Chapter 147: Will I Ever Be Him?
[GREALOR]
Gabriel Grealor wanted to call a bluff when his warriors had come to give him the news about the pack turning into headless zombies headed for the woods.
He was so desperate and wanted to think that this was all just an illusion, but as he stepped out and saw his warriors rushing toad the woods, clearly having taken the bait, he knew he was fucked.
There was no other explanation for this.
They began playing like pawns on the chessboard and frankly, it was disappointing, to say the least. Nothing was making sense in one too many ways and no matter what he wanted to try, Gabriel could see the defeat looming over them like it was their second nature.
"HALT!!" Gabriel growled in his alpha tone, one that got the warriors to falter and hold for a moment, before they kept going. It was like they didn’t have minds of their own to see for a fact that whatever they were doing was suicide.
This was insanity at best and frankly it was scary, to say the least.
No one had ever seen this shit happen and even alpha Ashton who was watching from the window, hoping to the goddess that his son managed to pull back the warriors and get them to keep their distance from the king and his son, knew that this was insanity.
"Why aren’t they stopping?" Gabe asked himself as he rushed towards the woods. If his people attacked first, then the Hinatas would see a basis to fight the Grealor wolves to the death. It was that simple and the Lycan king had to have known that by now.
"Tamiko!!" Gabe called out, the desperation in his voice, reaching the mate who had abandoned him for a more powerful one.
It was a call that got Gabriel hoping to the goddess that Tamiko would put a stop to all of this, but even if Tamiko wanted to, what were the chances that he would actually go through with it?
The torment on Gabriel’s face as he rushed past his warriors and tried to talk them down was more than just impressive. It was easily the best of things that could have ever happened and it made Tamiko feel like the world was the best place at the moment.
This was worth it and whatever misery the young wolf was going through; Tamiko couldn’t help but wish that it was tenfold. That was just how perfect he envisioned this to be and there wasn’t a thing that would ever change that.
"Why the fuck are you shouting?" Tamiko asked broadly as he stared at his father and then at Kosta who were watching in amazement as the warrior struggled to follow Gabrie’s command.
It was an interesting fight with their sanity and Tamiko loved every bit of this. Regardless of what happened and how it happened there was no denying the fact that they had all come from afar.
"Please, call it off," Gabe pleaded and Tamiko stared at him wondering what in the hell he was talking about.
Of course, Tamiko had suspected mind control with the way the warriors had come at them, but seeing Gabrie here so desperate to make things right even for this moment, was all that Tamiko needed to know that this was not Gabriel’s doing.
There was only one person who was strong enough to do that and right now he was splitting wood with his bare hands, whistling to a tune that no one knew, and acting co casually like they were just a random family that had chosen to live in the woods.
"Get the fuck out of my sight, Gabriel. It’s not my fault you can’t control your minions. If they so much as hit the boundary we set around the house, then don’t blame me for what will happen to them," Tamiko said with a smirk as he walked over to where Kosta was seated, and sat on the Lycan chief like it was normal.
Meanwhile, the werewolf warriors were fighting to break free of the mind compulsion. They had seen what was happening, and they knew that this wasn’t their doing, but even then, they were unable to break free of what the hell was happening right now.
It felt like the worst of curses for them, but then the Hinatas hadn’t even started with them in the proper manner. This was merely a warmup that the father was doing, because he wanted to see what would happen here. Oh, but Gabe was fucked.
"Please, Iko," Gabe whispered, hoping to get through to the young Lycan. He knew that Tamiko was the devil but even the devil had a soft spot and that was what he was counting on.
Gabe was hoping that mercy was the one thing that could make things right for the both of them. It was a long gamble, especially given how Tamiko was seated on Kosta, so casually you would think that this was what they did daily.
Gabe flinched at the sight, wondering why he had to go through this. A part of him still loved Tamiko.
Hell, who was she kidding, he wanted Tamiko to be his in every way. He loved the boy and if there was a way that Tamiko could have two mates, Gabriel Grealor was willing to submit.
Then again, wasn’t it a little too late for that, especially for him? Weren’t they way past the madness that came with whatever the hell was going on right now?
"My father did that, not me. If anything, you should be asking him for mercy," Tamiko said as he leaned closer to Kosta’s neck, breathing the Lycan chief in like Kosta was the best thing he had ever had in the longest time.
The caramel scent from Kosta was so divine and addictive that Tamiko was trying so hard not to lose control.
He was tempted to show Gabriel even more that Kosta owned his body and soul, that Kosta was the one person who could do everything for Tamiko and that the young prince would never complain, not even once.
Oh but Tamiko was down so bad for the barbarian.
"I will give you what you want, if you tell him to stop. Please, Tamiko. It’s too early for a bloodbath that isn’t warranted, please," Gabriel pleaded and Tamiko laughed at him openly like he was either the dumbest little shit, or he just didn’t know what he needed to do.
"Are you sure about that?" Tamiko asked as he turned to Gabriel. He knew there was a lot that he needed to work with this man, but right now, the depreciation was smoking. Tamiko was excited. It was like he wanted to ask for the craziest of things.
"Yes, I am. Anything," Gabe insisted and Tamiko let out a laugh.
"Even Grealor?" Tamiko asked, and Gabriel just stared at him, the loneliness in the young wolf’s eyes making a show for the second time today. It was tempting for Tamiko to amusement this way, perhaps just another game, but he knew it wasn’t.
"I’d say yes to Grealor, but we both know you don’t want to have the pack that ruined your life, Tamiko. Anything else, please," Gabriel begged and Tamiko stared at the man before him. Perhaps Gabriel wasn’t always stupid, no?
"Fine. I want Daniel Belova dismissed as the Grealor beta. You do that and I’ll stop him," Tamiko smirked.
