Ah, depends on the people and circumstances i guess. He isn't necessarily ruthless to every stranger he met, neutral mostly. But to someone who tried to killed him? Yes, he is very ruthless. It's straight to the afterlife if anyone ever tried to. Towards his inner circle friends, he is kind. He isn't necessarily vengeful, so even if someone hate him he just kinda brush it off (srsly he never really care what people think about him). His focus is mainly improving his skills thru persistence and borderline torture training. So there it is, he's a hard working MC with good moral overall.

what is mc morality like ruthless, evil, goody two shoes?
Got the books, thank you for the recommendation. Sometimes i like simple stories like this but alas the market is too full with harem tags

Very similar imo, alot of training slice of life and is more western fantasy compared to this ones eastern setting, tries to do more of a classic plot story compared to this ones lucky protagonist SoL but still kinda light and same vibes (I'd say it's better written but this novel hits my guilty pleasure genres 😭)
It follows this dude following a friend on a pilgrimage as an excuse for becoming a "summoner" (pokemon trainer), so it's got more actual character interaction between him and her compared to this books pet spam but it's done to an alright level, not anything special. Also not finished tho
This jekua series, how similar compared to this novel?

It's basically a pokemon series but the evolution system is from digimon, not bad 7.5/10, I like the beasts too even if they're not the most independant characters
Only silly thing is the timescale, 700 chapters to go from 15 to 16, the actual pacing of the story, arcs and events are fine though, I stayed engaged.
Warning to anyone with a hate boner for extremely lucky main characters. (Its in the tags though so yeah)
Anyone wanting similar may I suggest the jekua series (I couldnt find a pirate tho so up to you)
Currently re reading this again, still so so good.
