I looked him in the eye and genuinely said, as a fellow book lover. "You’re really extraordinary." I smiled. "I’m impressed."

Oh, snap. I lost control of my emotions for a moment and smiled. I promised not to smile at him, but I did.

I peeked at his expression to find him staring at me, frozen like a piece of art. He looked... Handsome.

But then he broke out of his frozen state and said,

"I certainly am impressive."

Tut, that narcissist. But from the looks of it, by the way he suddenly paused, staring in shock after I said my piece, it was as if no one had told him something like that.
