Don't come if here if you wanna read a comedic romance between a villainous couple. This novel is what I call a headache inducing one. So hard to understand, not sure if it's the translation or the writing. And it's so ducking dumb! Dropped at chapter 80. Anyway it's so dumb, I don't why people find those things funny and most of the time it doesn't make sense. And the romance? I honestly felt like they were siblings, the chemistry didn't exist.

Another novel of Chestnut from Truly Precious Universe that I loved! What I especially love that every story is different, with different character personalities and background. ✨

When will these kind of authors stop romanticising r@pe?!

And the characters are really fickle here. No personality and in one day they can go from hating someone to being attracted to them and from thinking someone as your granddaughter to a murderer's ally or something??

The half star for Gu Tai as the only character that interested me. I didn't feel any chemistry and just putting sexual attraction before romantic feelings is a great way to ruin the already awkward romance.

Read only if you have too much time to burn. See one problem in these kind of secret pregnancy and childbirth arcs is that they always use the child, even if the parent is unwilling or uncomfortable. Secondly does the ml want to be a lover or a servant of fl? Thirdly this fl is truly pampered princess with water brain. She never made him feel secure and leaves it like a one night stand, doesn't inform him of literally anything and expects him to stay single for her. She wants him to be her servant but even makes it clear to him that he's just one guy in her harem and there are multiple people who can maker her happy if not him! Sounds cool and badass right no! There's no communication and the ml is always left feeling like he is a commodity to her with no value! The dad is not even made aware that he has a 6 year old child and the child blames the dad for it when it should be the mom!

That's it this infuriated me so had to rant it out even though I wasn't in the mood to write reviews. The ml is not anyless though, one is willing to torture and other is willing to be tortured!

Truly amazing! Light, fluffy, funny, heartwarming and most importantly off the charts chemistry between the leads! The 2nd couple is nice too even though they don't much screen time and the found family arc for Su Yi was <3

This is my 2nd novel of this author, the first being Eight treasure trousseau. Both novels have some things in common. Raising aristocratic people on a pedestal even though they remember their modern previous life, are they blind or just dumb enough not to see the problems and ugliness of the "aristocrats". Ik their family is not like that but they admire those so called nobles really puzzled me. If they didn't have the memory of their previous life then it's understandable but knowing that? It might sound silly but things like slavery etc?

And why is this so boring? Actually I love boring mundane novels but this was like way too much for me. Why? Because everyone is too perfect! A super duper perfect emperor and husband and similarly perfect wife and empress with a perfect married life. See the problem? It's not about villains, but then not being human.

Boring and bland even when this novel is named eight treasures. There's no chemistry at all between the leads, no romance so why even bother to read! But I do....and let me it's just them talking blah blah, some political schemes here and there and most of the time it's how they being compared, that's it.

Read if you have too much time to burn and can stand the 25+ protagonists acting like kindergarten kids and also if you are ready to read a story full of misunderstandings and unnecessary plots and then whoosh, the story ends and you get unnecessary extras.

There are many things that I disliked but the most weirdest one being the ml gains a system where he has to save the fl from depression otherwise fl's father will take over his body and he will die and that makes this so weird! When has romantic feelings about and even when they are kissing! The dad is in his body and they can literally chat mentally and this is confirmed when he coughs when fl and ml have their first kiss....uff so weird!
