Huh? What was he talking about, how can she date him? "We are already married so what is the use of us dating?" Lin Yan said as she tries to escape answering his question.

"Will you date me?" Li Lingyun asked again.

"I.... don’t know." She didn’t know if she ever want to be in a relationship again. Yes, she admits that she has began to feel attracted to Li Lingyun but she didn’t want anything to distract her from her revenge.

Li Lingyun nodded and said "Goodnight."

Lin Yan felt disheartened when she saw Li Lingyun going up to his room. Her brother was right, she can’t fall in love again especially not with Li Lingyun. With that in mind, she went to Li Xiao room and smiled softly when she saw the little girl sleeping.

Lin Yan pulled off her shoe and entered the bed quietly, she hugged Li Xiao close to her and was happy when the little girl did not wake up.

All of sudden she felt the vibration of her phone and saw it was a message that says ’I agree to take the compensation.’ After reading the message, Lin Yan switched off her phone and fell asleep while holding Li Xiao.

Li Lingyun woke up very early to check up on his daughter and was surprised when he saw his wife and daughter together on the same bed sleeping peacefully. He left the room quietly and called Gu Wei, after the call went through he said "Prepare the car, we are going to the old mansion first."

The Old Mansion

"Have you gone mad, why will I give my hotel to your wife." Old Master Li yelled at Li Lingyun.

"It is no longer your hotel, it’s in Wang Hua name and ever since she had been in charge she has done nothing but made the hotel to lose money and if not for her precious son, the hotel would have gone bankrupt."

"How does putting it in Shen Yi name any better? You know I don’t like her. And besides the hotel is already in Wang Hua name, there is nothing I can do about it."

"Grandpa. I know you can think of something to make Wang Hua give up her right to the hotel." Li Lingyun replied.

"And you don’t think my brain is too old to come up with a manipulative idea."

Li Lingyun just gave his grandfather a look.

"Fine. I will think of something and transfer the hotel to Shen Yi name but on one condition."

"What’s the condition?"

"I want to see more of my great-grand-daughter."

Li Lingyun smiled and said "Li Xiao will spend her entire weekend with you. Deal?"

Old Master Li smiled and said "Two weekends"

"Grandpa."

"Two weekends or no deal."

Li Lingyun sighed and said "Fine, two weekends and Si Yan is going to kill me for this."

"Who cares about that brat and you have a deal."

Li Lingyun chuckled at his grandfather childish behavior.

Li Qiu house.

"How have you been?" Li Qiu asked as he passed a glass of wine to his grandson.

"How do you expect me to be when that old man is forcing me to marry Fang Min within a month " Li Jun said angrily.

Li Qiu looked at Li Jun with no expression on his face as he asked "When last did you have a nice sleep?"

"I can’t even remember. I feel so exhausted and trapped lately."

"Do you miss her?"

"Miss who?"

"Lin Yan. You know before all this I actually thought you loved her."

"I did love her."

"Then why did you allow Fang Min to get away with everything she did, including killing your unborn child."

"Because Fang Min is more useful to me than a dead Lin Yan. The Fang family had been a military family for years though they may not be rich but they have connections and I need those connections inorder to destroy Li Lingyun."

"Don’t you think it’s already too late for that. Once Meng Zhu become the president of this country, then Li Lingyun power would be unstoppable."

"Then we need to stop it. We need to stop Meng Zhu from being the president of country D." Li Jun said with a wicked glint in his eyes.

Four days later.

"I’m so glad you agreed to accept the compensation." Lin Yan said to Mrs Shang the woman who she spoke to days ago. She has tried to talk to the other people but it’s like they were all avoiding her so she thought it would be best to visit Mrs Shang again.

"Thank you for taking the time to convince me. I’m sure I am making the right decision for me and my son. Also I will like to apologise for what happened that day, it turned out that the person who threw a stone was one of the neighborhood son, he confessed that he was paid to do so."

Lin Yan was not surprised but then an idea came to her and she asked "Is there anyway I can arrange a meeting with everyone who lives in this neighborhood."

Mrs Shang nodded and said "If you can convince Bo Cheng then you don’t need to worry about the rest."

"Bo Cheng?"

Mrs Shang nodded and said "Everybody listens to him and why wouldn’t we? He is always there to fight for our right and ensure that we are not taken advantage of, so if Bo Cheng says it’s alright to accept compensation then the others will definitely accept."

"But he doesn’t stay in this neighborhood, why would he be invested in your lives."

"He may not stay in this neighborhood but his grandmother stays here."

Lin Yan nodded and said "Then, can you help me to arrange a meeting with him."

"Of course I can. He was furious when he heard how the neighborhood treated you and I’m sure he would agree to the meeting."

Lin Yan smiled and nodded "Thank you very much."

Lin Yan entered her car and immediately she received a call from Li Lingyun, she answered and said "Hello."

"Are you in that neighborhood?"

"Yes."

"Are you alright? Did they behave themselves this time."

"Yes and not only that I also just found a way for me to get all the people to accept the compensation and move out peacefully."

"You do know that you have just two days left."

"Don’t remind me of that. I’m going to pick up Li Xiao from school and also I will make a lovely dinner tonight for three of us."

"Should I be worried about my house getting burnt down." Li Lingyun asked teasingly.

"Haha, very funny."

Li Lingyun laughed gently and said "You can’t blame me on this."

"It was just an egg, it doesn’t prove anything. I’m sure that Everybody has burnt an egg or two in their lives."

"I haven’t."

Lin Yan rolled her eyes and said "Yes, I get it. You are so perfect. Just watch, tonight i am going to show you my perfect cooking skills."

Li Lingyun smiled and said "I’m still deciding on whether I should be excited or worried."

"Well be excited and stop being so annoying."

Li Lingyun chuckled and said "I have to go now. I can’t wait for dinner tonight."

Lin Yan scoffed and ended the call but she couldn’t stop herself from smiling until she received another call from her brother.

"Hello"

"I found it." Lin An said in an excited voice.

"What did you find?"

"I found the test result that prove that you were pregnant when you died."

Lin Yan immediately match the brake on her car and said "Finally."
