Chapter 126: My wife is too beautiful to be left alone
As soon as Ara and Hamon arrived at the palace. Hamon had changed his suit and was now waiting for his wife, who was taking quite a long time to change in the dressing room.
People were already waiting for them at the ballroom, but Ara hadn’t yet finished changing. He was about to go and see what was keeping her, but Ara hurried out of the dressing room while trying to fix her hair.
She wore a maroon long dress, it was an elegant fitted dress, it hugged her waist tightly and showed her curves. It had a lace on it’s chest area, and was quite low exposing her top bosom. Hamon’s eyes lingered long on her chest area before he glanced at her in disapproval,
"You can’t wear that out...what kind of seamstress would design such an incomplete dress like this?"
Ara’s forehead creased in confusion, she looked down at her dress to see in what way was it incomplete, "What do you mean?" She asked.
Hamon’s eyes went back to her exposed upper bosom and remarked, "Why is it not fully covered around the chest area? It’s too revealing."
Actually, the dress wasn’t that revealing, it just showed a little bit of cleavage of her upper bosom, but the over possessive Hamon thought it was an incomplete design. Ara recalled his words at the wedding and replied teasingly,
"Oh, so you don’t want others to see me in this gorgeous dress?" She asked.
However, Hamon’s expression was still serious as he responded, "Of course, how could I let others see what’s meant for only me to see?"
"Really now, Hamon?" Ara couldn’t help but chuckl at the seriousness of his expression. Somehow she found him cute. He looked as if he’d dig out the eyes of anybody who would glance at her. She continued to tease him,
"We just got married, but it seems like my husband wants to start interfering with what I choose to wear. Is my husband jealous?"
Hamon’s serious expression faded away at her playful tone, he strode towards her and wrapped his arms around her waist, he huskily said, "You look too beautiful, that I don’t want you to go anywhere, but to stay locked up with me alone. And this dress...it looks too good on you, so I won’t stop you from wearing it."
Ara blushed at his words, however she didn’t even mind his arms around her waist. Hamon’s mouth curved into a smile at her reddened face. He then lowered his head towards her ear and whispered, "But if possible...I only want you to wear this for only me. If you go out with this, I might end up killing any man who glances your way out of jealousy." He moved and tucked a few strands of her hair behind her ear and continued calmly,
"You better not let me see you with another man while am not there, or else his corpse would be found tomorrow at his family’s door steps." He stated in a nonchalant manner.
Ara just stared at him with her eyes widened. His words sounded too serious to be a joke. She suddenly recalled his words from before.
_’If it takes to kill a hundred men for you, I’d do it in the blink of an eye, if it takes to kill a thousand, I’d do it without a second thought, if I have to kill every man that walks the face of this earth, I’d do it even if it takes everything I am and my whole being, and even if the rumors turned out to be true, I’d kill everyone else except you’ ._
Hamon had said that if it was true that she had an affair, he’d kill all the men who came in contact with her except her, she still remembered how strange it felt when he said he wouldn’t kill her. It felt like he would choose to go against the whole world and oppose everyone else except her, the familiar strange feeling surfaced once again as the meaning behind his words dawned on her, he wouldn’t interfere with what she wore, but would kill any man who glanced at her.
She looked up at his red eyes to see if he was only joking. He flashed her a grin. He must be joking, right? Surly he had no romantic feelings towards her to desire her to the extent of killing all men. With that thought, Ara smiled and took it as a joke, she replied playfully,
"I guess you will be too busy in the future getting rid of all the men I am seeing and talking to."
Hamon’s face turned serious again, "Then I have to keep my eyes on you for the whole of today." He spoke softly, but there was a dark shadow to his words. Ara was about to ask if he was serious, but Hamon suddenly gave her a peck on the cheek and said,
"My wife is too beautiful to be left alone."
"Hamon, I said stop it!"
She wasn’t used to receiving such compliments from him, even though he had complimented her before his sweet words always brought a strange feeling to her chest, it was a strange tingling feeling, like a light flutter of feathers to tickle her heart.
Although marital respect was necessary in any relationship, but for royal men, they weren’t supposed to give their wives any much attention for fear it would undermine their authority. However, for Hamon to be playing with her and even pecked her cheek, meant he respected her and was dedicated to her.
She looked on, speechless, and he continued with a smile on his face, "Let’s not keep the guests waiting, shall we?"
She came back to her sense and nodded, "Alright." He gave her his arm, and Ara took it. Today was important, she had to take this opportunity to gain more people to Hamon’s side. She wasn’t able to talk to any of the guest in the wedding ceremony, but at this Banquet, everybody would be present.
And so the couple headed out of the dressing room.
