Read this if you want to get a headache, waste your time by reading illogical, nonsensical and frustrating stuff. Every chapter feels a waste of words and it just gets worse and worse, making you wanna feel like skipping everything. I tried to read this, I tried to preserve but seriously I couldn't make past 200ish chapters.

There are some things that I didn't like but the fact that this story is so unnecessarily long ruined it completely. Like they have two couples and the main couple's story settles down around 200 ish chapters and then we move on to the 2nd couple. But this is at 1000+ now with just mtl (even mtl is better honestly) and still not completed? 

And which woman runs off to her ex leaving her husband behind when you know he doesn't want you to.(mind you there are step brothers with enmity between them that like starts the story)

The ml too. He whipped the fl. It's not bdsm. He literally hangs her and then whips her for touching his body 👁️ 👁️ you make the fl romantically involved with this kind of guy?

And just when you think this novel couldn't get anymore tragedies, even more are revealed. You would start thinking this is a soap or something.

I couldn't read past 130ish chapters although I was really close to the ending. Secondly, the biggest problem I couldn't connect with the novel, might be the translation. I won't say it's terrible but it's like mtl which was edited, with many errors. Thirdly, the story you would imagine from reading the prologue and reading the actual novel are quite different. The title got me and turns out it's misleading. Then towards the ending, things start going nowhere, the leads get together, so many bad things happen (in a confusing way and there's no proper karma). The only reason I kept reading was because of the love story between the leads but I didn't feel the love anymore, like it just gets really bland. So many things are left uncleared and the I believe the author does not focus on what needs to focused and instead writes about other things and in the end, those other things are not clarified. At one point, the leads behaviour, the story progression and the romance get really boring and bland. The ml and fl's attitude really tires me out and it was hard for me to come to this point of the story.

After 1138 Chs;

The novel starts off really intense and fast and slows down after the revenge and other stuffs are done for the main couple. It slows down after that and the story gets bland, as if the author is out of ideas and honestly after the main couple got married and the other couple's story started, I felt like the author was injecting plot devices between the couples that weren't needed and could have been solved, it was if the author was just trying to create more chapters to reach the 2000 mark. It could have ended in just 1000 chapters. I started to loose my patience after the 1000 mark.

Now let's talk about the couples.

First, the main couple, XLS & NJ, the only complain here is that if you can handle a narcissistic man child with a poisonous tongue who is self obsessed and super shameless, read this. Sometimes it was funny, many times it was not. Not talking about how this novel talks about dark skin, body image, and genders. If you are sensitive about those, don't read this.

Second, NX & JY, ml is a puppy and fl is is his first love. Too many unnecessary plot devices here, like I said before. We don't see much of this couple tho, after the 3rd couple breaks up, they get screen time and get into a relationship.

Third, MLX & YS, I had high expectations for this one. So what basically happens between the third couple is, they go from enemies to lovers kinda route + younger man, older woman route. They fall in love so passionately, then break up due to secrets and misunderstandings that could have been talked about!!(Obviously a plot device to make more chapters) Then fl gives birth to their daughter secretly, and after years he realises the truth and they get back together duhh!

Fourth, XBH & AL, kudos to this couple towards whom I was highly expectant after getting tired of those three couples. Reading through the chapter names, I realised it was gonna be AL who liked the main ml. She is a mature career woman, so I was looking forward to this couple the most after the main couple but unfortunately I gave up even before I could reach them.

Honourable mention to JN & XS, I liked this couple and they deserved more screen time but the author...... :)

I can't believe I actually liked this novel when I was younger (15-16). Now that I am a little older and re-reading my favourite novels, I found I don't like many of them.

For this one I realised how creepy af and problematic it is. To a pedophile ml, a spoiled bratty extremely vengeful fl, sicko obsessed twin bro and an author who's extremely biased. With an author who has feet fetish, we see characters like the maids and ml obsessing over the fl's feet. The rest of characters who can be said are flawed and human are made to seem brainless. We are made to see the fl are the most prettiest ethereal beauty while being pitiful and what not.

Just go to novel updates and see the one star reviews. You will know how problematic this shit is.

If you don't like shoujo, then don't read this. This is indeed something a middle schooler might like. And a problem in many stories, the ml has no personality.

A story with a happy ending achieved after so many hardships! The blend of romance, revenge and family was perfect. What more can I ask for? The villains get a satisfying ending and everyone ends up with HEA.

Go for it if you want to but nah, this not my cup of tea. I would recommend giving it a try first as different people will have different opinions. It comes off as a breath of fresh air but slowly, you realise there's something wrong. Is it the translation? Or the novel's narration? There's always so many things going on and the story has no direction whatsoever. And the romance! I thought I would stick to the story cause of it but the thing is, there's no romance. Whatever was in this story, it's not romance. I don't know what to call it. The thing is, you don't even know what started the romance (big plot hole). I don't even understand if this is a slow burn or fast one (they cuddle but but don't kiss until very late). And there's no chemistry between the couple whatsoever as it feels forced.

Bad translation. Then there's the author's amateur writing that made me suspect if this was from Wattpad! The female lead obviously has the IQ of a 5 year old, she cries all the time and just keeps on tripping. She keeps getting harassed, cries for her brother and then refuses to tell him anything! There's no communication at all! And the brother too, how did he became a duke? The emperor's right hand man? He takes in an unknown girl for month in his house just cause her father gave them shelter and food? Like seriously? That was the only way you could repay him?

Now for the story writing, the author doesn't know what they are writing about. The characters.... I don't why they exist. They are so one dimensional and the translation obviously made it even harder to understand what was going on. I had to reread one para multiple times to understand what was going on or what the characters were talking about. So many plot holes and the situations feel so forced. Like why does the fl has to be harassed so many times in her home!?

There are novels which I don't like but I can atleast recommend it to someone else as they might like it but THIS, don't waste time reading this.
