. Such as jade like beauties, humiliated fiancee's, third rate villain, and more. He's highly aware and i think that takes the joy away. Idk if that makes sense but him running from every possible problem kinda ruined it for me. The story just become unexciting.

It is good and fun read but not without flaws. I liked the story, it's light, super predictable plot but strangely fun, cute endearing beasts companion and finally a girl MC. This novel feels like a blend of shounen with slice of life, no tragedy murder hobo s*it in here, just MC being praised as genius and winning matches. I admit it does get repetitive along the way but the story still kept me going. I won't argue and say this story is the best but it is a good read, one that require you not to use your brain too much, u only need to sit back, relax, and read. Things doesn't get make sense all the time and you just gotta to accept it or brush it off, the story is more enjoyable that way. I wish the pacing is much faster bcs 600 chapter in and MC is still 16 years old 😭

(reviewd at ch 100+) I agreed with the review before me. It is decent. Kinda fun in the beginning but you'll eventually get bored after the repetitive formula. The slice of life aspect in here is not that really good, the plot just move too slow and the characters is not charming enough to kept me for reading more. Still you can go ahead and give it a try.

Not for me. I think the plot and character is interesting but i just don't vibe with it. I can't emotionally connect with the story, sorry. Imagining how a salamander and a devil become a soulmate is kinda weird haha 🙂 I really want to like the story but i got bored and i rather read something with clear progression. This story leans to more SoL but there's real conflict here. So i would say not that cozy type of story. You get a sense progression for time to time. I just don't get excited enough to read more.

Good but after entering chapter 400 or so i got bored so quickly. This story is not bad but i just find the story become too predictable bcs the formula has been repeated so d*mn much. Keeping the things fresh after hundreds of chapters? Yeah, even i will struggle. Still a fun a read tho but not exciting enough for me to keep on the updates. Maybe i'll revisit once the story is fully translated

It is decent read. I think the aspect of magic here is really interesting. It differs than most and if only the story focus on that more this story will def become amazing. Alas the story leans more on comedy and MC genius learning ability. Not bad but i wish the plot gives more 'oomph' bcs i swear this have potential. 

(Reviwed at ch 995) Well, gotta bring down those 5 stars somehow bcs imo this is def not perfect. I will bring up the thing that bothers me the most which is the pacing.

Pacing in this story is extremely slow. 900+ chapter and roughly only 2 or 3 years passed? I still remember that i need go through 5 long a*s chapter consists only about MC and his friends coming back to the academy, they got stuck in a blizzard then proceed to fix/build a d*mn bridge. And that's it. I wonder what exactly the author want to achieve writing that particular event. If this ain't filler then i don't what is. I hope that was the last time i encounter such awkward filler eh but nope. COUNTLESS FILLER SPREAD THRU THIS STORY LIKE A d*mn BLACK DEATH. God, a mission that take 80 or so chapter to explained. I feel like dying remembering it.

This story love to take a long detour to the point it feels like we're not moving at all. Lots of unecessary event and details. Lots of filler. I mean, if we cut all those 'fat' and left just the 'meat' then the current arc can be achieved around 500 chapter or so. That is how much content that can be cut.

Now move one to the next, World building and general rules. Both basically makes no sense. Messy and illogical, i feel like crying at times. MC birthplace have helicopters, tv, reporters, idols, lift, high tech awakening serum, yet somehow they don't have drones???? This part is so hilarious that for a moment i thought maybe the author left that particular part just to make Hawk ability to scout stand out. 

World building is very weird... Idk how to wrap my head around it. One nation is so advanced, the other borderline stuck in medieval. One continent stuck at power cap Overlord, the others treat Overlord as the starting point. So how does even MC home country still stand after all this time. They can easily defeated by people from other continent. Like bruh, be fr.

MC and the rest of the cast are just so so. Some member are funny and charming, like Lotus, Cara and Rae. But MC lovers? No, she's like a wallflower. She's there just because. She doesn't add anything to the story and frankly no one does in MC team. Chemistry be damned bcs romance taste like s*it here.

Anyone who's planning to read this, just remember. Read this with your brain thrown out of the window. It will be more enjoyable that way. So just for funsies, but not the story i kept on my tabs. 3/5
