When the call ended, all gentleness left his eyes as he looked at Gu Wei and asked "What do you have for me."

Gu Wei who was shocked the whole time Li Lingyun was speaking to Shen Yi immediately compose himself and said "Mr. Chen said he can’t make it for the meeting today and asked for it to be postponed."

"Any valid reason why he can’t make it."

"He didn’t give me any, sir."

"Don’t postponed it, just cancel the meeting."

"Yes sir. Your grandmother want you to have dinner at the Meng mansion today and she wants you to bring Miss Xiao along."

"I already have plans for dinner. Inform her that both I and Li Xiao can’t make it tonight."

"Yes sir."

"Were you able find out the person that gave the truck driver the money."

"Yes. I was able to trace the account he received the money but it was from a foreign account under the name Adam Lewis."

"Who is he?"

"A 47 years old man, he was involved in trading until he died of cancer."

"He is dead?"

"Yes, but the strange thing was, he died in the hospital a week after your parents accident. The transaction he made to the truck driver was the last transaction he did when he was alive."

"What about his family?"

"He had none."

"So we are at a dead end again."

"I’m sorry sir."

Li Lingyun sighed and asked "What has Li Qiu been up to lately?"

"For the past two days he has been indoors but today your nephew Li Jun visited him."

"Still keep your eyes on him."

"Yes sir."

"Anything else."

"Miss Su Yin asked to have a meeting with you."

"Tell her I’m not available."

"Yes sir. But...."

"She said that if you refused to see her then you should not be surprised to see her at your house after all she would love to know your wife."

Li Lingyun sighed and said "Arrange a meeting with her at lunch tomorrow."

He Jia looked at Zhou Xi excited expression and said "You have been very happy recently. Did anything exciting happened that I am unaware of."

Zhou Xi smiled, in fact whenever she remember what happened between her and Mu Chen, it always put a smile on her face. Though they did not do anything extreme but from Mu Chen behavior she could tell that he liked her. She felt lucky that she entered the body of a beautiful girl and who is also an actress. The universe must have seen how much she had suffered with that bastard Li Lingyun. She looked at He Jia and asked "We should go to the film site soon and besides, don’t I have any other friend apart from you."

"Why? Are you not satisfied with me?" He Jia asked as she was hurted by Zhou Xi question. She has been besides Zhou Xi for many years but ever since her accident she has always felt like the girl in front of her was a stranger.

Zhou Xi saw He Jia hurtful expression and said "That’s not the case. I’m just curious on if I was close to anyone apart from you."

He Just shook her head and said "No. You have always kept to herself. I was the only one you were close to."

Zhou Xi nodded and said "Let’s go, I don’t want to be late for the shoot."

At the set, Meng Ziyi noticed how Zhou Xi would continually steal glances at Mu Chen and then she looked at Mu Chen who was beside her and asked "That lowly actress seem to be fond of you."

Mu Chen sighed and said "Not now, Ziyi."

"Is there something between the two of you thar I don’t know of?"

"What? Of course not. Why would you ever think that I will have anything to do with a wretched girl like her. And besides why are you interrogating me so much, the both of us are only friends so you don’t have a say in my life." Mu Chen said angrily and left her side.

While looking at Zhou Xi, Meng Ziyi brought out her phone from her pocket and dialed a number and when the call went through she said "I want you to get rid of someone and don’t worry about the money because I am willing to pay any amount."

At The Sun Villa

Lin Yan looked at the mess she made in the kitchen and felt like crying, even with the tutorial, she still couldn’t do it. What should she do? After the boast she made to Li Lingyun, she cannot end up like this.

She picked up her phone and called Lin An and when the call went through she immediately cried "Lin An helped me!"

Lin An who just got home immediately asked "Are you trouble?"

"Why is cooking so difficult?"

Hearing her question Lin An relaxed and asked "Are you an idiot? What are even doing in the kitchen?"

"I promise Li Xiao that I will cook something for her."

"Then watch videos on how to cook."

"I tried, but it didn’t work."

"I’m not surprised."

Lin Yan rolled her eyes and said "I called you to help me, not to mocked me."

"Switch it to video call."

Lin Yan immediately switched it to video call and the first thing she saw was Lin An disapproving look.

"I’m a very strict teacher just so you know."

Lin Yan nodded. After telling him what she wanted to cook, Lin An directed her on every single step and within an hour the food was ready.

Lin Yan looked at Lin An in gratitude and said "I own you one. You have no idea how much you’ve saved me today."

"Stop being so dramatic."

Lin Yan got teary and said "Lin An, I really really love you."

Looking at teary eyes, Lin An scoffed and said "How could I have forgotten that you were a cry baby."

"I’m not a cry baby." Lin Yan defended.

Lin An chuckle and said "Lin Yan, I have never told you this but thank you for staying alive." And then he immediately end the call.

Lin Yan smiled, she looked at the time and saw that Li Lingyun would soon be home and truly within five minutes Li Lingyun entered the house and was surprised when he didn’t smell any burnt food item.

He saw Shen Yi coming out from the kitchen and before he could say anything she went to pulled off his jacket as she said "You must be tired but luckily you have a wife who have prepared a awesome dinner for you. Go change and come downstairs, I will go call Li Xiao."

Li Lingyun looked at Shen Yi excited expression and smiled, unlike today, he has never anticipated dinner before. He truly wanted to know how the great dinner is wife cooked would taste like.

After bathing and changing his clothes, Li Lingyun went downstairs and saw that both Li Xiao and Shen Yi were already sitted in the dining table.

After Li Lingyun sat down, Shen Yi served the food and said "Try it. I’m sure it tastes great."

Li Lingyun stared at the food in front of him and he thought that the food looked and smell nice so it definitely won’t taste bad, right?

He looked at Li Xiao and saw that Li Xiao was also looking at him, and then he looked at Shen Yi and saw that she too was also looking at him. He sighed and took the first bite, after swallowing it, he said "It’s actually not bad."

"Really? Thank goodness."

Li Lingyun looked at his wife and asked "Why are you so excited? Didn’t you say you made a great dinner? so I’m sure you already expected your food to taste nice, right?"

Lin Yan who noticed her mistake immediately compose herself and said "Of course. I’m just glad that it was to your taste."

Li Lingyun nodded and said "Since you cook so well, would you like to cook dinner again tomorrow?"

Lin Yan glare at Li Lingyun and said "Don’t push it."

Li Lingyun laughed gently and didn’t say anything else.

Lin Yan looked at Li Xiao and asked gently "Baby, do you like it?"

Li Xiao nodded her head immediately and smiled at her mother.

After dinner, Shen Yi said "Take Li Xiao to her room, I will clean up here."

Li Lingyun nodded and carried Li Xiao in his arms as he said "My baby is becoming so big." He kissed her cheek and smiled when she giggled.

Li Yan smiled when she saw their interaction, she has always thought that Li Lingyun was this cold monster who never understood the meaning of feelings but having stayed with him for close to a month, she realized she was wrong about him.

After arranging all the dishes in the sink and was about to wash it, she felt a hand round her waist as she was embrace from behind.

"What are you doing?" Lin Yan asked nervously and she was answered with a soft kiss on her neck that made her shivered.

"Do you know why I haven’t kissed you yet?" Li Lingyun asked gently as he planted more kisses on her neck

"Because I knew I would be done for, if I taste those lips." Li Lingyun turned her around and cupped her cheek softly.

At this point, Lin Yan breath was already heavy, she didn’t know what to say but perhaps she too wanted it. She looked at Li Lingyun in the eyes and asked "And now?"

Li Lingyun smiled at the question and brush his lips against her "Now, I think I am ready to be done for." He kissed her gently, using his tongue to coax her lips into opening up and when she did, he immediately he thrust his tongue into her mouth.

Lin Yan moan softly when Li Lingyun thrust his tongue into her mouth, sucking it and hearing her moan made Li Lingyun to kiss her more deeply and passionately.

At this moment they both knew they were at a point of no return.
