this is rlly interesting to me bcs in (u guessed it) greek myths, in some at least, u could say that the war god (taking it as ares, athena or aphrodite areia) r siblings to the fates (moirai) bcs theyre all parented by zeus. this makes the decision to pit them against eo sooo fun cus anyone could win due to how close they r in power (as in none r older than the other by even a generation)
'It is a land of art, wine, wisdom, poetry, and culture' okay this is clearly dionysus(zagreus)/orpheus/apollo territory and slay 'fate'?? using 'fate'?? idk she can trick fate ig cus thats what perseus did? maybe..?
hi again guys the cs isnt that active rn but i wanna say as far as myths go, Orphism seems to fit ss better (ananke is a primordial goddess in it??, the dismemberment of zagreus reminds me of the forgotten gods splitting himself, the hermaphroditic nature of phanes reminds me of the daemons/gods and their 'mercurial' genders, the moirai (fates) being daughters of ananke is fun asl).
basically im gonna rethink some things cus Orphism is a whole different playing field to normal greek myths (even though its a subset(?) of it) and the theogonies r messed up and fragmented with some gods just dissapearing but ive got sum thoughts on zagreus/forgotten god and the individual fates (spinner, allotter, the inevitable) and the ORACLES OMG?? in 2370 which r clear references
even tho ive said all this i still think the hesiod/illiad/aenead r probably closer to ss, especially the illiad purely cus of the odyssey (there was a 'wine-dark sea' reference and i died cs like homer is that u??) so yeah
