Chapter 236: You Turned Me Into A Weakling You Hated [4]
[KAWAI]
"But..." Kosta trailed off, getting Tamiko’s attention.
The Lycan prince didn’t even seem bothered by the fact that his Erasthai was so close to a mental breakdown right now.
It was like this mad was just another person in the life he had strived to live and hells be damned if Tamiko gave a shit about what the fuck Kosta wanted right now. Perhaps that was why Kosta just stared at the smirk on Tamiko’s face and tried a different approach.
"You’re being unreasonably cruel," Kosta said with a whimper and Tamko just started amusedly, even though there was nothing amusing about the way that shit ah gotten for the both of them.
This wasn’t the way to make amends and Tamiko had to have known that too. He was just adamant and yet at the same time, Kosta couldn’t blame him. Then again, this was a matter of their hearts, so it was supposed to be easy.
But was it ever going to be that easy when Tamiko himself wasn’t even in the mood to make any amends? He had gotten tired of fighting for what was right and his. He had gotten sick of being the one who always sweated; the one who always tried to make things right.
He was always determined to hold on, but what was there for him to be holding onto?
What part of the chaos was it supposed to be that made it all easier for the both of them? Oh, but it was a long battle and Kosta couldn’t help but feel that this was the beginning of their doom.
But would Tamiko let them get doomed?
"Me? You are the one who gave me a fucking mind-blowing blow job when you had decided you would die that evening. And you think I’m the cruel one? Was that what goodbye looks like for you?
"And before you think I care, I don’t. I’m just trying to think of why the fuck you would act like I was your world one minute and a disposable Lycan the next," Tamiko laughed humorlessly.
He had been hurt by the way Kosta had acted that day and while he didn’t have his humanity on, he still could remember the way that his heart had constricted at the realization.
It had been the worst day of his life, worse than being told that he was a Lycan and that he had been slaving away Grealor his entire life. He couldn’t think of any reason why Kosta would have chosen to do that to him.
Kosta knew how harsh life had been for Tamiko and the terrible goodbyes always left him, and yet he had still decided to do the most fuck-ass thing on the face of the realm.
It was not something that Tamiko was going to forgive and he wasn’t about to act like the sun was all good or even that his life was so perfect and that he had taken a turn for the best. There was nothing better here.
Tamiko still had the bitter taste of the love they had shared and the way that shit had turned upside down that minute. He hated the way that everyone had looked at him like he had been just a rogue and not one to be talked to.
The man who was supposed to love him the most had broken his heart without even giving him a chance to make amend. Kosta had taken the burden of everything and it was almost like nothing was ever supposed to happen.
That wasn’t the kind of that that Tamiko had signed up for. He had been told that mate bonds were sacred and that they needed to be dealt with in the right way, so why the fuck was it so hard for anyone to understand whatever was going on?
Why was it so hard for them to understand that life was never going to be as easy? There was nothing that they wouldn’t have found a way around together and yet Kosta had chosen the worst decision ever.
If Kosta had come clean to Tamiko, they would have found a way around it. If all that was needed for Tamiko to save his Erasthai was for him to come out and be the Lycan prince, then Tamiko would have done it in a heartbeat.
For Kosta, he was more than ready to fight even his father. He had made that clear from the very beginning and all that Konstantin we supposed to do was to trust him, and yet here they were.
The result of that betrayal was not something that Tamiko would be forgetting in quite a while and regardless of what this meant for them, Tamiko had made up his mind.
"You know that’s not what I meant," Kosta tried to reason and Tamiko stared at him like this wasn’t the time for all of this. The time for reconciliation and making amends had long passed.
They were past the phase where things would be fixed with a kiss or even a fuck, because that was something that had been ruined.
Honestly, if Kosta were to kiss Tamiko or even offer for them to have a good time, Tamiko wouldn’t ever trust him in a while. The mab had used their intimacy as a weapon.
It had broken his heart and it had ruined him. This was not something he could forget no matter what had to be presented to him. Kosta had fucked them over, and it would take a while for Tamiko to get over that.
He had shot at Tamiko with a loaded gun and the worst part was that Tamiko could have easily taken the fall and saved them both. It wasn’t supposed to be that hard or complex.
They could have maneuvered the streams and yet Kosta had chosen the hardest way out. And here they were too broke to even understand what life we supposed to be like. It wasn’t fair and it won’t ever be easy.
Maybe this was the end for them?
"Honestly, I don’t care for theories right now. You can do whatever you want. I’ll reject you so you don’t have to linger around me all the time while threatening to leave me all the time.
"That shit was fucked up, but hey, you want your freedom. So here it is... I, Kaito Hinata, of house Hinata, reject yo—" Tamiko began but before he could finish his sentence, Kosta disappeared through a portal, leaving Tamiko laughing humorlessly.
It pissed him off regardless because this was what Kosta had wanted so desperately.
He had ruined their relationship for space and yet he couldn’t even take the first step. It was almost like he had been playing a long game with Tamiko, which made it all even worse what kind of fate was this for the both of them then?
What in the hell were they supposed to make of this when love and life were suddenly being used as weapons of competence against him? What part of life had they both gotten to and why the fuck did it make Tamiko feel worse than before?
"You wanted to reject me and when I want to give you your freedom you run away? You really are a piece of work. Igor Konstantin," Tamiko laughed as he walked back to the palace.
