"Have a seat." Li Lingyun said as Ji Gua came into his office. He stood up from his seat and sat at the couch facing Ji Gua.

Li Lingyun looked at the door to the room in his office and sighed, walked towards it and opened the door and there he saw one of Li Xiao toys lying on the floor, he picked it and dialed a number on the phone when the call went through he heard a beautiful voice calling him "Daddy?"

Li Lingyun smiled and asked "What are you doing right now?"

"Uncle Si is teaching me how to play chess."

"Are you having fun or is it boring?"

"It’s very fun. Uncle Si asked if I would like to stay with him forever?"

"And what did you tell him? Would you like to stay with him forever?"

"I love spending time with uncle Si but I love you more."

Li Lingyun laughed softly and said "I will come pick you up shortly."

"Will mummy be coming with you?"

"No, she isn’t."

"Are you and mummy still fighting?" Li Xiao asked sadly.

Si Yan was right when he said it was all affecting Li Xiao "We made up. Me and your mum won’t fight again."

"Really?" Li Xiao asked in excitement.

"Really. And I know you may not understand what am about to say to you but thank you, for coming into my life when I needed you the most."

"Is that your way of saying you love me."

Li Lingyun smiled, his kid was becoming smarter "Yes, it’s my way of saying I love you so much."

Li Xiao giggled and said "I love you too Dad."

The call ended but Li Lingyun still held the toy in his hand and thought the only reason he didn’t become a mad man, the only reason both him and Si Yan did not completely give themselves to the darkness which hunted them for years was because of his little girl, his girl was like a light that came at the right time to their lives and that is why if there is anybody he could trust with Li Xiao’s life, it would definitely be Si Yan.

"Was it your dad just now." Si Yan asked as he came out of the kitchen with a cup of chocolate tea and saw Li Xiao leaving the chess board and reaching for her toys instead.

Li Xiao nodded her head with a smile and said "Dad called to tell me he loves me so much."

Si Yan scoffed and said "When did he become so cheesy?"

"He also said that him and mummy are no longer fighting."

Si Yan squatted to Li Xiao level and asked "Does that make you happy?"

"It makes me very happy."

Si Yan smiled as he carress Li Xiao hair. He still remember when she could do nothing but eat and sleep and now she was already four years old. His baby was growing up so fast, he truly wished she was his daughter.

Li Xiao caught the glimpse of sadness that appeared in Si Yan eyes and asked. "Should I tell daddy not to bother picking me up?"

Si Yan looked at her in surprised and asked "Do you want to stay with me the whole of today."

Li Xiao nodded her head and hugged him as she said "I want to sleep while Uncle Si reads me a story today."

Si Yan let out a rare smile and hugged her little body as he stood up. Just then his phone rang and it was Meng Zhu, he held Li Xiao in one hand and answered the call with his other hand.

"Hello."

"Have you seen news?"

Si Yan could hear the anxiousness in Meng Zhu, so he asked "What news?"

"There was a shoot out at the Imperial Academy."

"What?" Si Yan looked at Li Xiao and trembled. Li Xiao would have been at that school at this moment if she didn’t stabbed a girl.
