I like that he actually got hurt and didn't just hunt them without breaking a sweat. Sure, he has the Sphere, but taking 7 guys alone while outleveled shouldn't be too easy.
It isn't Reverend Insanity and Jake Thayne isn't Fang Yuan so... we won't be seeing them. Seriously, RI and SGiaWoM fans just want every novel and MC to be clones of their faves.

Ok this is only the beginning so ain't gonna judge that hard but... when will we be seeing Fang Yuan level deep schemes and plot twists? I know Jake isn't FY but the fact that he is interested in levelling up—becoming stronger even if he has to work with a team reminds me of him. Remember FY would never mind helping others, if it helped him... Even if others hate him, loathe him, detest him, he would still help others. What a kind soul.
