blind poet lost to illusions (1 of 9) - either orpheus, he was a singer/poet/musician who believing his wife was an "illusion" after he managed to save her from the underworld unfortunately doomed her back there by turning around nd looking at her, smth he swore off, or oedipus who 'blinded' himself after he figured out his belief that he overcame fate was an "illusion"

aemedon - medon was a herald in the iliad and warned penelope of the plot to kill telemachus, saving him, the 'a' prefix usually makes words mean the opposite so this could mean that 'a(e)medon' is the opposite of medon, he incited the plot to kill the gods

in greek mythology the gods have established domains nd origin stories nd whatnot and generally they dont change too much, but Orphism is a sort of retelling of some of the bits of greek mythology. it takes pre-existing gods and changes them which in turn changes the whole pantheon and the way the universe works. Orphism as a whole is more focused on rebirth, so certain myths change. it came about as an extension of the Cult of Dionysus (god of wine, parties, wildness) and he is their central god, but he gets a slightly different origin story. instead of the usual, he's first a whole other god, zagreus, who gets dismembered and then is reborn as dionysus thru various means. because orphism changes things to be structured more around rebirth, ananke (the namesake of our riverborn goat) is a more prominent goddess since shes inevitability, which is how i thought they could link up in the first place. hope this helped !!
