Her eyes were increasingly teary seeing the affection given by her husband, making her even more reluctant to torture her husband for too long. "But, you torture yourself. Why do you always make things difficult for yourself just to win over a woman who still hates you until now?"

"I never torture myself just because I do everything related to you. I actually really like it."

Her eyes focused on the bandaged handsome husband’s index finger. She immediately pulled her husband’s finger and caressed the injured finger and blew on it gently.

"Then what’s the point of this? You’re cooking until you hurt yourself again. You’re really annoying, Matthias."

"I really didn’t mean to. Besides, who would want to hurt themselves!"

"Luckily you treated your own wounds before I scolded you."

The sound of happy laughter swept away the tense atmosphere in the living room, making Victoria feel more comfortable being near her husband. Unconsciously, her smile grew wider as she stared at her husband’s handsome face, still shining even though she had gone through a gloomy day.

"Matthias, you are the only man who is so sensitive to me. I actually want to enjoy your cooking."

"You haven’t had dinner yet?"

"Actually, today my client invited me to have dinner with him while discussing work. But I don’t like the food he ordered."

"But, don’t you like eating fancy food too?"

"Because I like eating your food the most. Although the food out there is much more delicious, I like your food better. Therefore, don’t throw away all the dishes you have made with great effort until you get hurt."

Matthias laughed happily as he got up from the couch. "Okay, then I’ll heat everything up first."

Victoria really did not regret expressing her true feelings to her husband. In fact, after saying it, her heart was very relieved. Especially when tasting her husband’s cooking at this time, her heart was even more blooming. She could feel her husband’s sincerity in cooking all the food on this table. Thanks to enjoying her husband’s cooking, her energy was filled again. Unconsciously, her legs were swinging happily.

"I really like your cooking," said Victoria, flashing her husband a sweet smile.

Matthias also smiled happily looking at his wife who was getting sweeter in his eyes. "Again you eat until you’re all over the place."

"Actually, I’m still curious. You were busy today, but you still took the time to cook dinner for me. You must have been so tired that you fell asleep earlier."

"Actually, I’m not that tired. As long as I still have some energy left, I’ll definitely make the most of it."

On the one hand, Victoria was still thinking about what she had discussed with Amber this morning. If Amber really still hadn’t given up on stealing Matthias from her, should she just give up? Besides, she wouldn’t be able to marry Matthias anyway. Now she only thought of Matthias as a contract husband, business partner, and friend. Her eyes started to tear up imagining what would happen if that bad thing happened. Would Matthias still treat her like this?"

"Victoria, why are you crying? Is my cooking not delicious enough?" Matthias crouched down right next to his wife, holding her hand.

"I actually really like your cooking. I cried because I was touched by your cooking."

"Anyway, from now on, whenever you don’t tell me something, I will definitely cook dinner for you."

"Thank you, Matthias. I’m sorry for making you angry yesterday."

Matthias immediately hugged his wife’s body tightly. "I was never mad at you even though you tried to make me mad."

"Did you just lie to me?"

"No. I said it honestly. I just want you to be honest with me whenever something happens to you."

"Then you must also grant my request."

"What request?"

"If something happens to you too, you have to tell me the truth. I don’t like husbands who keep secrets."

Matthias’ eyes narrowed. "Have I been hiding something from you?"

"Haven’t you been hiding your relationship with Amber all this time?"

"My relationship with Amber is just friends. Nothing more than that, I swear!"

Victoria smiled gracefully, stroking her husband’s head slowly.

Thanks to the whole night he treated his wife like a queen, now their relationship has improved quite a bit, he could feel it. Moreover, at first his wife rarely smiled, this morning before going to work, they were still able to chat casually. He really wanted their relationship to continue like this even though the marriage they did was a contract marriage.

Today, his and his wife’s job is to survey the project site again. He is ready to tidy up his appearance so that his wife will fall in love with him even more.

Matthias went to the project site alone, because Victoria had already told him that she had to have a meeting with the client before going to the project site. Upon arriving at the project site, Matthias paced around the area while waiting for his wife.

Suddenly a woman appeared at the project site, making him immediately assume that the woman was his own wife. He immediately walked quickly to the woman from a distance. However, the longer the woman’s posture did not resemble Victoria. Especially when the woman turned around, Matthias immediately gasped.

"Amber?"

"Did I surprise you?" Amber said with a sly smile.

"What is your purpose in coming to this place?"

"I actually-"

Amber deliberately made a wrong move so that she could press her body against Matthias’s. She hugged Matthias’ body tightly and their faces were very close.
