Wife of The Demon Prince -
Chapter 156: Do you want to learn?
Chapter 156: Do you want to learn?
Hamon was aware she was like this because of how much she’d drank, but he knew she’d sometimes blabber her mind out whenever she was drunk, so he decided to just play along. He stroked his chin thoughtfully, "Mhm." He hummed, "You don’t want me to care for you, wife?" He asked playfully. "Why?"
Ara didn’t reply and raised her bottle of wine to gulp it down her throat. She didn’t have an answer, as she couldn’t really tell what her feelings were either. She hated the fact that she was feeling this way, but she also liked the fact that he was treating her warmly.
When she didn’t reply and only ignored him to keep on drinking. Hamon swiftly snatched the bottle from her hand, then tipped the entire content in his mouth.
Ara’s eyebrows snapped together as she pointed an accusing finger at him, "You bottle snatcher! Why did you do that? Open another bottle for me right now."
"No, you’ve drank enough. Since I haven’t drunk yet, You can just watch me drink my portion. I’ll finish the rest for you, but you won’t have more."
"No way! I want more, I am not drunk, Hamon."
"Says the one who can barely see clearly." He deadpanned, "I’m not going to let you drink anymore."
Ara bit her lips. A similar memory from their past life flashed to her mind. Hamon would always snatch the bottle from her hand and no matter what she said, he wouldn’t give it back.
"Hey, but I invited you to join me to drink not to snatch my bottle. Give it back, I want to have more." She tried to take it back, but Hamon raised the hand holding the bottle up so she wouldn’t reach it. "That’s enough for today, wife."
Ara smacked his shoulder angrily when she couldn’t reach the bottle, "That’s cheating, Hamon! I brought all the bottles of wine here not you."
"But you’ve had enough, if I let you drink more than you’ve had now...The outcome might be dangerous, do you want that?"
"What is the danger in drinking more?" She questioned. Then Hamon slightly leaned in to say, "Are you forgetting we share a bed? If you get too drunk something might happen. That’s the danger, wife."
Ara thought through his words. What could possibly go wrong if they get drunk? Nothing, they would just end up falling asleep, right? But then, with Hamon in the room...
"Are...are you trying to tell me you are dangerous?"
"Mhm, I am." After his curt reply, Hamon opened another bottle and started to gulp it down. Ara propped her chin on both palms and watched him drink, she then said, "I don’t know why, but I trust you wouldn’t do anything to me. You are not the type to go back on your words. You’ll stick to our agreement on the contract."
Hamon gave a sardonic chuckle at the thought of all the torture he had to endure because of their so called contract agreement. She had no idea, does she?
Ara heard his chuckle, and he turned his gaze to her, when he spoke, his voice was deep and smoother than ever, "You shouldn’t trust me on that, wife. Don’t forget our agreement on the contract didn’t limit other physical contact, there is another way we can do it without exactly doing the main deed. So be a darling and don’t make me do that."
Ara looked at him questiongly. What other physical contact was he talking about?
Hamon noticed her questioning gaze and continued, "You know, there are a lot of things a man and a woman could do without going all the way, wife. And if you get too drunk and lose your inhibitions, I can’t promise you I’d hold back. So take my words and not drink anymore." He advised nonchalantly and resumed to drink his wine.
Ara still didn’t understand what other way he was talking about. Did he mean kissing? Well, maybe not. Whatever it was, she was kind of curious to know.
"Hamon, what kind of way is that?"
Ara’s pure curiosity instantly brought a sinful smirk to Hamon’s lips, "If you are too curious, how about I show you how it’s done? Do you want to learn, wife?" He slowly leaned in invading her personal space. His red eyes trailed her face then went down to her neck then back to her chest. Ara swallowed the lump in her throat at his burning gaze.
She might not know what he was talking about exactly, but she knew it was something she wouldn’t have control over with how his gaze alone was sending heat to her body. She quickly moved back and shook her head, "No, no. I don’t want to learn!"
Hamon chuckled, "I thought so too." He said and leaned back. He moistened his dry lips with his tongue. The sight of it was so erotic that it made warmth spread through her body and settled in her lower abdomen. She suddenly felt strange, and her heart began to fiercely pound against her chest.
She listened to the pounding in her head. She gazed at Hamon’s side profile, and realized that she was quite drunk. The Hamon sitting beside her seemed more handsome and tempting than usual. With his sliver hair let down his shoulders, and she suddenly felt the urge to trail the length of his satin hair. His long nose and slightly parted lips as he drank the wine.
Lord! He was too handsome to be real! She continued to gaze at him without blinking. She knew he had a handsome face right from the start, but now, he looked so tempting to the extent she wanted to...
Oh no! Perhaps the dangerous person wasn’t Hamon, but her drunk self?! To Hamon she might just be a woman who doesn’t excite him, or not be his first. But to her, he was the only man who ever made her feel this way, his touch always sent a shiver down her body and it excited her anytime they had any skin contact.
She suddenly wondered what it would feel like to have his fingers on her skin.
What was she thinking?! Ara gently hit her cheeks to sober up before she ended up doing something under the influence of alcohol. Moreover, she didn’t want to be honest about her feelings without any countermeasure. She was afraid of how Hamon would take it.
What if he said something and disappointed her? She wasn’t ready for rejection from him. Her shoulders were already heavy with burden, a rejection might cause her to break down even more. Fortunately, he’d helped her erased her depression of what happened in the soiree a bit. Maybe she should just go to sleep and let him drink.
Ara slowly rose from the sofa, "I...I am sleepy, Hamon. I’ll go to bed first. You can come in when you’re done..." She was about to walk past Hamon when he swiftly captured her wrist, "Don’t go yet."
"Huh?"
"Why did you remove the bandage wrapped on your knee?" He questioned as he slightly raised her dress to see her knee.
"You..."
To be honest, her knee had been burning the entire time, but she didn’t want to wear the bandage to the soiree. She’d been holding the pain in, until Hamon pointed it out. It wasn’t a serious injury, but standing all night because of the drama at the soiree, it felt a bit worst than when she first hurt the knee.
Ara hurriedly drew back to cover the knee for the fear of worrying Hamon, again.
"It’s not hurting so I removed the bandage..."
"I don’t buy that excuse, wife. See, Your knee is swollen. More than this morning."
Ara hadn’t even noticed the swell because of her dress, but the pain. She hadn’t shown him any signs of pain, but he’d easily detected it.
Without another word, Hamon stood up and walked back inside their room, and soon he came out with a small box of ointment and new bandages. He gently pushed her back on the sofa, "let me take a look at your knee. You’ve over done yourself today, wife." He said as he knelt down before her and raised her dress up to her knee to reveal her red swollen kneecap. He gently touched the swollen spot.
"Hamon, You shouldn’t...!" Startled by the fact that a crown Prince knelt before her made Ara rise in a hurry, but Hamon pushed her back down gently, "Don’t move and sit still until am done, okay?"
Hamon’s firm voice made Ara freeze on the sofa and obeyed. But her face flushed in embarrassment.
"You shouldn’t kneel on the ground, Hamon. It’s not a good posture for a crown Prince if someone should see you this way..."
"Let them see me, I don’t see the crime in kneeling to treat my wife’s wound." He deadpanned nonchalantly.
"It would be a great fuss, Hamon. You are not a general anymore, but the crown Prince of Findara. And a crown Prince never kneels to anybody but the king..." He was a Prince now, not the general of Greenwood.
"For all I care, You are my wife and I can choose to attend to you in however posture I want. Am just treating your knee, they can come and see. And anyone who dares utter a word against you will have to face me first."
