Chapter 90: My Favorite.

It was the weekend and as tradition all members of the Li Family were to gathered at the Li mansion.

Lin Yan looked at her dress in the mirror and asked "Do we have to go?"

Li Lingyun who was well dressed hugged her from behind and said "We don’t really have a choice." He kissed her cheek and said "You look beautiful by the way."

Lin Yan smiled and suddenly remembered the things she has still not given to him "Wait here, I’ll be right back."

Before Li Lingyun could reply, Lin Yan ran out of the room and within few minutes came back with two shopping bags.

"What is this?"

"I bought them for you a long time ago but I haven’t been able to give you till now."

Li Lingyun smiled and collected them, he removed the clothes and saw they were casual clothes.

"It’s not usually what you wear but since we are planning on going for a family trip, I think this clothes is the best." Lin Yan said. She was kind of nervous wondering if he will like them or not.

Li Lingyun noticed Lin Yan nervousness but said nothing, he only walked towards her and kissed her forehead as he whispered "Thank you."

"I also bought you something else."

"Really? What is it?" Li Lingyun asked with a smile on his eyes.

Lin Yan walked towards the dressing table and opened the drawer, she bought out a small box from the drawer and handed it to Li Lingyun.

Li Lingyun collected the box and opened it "A wristwatch?"

"I bought it with the my own money so it isn’t that expensive."

Li Lingyun bought out the watch from the box and gave the box to Lin Yan "Help me hold this for a moment."

Lin Yan held the box and watched as he put on the watch round his wrist, she smiled and said "It fits perfectly."

Li Lingyun looked at Lin Yan with a smile "You know i have a lot of watches but this one is definitely my favorite."

Just then Li Xiao opened the door and ran inside the room as she shouted "Mummy!"

Lin Yan opened her arms wide and carried Li Xiao who ran towards her.

""Before you will always run to me but now you always run towards your mother." Li Lingyun said gently teasing Li Xiao.

Li Xiao hid her face in her mother’s neck without saying anything.

Both Li Lingyun and Lin Yan laughed at her action.

"Should I make your hair into two ponytails?" Lin Yan asked.

"Yes!"

"Be fast with it. You know grandpa always get grumpy whenever will are late."

"I will be quick." She turned her attention to Li Xiao and said in a childish voice "Let’s go."

Li Mansion

"Grandpa!" Li Xiao let go of Lin Yan hand and ran to her grandfather.

"Oh, my precious grandbaby is here." Old Master Li said as he hugged Li Xiao small body.

Lin Yan bowed to the old man slightly and said "Sorry, we are late." Getting Li Xiao ready was harder than she thought. After making the pony tail, the little girl decided she wanted to change her clothes but rejected every clothes she gave to her, it was Li Lingyun who made her to realize that what the little girl really wanted was to wear matching clothes with her. Thankfully, she was able to find a blue dress that slightly matched hers.

Li Lingyun entered the house after parking his car and held Lin Yan hand’s.

Old Master Li who saw his actions scoffed and held Li Xiao hand as he said "I made sure all your favorite food has been prepared. Does that make you happy?"

"Yes." Li Xiao answered with a wide smile on her face.

At the dinning table everyone was present including Wang Hua. Fang Min sat close to Li Jun and Lin Yan could see that her belly has become bigger.

As usual Li Xiao sat at Old Master Li lap as he fed her with his own hands.

Fang Mei looked at the old man with sadness in her eyes and ate her food silently.

Fang Min who noticed this clenched her fist silently and was about to say something when she heard the old man asking "Fang Mei, do you wish to change your school?"

Fang Mei smiled when she heard her grandfather talking to her, she was about to reply when Fang Min said "Of course she has to change, it would be best if she goes to Royal High Academy, it is the next best or should I say currently the best school in country D."

"But the problem now is Royal High isn’t accepting any new students." Li Jun stated.

"However, I’m sure Li Lingyun can help us after all he was able to get Li Xiao enrolled in it within a day." Fang Min said with a smile.

"Of course Li Lingyun can help after all Fang Mei is family." Wang Hua said.

"Or maybe we should just ask the girl if she wants to go back to school. What happened to her was very traumatizing." This time it was Li Ran who voiced his opinion.

Li Qi on the other hand ate his food without saying anything.

"What happened to Fang Mei." Li Xiao innocently asked.

Fang Min scoffed and said "You didn’t know?"

"Fang Min!" Lin Yan called with a warning in her voice.

Fang Mei smirk and said "How long do you think you can protect the Li princess from finding out that all her classmates her...."

"Fang Min!" This time it was Li Lingyun who called her name. His voice was cold and chilling that even Fang Min became afraid of him.

The dinning table became quiet again, old master Li passed Li Xiao to his bulter who placed her beside Lin Yan.

Old Master Li cleared his throat and said to Fang Mei "You should always remember that Li Xiao is like your younger sister whom you should always protect. Ok?"

Fang Mei looked at the old man and asked "Why should I protect her? There are a lot of people already doing that so why should I be among them?"

"Fang Mei." Fang Min called out silently.

"I don’t want to." She looked at Li Xiao with hatred in her eyes before standing up and running away.

"Fang Mei!!" Fang Min called out as her daughter ran away, she wanted to run to her when Li Jun held her hand and said "I should do it. You are pregnant and shouldn’t be stress in this condition. I will go after her."

Without thinking Fang Min forcefully removed her hand from Li Jun hold and ran after Fang Mei while holding her belly.

"How many times does things like this need to happen before you finally give up on this tradition?" Li Lingyun asked before drinking his wine slowly.

Old Master Li held his cutlery and said "Until things like this no longer happens."

Lin Yan looked at Li Xiao and noticed that she was staring at Fang Mei plate that was still filled with food. This was really because of the old man, she wondered if there was a reason he did all those things.

Wang Hua on the other hand was angry at the way Fang Min disrespected her son by forcefully removing her hand from his.

Fang Min was able to find her daughter in the garden crying and rather than consoling her she said "Are you happy, now that you have disgraced me? Have you forgotten how much I told you that the old man approval is very important, so why did you pull that little stunt?"

Fang Mei tears increase when her mother began scolding her instead of consoling her. She cleaned her tears with her little fist and said "Even you don’t really love, I hate you."

"Fang Mei! Get your act together and apologize. Mummy will be very angry if you don’t apologise to grandpa, remember you must always be on his good books." Fang Min said and held Fang Mei hand, she wanted to dragged Fang Mei back to the house but the girl refused to go anywhere with her and out of anger Fang Min pushed her daughter away.

"Fine! If what you want is to mop around and cry, then do so. You are so annoying."

Fang Mei watched as her mother left her with tears in eyes and felt very lonely until she heard a voice saying "Why is a pretty girl crying so much?"

Fang Mei turned to the voice and was surprised by the person who spoke to her, she opened her mouth and called out "Aunty Shen Yi?"
