First a moment of silence for the death of our beloved sect, LNW π
Well let's get into the review. I'm 50 chapters in.
So this novel is your avg xianxia alchemist's slice of life + a system. Our MC is too old and has a shitty cultivation talent, so he decides to become 'Rouge Alchemist'.
Alchemy is Expensive. Especially when you're a rouge cultivator. So he has system, but with a catch. It can only show him his mastery progress on his various techniques, weather it be combat or alchemy. But that's it.
This is one of my favorite type of systems. It gives him just a slight edge over everyone else, but he still needs to work really hard to earn and grow his cultivation.
All he has are low level techniques, but he such a good mastery over them that his efficiency is thru the roof.
I love how balanced it is. He's just your avg guy that's struggling to survive in an cutthroat world. Im enjoying it so far.
Faking death. But im sure Qin never let his guard down.
Hey folks, I'm abt 150 chapters in.
And Its just average for the most part. It has its moments when MC gets desperate.
Mc is tranmigrated to xianxia world, but he's a weakass mortal. He works hard and is determined to become an immortal.
He's pretty weak, but does have quite a bit of plot armor, which is the jade budda. He'd definitely end up worse than just dead without it.
He's Demonic Cultivator with morals? Which is interesting I suppose.
He's not stupid, but could be smarter with his abilities. Or maybe he'll grow later? Idk. He's cautious, but knows to weigh his options.
Writing wise, its not bad. Nothing to criticize. Which is leagues better than all the brain-dead writing ive witnessed.
Overall, not bad. Read it if you're bored.
7/10
Ah... f*ck.
Is the jade Buddha substituting for his spirit roots? And also preventing the malevolent yin qi from messing with his head.
It's probably divine-rank soul artifact.
Ooooh someone who knows his place~ how rare.
I din't see nothin' π
Hooo~ love the efficiency. Taking care of problems before they fester.
That's only if he can gain enough resources to breakthrough within his lifetime.
I suspect Foundation Establishment Breakthrough Pills, are only needed when one does not have enough energy to break thru at peak qi-gathering.
He might not even have that problem with his deeper foundation.
Its a little annoying how he's still getting underpaid. They both think he's scamming him, but I think its the other way around.
There's a reason why only sects raise Alchemists and sell Pills.
Its take a lot of time, energy, expertise, wealth, resources, security, and investment.
Our Mc is getting underpaid by quite a bit, and he doesn't realize it either.
Hey Folks, LNW Daoist Refugee Here π,
