Wife of The Demon Prince
Chapter 264: You might be pregnant

Chapter 264: You might be pregnant

The next day. As the sun rose behind the horizon.

Inside the king’s chamber. Ara and Hamon still lay in bed, bodies entwined as if molded into one. Ever since Hamon had been crowned, Ara had been immersed in their late honeymoon. More than once, if she by mistake even held her husband’s hand or touched him, they would end up straight in bed. She usually woke up early in the mornings before, but now oftentimes found herself rousing much later than she usually does.

However, today she made sure to wake up early as Hamon would be traveling to Bredon, but then couldn’t get out of bed because of exhaustion. Hamon had made love to her last night, saying he would be traveling and wouldn’t get to see or be with her for weeks. Therefore, he wanted to print the image of their love making in his mind while he was away and didn’t allow her sleep early.

Nevertheless, Ara couldn’t help but be saddened at the thought of parting with Hamon for weeks, he would be gone for weeks as Bredon was far from Findara. Ever since they’d gotten marriage, they hadn’t been separated even for a day, but then she knew the gravity of their kingdom’s current situation. He needed to go.

Ara, who was still laying in bed with her husband tightened her hold around his waist, and pouted her lips, then murmured against the curve of his shoulder, "Hamon...I will miss you a lot. How i wish I could go with you to Bredon."

Ara had first suggested they go together, but Hamon had said he couldn’t risk bringing her along not knowing what might happen on the way. If he were alone, he could easily teleport if an ambush occurred, but if they were together it would be hard to do so.

Hamon smiled at her words, then gently placed a kiss on her hair, "I will miss you even more. But I can’t take you along, just stay here and wait for my return, I will be back before you know it, my wife."

Ara lifted her head up to see his face, she then said seriously, "Promise me you will come back to me unharmed? If you stay there more than two weeks...I will certainly come to Bredon to find you myself."

Hamon chuckled, then raised his hand to gently caress her neck, "I promise to return unharmed." He then leaned forward to seal his promise with a light kiss, however it was supposed to be a light kiss, but then it grew hotter and hungrier by the seconds, making another fresh desire grow within her.

Hamon reluctantly pulled back a bit, then said with his voice sounding more huskier than ever, "My wife, let’s do it one more time."

"But it’s morning_" before she could remind him it was already morning, Hamon had covered her lips with his, and swiftly rolled on top of her. Before she knew it, he made love to her all over again despite the fact that he was supposed to leave early this morning.

The next time Ara opened her heavy eyelids after their morning activity, it was already afternoon. She found herself already changed into a new set of nightdress. Even without having to wonder, she knew it was Hamon who changed her dress. She glanced at the space beside her and found it empty. However, there was a letter laying there.

Ara sat up and reached for the letter. She unfolded the sheet of paper and immediately, a smile crossed her lips.

It was a letter written down for her by Hamon before he left.

It reads, [You look too peaceful while sleeping, and I couldn’t find it in my heart to wake you up before I depart. I’ve asked the servants to prepare your favorite dishes, make sure to eat properly this time, I noticed you’ve been quite selective of food lately.

From your beloved husband, Hamon.]

"He should have woken me up before he left...my silly husband." She giggled then shook her head.

Ara’s stomach suddenly growled loudly. She hadn’t eaten breakfast and it was already mid afternoon. She pushed herself out of bed, but immediately felt dizzy and quickly sat back down on the bed as she massaged her pounding head. "I really need to stop sleeping in everyday..." She murmured to herself.

Ara managed to get out of bed, and the servants prepared her baths, she dressed up for the day, but then felt too lazy to go and eat in the dinning hall. Since Hamon wasn’t around, she decided to just eat in their chamber and asked the servants to bring the food to their chamber.

Ara’s mind wandered back to Cornell, even though their days had been peaceful, So peaceful that she had almost forgotten about his existence until the bad news came. She just hoped Hamon gets to convince the king of Bredon without having to marry their princess...

A knock on the door interrupted her thoughts. "Come in." She called out, and the door was pushed opened by Emma carrying a tray containing the dishes Hamon had requested to cook for her. Seeing it was Emma, Ara couldn’t help but smile as she recalled something.

Few days ago, Ara had gone in search of Emma in the kitchen, but what she saw that day was surprising. She had found Oliver hugging Emma from behind while she cut some vegetables on the kitchen island. Not just that, he was nibbling her neck while whispering some words to Emma’s ear.

She couldn’t believe her eyes at first, but then later on discovered that they had been in a relationship for a while now. And everytime Oliver went to the kitchen, he would dismiss the rest of the servants to have his lone time with Emma. it was surprising, because even though Oliver was a soldier, he came from a noble household.

However, Ara decided not to question any of them as she could tell the soldier was serious about being with Emma. And besides, Emma was a nice girl, and despite coming from a poor household, she still looked beautiful and acted gracefully than most of the noble daughters. And Ara would fully support their relationship.

"My lady, I brought your lunch." Emma said as she carefully placed the tray on the bed, snapping Ara out of her thoughts.

"Thank you." Ara said politely, and Emma smiled and helped her set the food from the tray. However, immediately the food aroma whiffed towards Ara, a sudden rush of nausea swept through her, and she quickly turned her head away while covering her mouth with one hand.

"...Emma please take the food away, I don’t want it."

This had happened to her yesterday as well, which was why Hamon had mentioned that she was becoming selective of food in the letter he kept. Yesterday, only the smell of cooked chicken almost made her want to hurl, just like now again.

Emma looked at Ara anxiously, "My lady, are you alright?"

Ara moved away from the tray of food, "...I don’t think so, the smell of some dishes makes me want to throw up these days...you should take this one away, I don’t think I’ll be able to eat it anyway."

Emma hurriedly moved towards Ara after hearing her words, she then asked, "My lady, do you feel any other things apart from nausea these days?"

Ara looked at Emma in bemusement, then carefully nodded, "...Yes, maybe I should call the royal physician to check, I have been feeling fatigued more than usual as well."

"...my lady, I think you might be pregnant."

"I might be pregnant?" Ara stared at Emma in astonishment, she then wracked her head, and realized Emma might be right, she hadn’t seen her monthly blood last month, and she did not think much of it. But now that she thought about it...It could be true.

Ara slowly placed her hand on her flat stomach, then glanced at Emma in wonderment, "...Emma I might be carrying a child...hurry up and call the royal physician, we need to confirm it first."

Emma hurriedly stood up and bowed, "I’ll go and call the physician immediately." she beamed and hurried out of the room.
