"Weak." Kyle muttered shooting out again, firing balls of dark flames to the worms bodies. He also used his fist and legs to assault the creature just for fun.

’Where is it?’ Kyle wondered checking the map. He could see they were at the exact spot, but no castle whatsoever anywhere.

’Is this thing broken?’ Kyle frowned shaking the map. Even going as far as to swipe down, in hopes to refresh it.

[Seriously..] snow sarcastically spoke.

’What, you never know.’ Kyle shrugged ignoring her. Sliding down the slope, they made their way up the hill to it’s back in hopes to find something. But unfortunately, it was just more sand with no castle wherever.

Placing his hand to his chin Kyle seemed to be thinking about something.

’Snow can your system tell if there’s a castle or building here?’ He inwardly asked.

[Unfortunately I can’t. But I do however sense the aura’s of various beast around here.] Snow answered to which Kyle nodded.

’Guess there’s only one way to find out.’ Stretching his hand he shot out a blast of dark flames. The flames moved fast heading forward, and one had expected it to pass through the empty space but it didn’t. Instead was blocked by a strange force of some kind.

"A barrier." Kyle frowned, seeing his flames have no effect on whatsoever this was.

[It’s more like an invisible forcefield erected to conceal the castle. Of course! it makes sense now why we can’t see it. There must be some powerful artifact concealing it’s existence. ]

’But how do we get in?’ Kyle asked seeing no entrance or clue into the hidden castle.

’There isn’t any clue on the map also.’ Kyle frowned seeing no highlights, or word of a secret passage or key into the castle.

"Argh! what now?" He sighed in frustration kicking the sand. He couldn’t afford to continue shooting out dark flames, as it wasn’t having any effects whatsoever on the forcefield. And he didn’t have a wide pool of demon energy to exhaust.

Lost in his thoughts, Kyle didn’t notice when xia crouched down to the floor. Her eyes intriguingly staring downwards. Stretching her hand, she scuffled through the sand searching for something.

’Thud.’ A soft tone was made, as her hand came upon something metal with a handle. Pulling the handle it made a thud sound, followed with an eerie creaking noise garning the attention of Kyle and Ron.

"Way.." she said pointing down to the passage leading downwards.

"A hatch, of course!" Kyle slapped his head a bit not thinking about that.

"Thank you mom." He patted her head earning a soft purr from her. He then descended down the steps first, along with xia and Ron.

’It’s so dark.’ Kyle thought activating dark flames for illumination. He was a demon with enhanced eyesights, but still he couldn’t see clearly here as it was strangely too dark.

Navigating through the bottom of this platform, they could finally see some light in front. Making their way to it they reached an entirely different section.

’Where are we.’ Kyle wondered bringing out the map. He could now see some words appearing on top of the castle.

"Sandhill castle." He read out loud. Looking, Kyle was impressed by this architectural building. It comprised of different cut out sections with pillars, arranged in rows holding them. all connected to this building.

’It’s really sturdy.’ Kyle smiled touching the pillars. amazed by how strong they were, even though everything here was made from sand.

’Just who built this place?’ He wondered descending down the steps. In front was like a narrow passage, with several claw like slashes on the floors.

’Which beast lives here?’ The claws didn’t look like normal claws but slashes, with little extra slashes attached.

"Screech!" Kyle’s attention was pulled by a loud screech, piercing through the air. He could tell it wasn’t a desert worm, not feeling the sand sinking. And the screech didn’t contain that much power as a desert worm, but a different beast.

Before his eyes he could see an ant. Not normal and small but large, like the size of a monster truck. It had brown skin with multiple arms and leg. It’s two black bug eyes staring down the group.

’It doesn’t matter. Am still going to kill you." Kyle smiled shooting out a dark flame ball. The creature dodged by twisting it’s body, rapidly running forward with it’s multiple legs.

Shooting out another dark flames ball the creature dodged to his surprise. Leaping up, it attempted to pounce on him with it’s mouth open wide.

’Bam!’ Kyle swiftly moved, punching the creature in the chest sending it flying back.

’It’s not dead?’ Kyle had expected to see the system notification, alerting him of the ant’s demise. But he didn’t which meant the ant wasn’t dead.

Shooting out a jetski of dark flames it engulfed the creature. The dark flames eating away at it’s skin, making it writhe and screech in pain.

The system notification popped up in his view. But he didn’t have time to read the other screen, as the ground suddenly began rumbling.
