Perfect example of "i am not a fan of cultivation novels but THIS is good". There is surprisingly quite a few novels with mc as a tree. But they either suffer from pacing or character depth. This one is great in both compeling characters and good enough story pacing. And while in universr about 1 to 3 years passed after the prologue ch and it took 40p chapters. You never feel like its slow because there is always atuff going on that is interesting.

Hella good. Idk what people say but this one is hella good. I admit the pacing is slow in some areas but overall the story itself is entertaining. This def need found family trope bcs Ashlock and stella bond is just everything. Unlike tree of aeon where the side character died in the most abrupt way, reborn as demonic tree def take it's time to develop all the side chara. Well, 4 books in and Ashlock is still what? A decade old? Meanwhile aeon already surpassed 200 yr so in 5 books, it's just a matter of scale really.

Reborn as demonic tree is like tight close knit community while Tree of aeon is like a country? If that makes sense. Both are great though, altough i have to admit i like the character here more than in tree of aeon.

Def would re read again when it's finished!

At first, the idea was great, and the story started off quite well and engaging—if you could ignore the fact that the author would describe the same events repeatedly from different perspectives. Essentially, a single scene that could fit into one chapter was stretched across three. Eventually, this habit faded, and it seemed like things were improving, but then new issues arose.

For example, the author made a mistake in the mechanics of the story: they described completing dozens of entries in one day, which directly contradicted the established rule of "one entry per day." Later, it felt like progress almost came to a halt, with tons of irrelevant information padding the story. The skills kept being repeated, reshuffled, or re-explained. Then, the plot practically froze, failing to move forward.

If not for all this excessive padding, it could have been an excellent story. Unfortunately, it wasn’t.
