Lin Yan smiled and sat down besides Fang Mei. She opened her pause and bought out a chocolate "Do you want it?"

Fang Mei looked at the chocolate and nodded.

Lin Yan gave the chocolate to Fang Mei and watched as she tried to open it but couldn’t.

Lin Yan took back the chocolate and gave it back to Fang Mei after opening it.

"Li Xiao like eating chocolates, so I always have a few in my bag." Lin Yan said with a smile.

Fang Mei who had already began eating the chocolate suddenly stopped and threw it away.

Lin Yan was surprised by her action, she wondered if the reason Fang Mei threw away the chocolate was because she mentioned that it was Li Xiao favorite.

"You must really hate Li Xiao, but why? She has never done anything wrong to you."

Just then his phone rang, he sighed when he saw the number that was calling him and answered "What do you want?"

"That is no way to greet your brother-in-law, but anyway I’m bored and my sister isn’t answering her calls."

"She is busy and aren’t you the CEO of a company, shouldn’t you be busy as well?"

"I should right? But someone ordered me to tie up every loose end."

"And so, is it done?"

"Yes, Zi Xia won’t be a problem to us anymore."

Li Lingyun frowned and asked "You didn’t kill her, did you?"

Lin An was silent for a moment before laughing softly and said "This is why you are my favorite person and I’m fine. What are you up to?"

Lin Yan smiled a little when he called her his favorite person and said "I’m at the Li mansion."

Lin An scoffed and said "Does the old man still do that. Bring you all together every weekend?"

"Yes, he still does it. I don’t know why but I feel like something is going to happen. Fang Mei had an outburst on how much she hates Li Xiao and when I tried to talk to her, she said she hates me too. That kid has issues."

"Why would you try to talk to her. Lin Yan, whenever you act out of character, you always worry me."

"Act out of character? What do you mean by that?"

"Fang Mei isn’t you. That girl is moved by jealousy and hatred."

"And that is because of Fang Min. Fang Mei has poison her mind and that is why she behaves like that."

"Don’t Lin Yan. You are not her savior. If you take her in, show her love that she has never received from her parents then her hatred for Li Xiao will only increase and your daughter will be put in danger so don’t act out of character."

Lin Yan was quiet for a moment. Lin An was right, what if her actions makes Fang Mei to harm Li Xiao. "You are right, i shouldn’t get involved in Fang Mei matters."

"If you need me, remember to give me a call."

"I will. Bye."

Lin Yan sighed when the call ended and was about to go inside the house when she saw Old Master Li bulter standing in front of her.

"How long have you been standing there?" She wondered if he heard her conversation with Lin An.

"I just came a few seconds ago. Old Master Li will like to have a word with you."

A word with her? What business does she have with that man.

Lin Yan nodded and said "Let’s go."

Lin Yan knocked on Old Master Li study and opened the door after receiving permission to come in.

"You wanted to see me?" Lin Yan asked as soon as she entered the study. She saw the old man looking out the window and seeing the direction he was looking at she could guess that he must have seen her with Fang Mei.

"Why do you feel I have bad intentions with Li Lingyun? You must have been keeping watch of me so you must already know that i no longer see Mu Chen."

"Yes, I know about that. You no longer see Mu Chen, but you seen to have gotten close to Lin An."

"Lin An and I are just friends. He saved my life and for that I will forever be grateful to him."

"Is your relationship with Lin An really just that. You ran out of your event ceremony immediately you heard that he was hospitalized. You even spent the night at the hospital with him. How shameless can you be?"

"I spent the night at the hospital with Li Lingyun and not with Lin An. Li Lingyun gave his blood to save Lin An, that is how sure he is about my relationship with Lin An."

Old Master Li looked at his bulter and said "Confirm if her words her true."

"Yes sir." The butler nodded and left the study.

The old man looked at Lin Yan and said "If I find out that you are lying to me, then I will make sure you pay for it."

"Yes grandpa." Lin Yan replied sarcastically.

Old Master Li frowned when he heard the sarcasm in her voice and then suddenly asked "Do you love my grandson?"
