It had been a long time since Victoria was invited so respectfully by Matthias’s grandfather since before she became Matthias’ wife. Usually when Leticia was working, Matthias’s grandfather freely invited her to lunch at his luxurious residence. They had lunch together in the yard. Because Matthias’s grandfather really liked to breathe fresh air that could calm his mind.

Victoria was very happy every time she spent time with Matthias’s grandfather. Although she had not known what his grandson looked like before, now she wanted to tell him this important thing. She actually wanted to test his reaction to knowing that she married Matthias.

"Grandpa, I miss you so much."

"I miss you too, Victoria. That’s why I wanted to take you to lunch."

"Where have you been all this time? Why didn’t you give me any news?"

The grandfather just laughed softly. "Because I’m worried that your family will make things even more difficult for you because you often come to see me. There are many eyes and ears watching us."

Victoria nodded. "It turns out my mindset is the same as yours. I should be your granddaughter instead."

"Speaking of grandchildren, my grandson has returned to this city. I actually wanted to introduce you to him. He is a very nice man."

"Grandpa, actually I already married her."

The grandfather could only clear his throat. His act had failed now. However, on the one hand, he was very happy because finally his grandson loved his wife again like before.

"Do you know who my grandson is?"

"Didn’t you always talk about your grandson named Matthias? He is indeed very good. Actually, I have been married to him for two years. But because of the accident I had, our relationship immediately ended in failure."

"Wait a minute! Has your memory returned?"

"No. But the reason I married Matthias was because he suddenly gave me a marriage certificate. Actually, at first I hated him, but the longer it went on, the less I could hate him. Moreover, his treatment of me lately has been very sweet."

"Then, are you willing to be his wife forever?"

She shook her head weakly. "After thinking about it, it seems like I’m still not worthy of being his wife even though I’m starting to love him. Our parents don’t approve of our relationship and he has a girlfriend who’s more perfect than me."

The grandfather held Victoria’s hand. "Victoria, do you know the reason why I never matchmake my grandson with anyone?"

"Is it because you don’t trust anyone easily, like Matthias?"

"Yes, that’s one of the reasons. I really like Matthias’ personality because he’s very similar to me. That’s why all this time, his firm attitude towards any woman has made me like him even more."

"But why did Matthias trust me so easily?"

"Because from the start he already had a strong instinct that you were the only woman who truly loved him. You wanted to be his lover not because you wanted his wealth." The grandfather stroked Victoria’s head. "Just like me. Why did I easily trust you when your entire family always blackmailed my family? Because you’re different, Victoria."

Victoria pouted her lips as she stared at her nails. "But, Matthias’ mother hates me so much and even always wants to kick me out, insinuating that I’m a slut. It’s different when she meets Amber, she’s like her own daughter-in-law."

"Now my advice is that you should listen to your own heart. Do you really love my grandson or not? Don’t care about what other people say, including mine. If I didn’t talk about my grandson’s goodness, would you still love him?"

Her right hand touched her chest to feel her heartbeat pounding as she imagined herself being treated sweetly by Matthias. Remembering all those beautiful moments, she felt increasingly unable to say that the marriage she was currently undergoing was a forced marriage.

"Okay, I won’t force you to love my grandson. What’s certain is that I’m very hungry right now."

Victoria laughed softly as she fed Matthias’s grandfather. "Thank you for accepting me, Grandpa."

"If you ever need someone to talk to, you can talk to me too. Don’t worry, I’m good at keeping secrets even though I’m old."

Night had come, Victoria went home alone because her mood was still bad even though she had confided in her grandfather Matthias. Actually, she also wanted to ask Matthias about this. What caused Matthias to fall in love with her easily while he was very reluctant to other women, except Amber. In her mind now, she assumed that Matthias loved her and Amber at the same time. However, it was impossible for Matthias to want both women to be his wives at once. Now she just had to wait for Matthias to decide who was worthy of being his wife. If Amber was worthy of being his wife, then she was ready to leave Matthias and return to Asher.

Matthias had also arrived home early. He had been waiting for his wife in the living room until he fell asleep on the sofa.

Seeing her husband start to overdo it again, Victoria took the initiative to open her blazer and then cover her husband’s body. Her right hand stroked her husband’s soft cheek with a sad look.

"You’re making me feel guilty again! Did you do it on purpose so that I wouldn’t be cold to you anymore?"

As she turned around, suddenly her hand was held making her eyes round. Her body was also finally caught in the embrace of her husband’s love so that her body felt like she wanted to be lazy with her husband.

"Where have you been? Why did you come home now? You didn’t tell me whether you had dinner or not."

Victoria blinked nervously. "I just finished a meeting with a client. Of course I already had dinner."

"Really? Then I’ll throw away my cooking."

"Wait a minute! You cooked dinner for me too?"

"Of course because I was wondering whether you had dinner or not. I didn’t want you to go hungry."

"Are you stupid? Why are you still acting this way even though I hate you so much right now! Can you not make me feel guilty about you all the time?!"
