An incredibly long story, which makes it have some slower moments and a few unresolved issues. Yet as a whole, it's a very satisfying read, with interesting world(s), multiple shakeups taking the reader out of his comfort zone and a great protagonist.

Wow, what a read. The story is amazing, but... it's a tad too long. Not to mention, some chapters consist only of things like the composition of a military unit, the amount of some characters coming back stronger after being entirely crushed is ridiculous. Last quarter was a very long line of "feel good" moments; the author definitely stretched it more than he needed. And worst of all, we don't even get a short summary of "what came later", which, considering the ending, would be fantastic.
Mad Snail does not disappoint. It's very well written, with good pacing and natural, seamless progression. The only thing that can irritate is the number of quests MC keeps putting off for later, for no apparent reason in most cases. Return after the time skip is really great. Translation gets shaky sometimes past chapter 650, with a few sentences missing here and there and item descriptions getting cut out, but it's still pretty clear what's going on.
King of Gods is the most vanilla, standard cultivation novel out there. It contains all the main tropes (thankfully no harem), follows a pretty generic (but still likeable) protagonist through his journey to dominate everything and everyone thanks to his one huge secret. If you like cultivation novels, read this one. It won't disappoint, but it also won't blow your socks off.
It's a good read. The plot is interesting, even though the same few hooks keep repeating themselves over and over. The author isn't really focused, so some topics are unnecessarily long, while other important aspects of the book are just quickly mentioned. Together with the mortal sin of not closing some parts of the storyline, it brings the book down to 4/5 stars.
What really pissed me off, especially in the last 100 chapters, is author's blatant racism, homophobia and sexism. The latter wasn't so bad, even the MC mentions it's mostly due to the feudal setting, but the racism is so clear and uninhibited that it made me sick. Also, even as a straight person, seeing the notion that everybody starts puking at a mere mention of gay relations is ridiculous and condemnable. 3/5 stars.
It's hauntingly beautiful, absolutely incomprehensible and infuriatingly convoluted. We follow a guy who wasn't supposed to be the MC and isn't really equipped to be one, but prevails thanks to ridiculous amounts of memorising, planning and wits. Just go read it already, it's probably the most universally praised Light Novel of all time.
The Legendary Mechanic is a love letter written from the author towards both capitalism and the science-fiction power fantasy genre. Normally not a fan of the former, Technician Han warmed my cold heart towards it with his amazing market strategy.
For real, though, if you want to read a hilarious power sci-fi where our MC milks players for cash and xp, then uses it to just absolutely wreck the fate of the entire galaxy, you've come to the right place.
A great time loop novel, with a very interesting protagonist experiencing a steady, sure growth in power and personality. It comes with an amazing cast of supporting characters, an interesting and not-too-convoluted story with a nice turn here and there, at appropriate moments. Pacing is really good, and chapters are REALLY long, easily 3-4 times longer than in most other novels.
In my opinion, it's one of the reasons we don't see that novel mentioned more, since after most chapters I felt like making several comments and couldn't really decide on one without writing a word wall. You won't be disappointed.
Absolutely amazing. The plot is fun, neither simple nor too complicated, with the author clearly laying out their plan before us, piece by piece. The main character is wonderfully insane in the best way possible, giving big Deadpool energy. 10/10 would follow the ramblings of a madman in cashmere again.
A wonderful cultivation novel that doesn't follow the usual script. We see actual character growth from our MC. The cultivation methods are interesting, the general flow of story and methods of progression keep changing multiple times, the side characters are fun to read about and often are not just one-time visitors but a recurring cast instead. I really loved every part of it.
