Transmigration: Lady Chi Woos The Ice cold Professor Jun -
Chapter 64: Jade for everyone.
Chapter 64: Jade for everyone.
The maid that showed up to assist her was a young woman. She was fairly attractive and was probably in her twenties at least. Chi Lian was curious as to why a woman as young and attractive as her was working as a maid.
"T4, do thorough background checks on all these maids and send the information to my phone "
"Immediately my host."
She smiled at the maid and said, "Help me carry these things to the living room."
"Yes young miss."
"Not miss, call me Lady."
"Yes my lady."
"What’s your name?" she asked the young woman.
"I am Qi Qing my lady."
"Qi Qing, are you educated."
"I have a degree in fashion and design my lady."
"Hmm..., why are you working here as a maid?" A woman who had a degree would simply not resign herself to working as a maid without a good reason.
"I have a sick mother, after graduating I tried to find a job in every fashion company and failed. With time going by while I remained unemployed, I became desperate, so when I heard that the Heavenly security company was looking to hire exclusive maids for a high end home I applied. The pay is good, food and accommodation are provided and I can take care of my mother while saving some money."
"Qi Qing, I want you write me an essay on your opinion of all the outfits in my closet and the fashion of the celebrities at phoenix entertainment and present it to me within this week."
"Huh." Qi Qing was puzzled. "Why my lady?"
"If your background check returns with no red flags, I may have more use of you. Don’t worry the more work I give you, the higher I will pay."
With that assurance, Qi Qing turned her attention to Chi Lian’s bed which looked like a mini garden and helped her carry the things downstairs.
"Chi-Chi, what are all these things on the table?" her mother asked. For around ten minutes, Qi Qing and Chi Lian’s bodyguard had carried one box of items after another downstairs.
"These are the gifts I brought home. And some special food stuffs I procured very expensively."
As they started unboxing, the butler opened the door and her brothers came through. The Jun family followed closely behind them.
"In-laws, you are here." Mama Chi Walked past her sons as if they were invisible and went to welcome the Jun family.
The two brothers shook their heads in bewilderment and hugged their sister.
"You are finally back." Chi Wei said.
"My turn," Chi Wei pulled her away and hugged her. Then he spun her around twice. Mei-Mei who was still in her arms laughed loudly.
"Hey chipmunk," Chi Wei pinched her cheek. "Uncle brought you a lollipop."
Muyang walked up to the siblings and took his daughter out of Chi Lian’s arms.
"You just go around hugging men anyhow." He said unhappily.
"They are my brothers." She looked unbelievingly at the ridiculous man. His jealousy knew no bounds. If possible, he would even be jealous of the wind brushing past her hair.
"Hmph." He snorted and sat down.
The Chi parents were still welcoming the Jun family elders happily.
"We are here to see Chi-Chi and Mei-Mei; we were bored at home and missing them so much." He Weili told them.
Old madam Jun took a sit between her husband and grandma Meng.
"Who is this?" she asked mama Chi.
"This is grandma Meng; she is Chi-Chi’s visitor."
Grandma Meng took this opportunity to introduce herself, "I am Meng Furui, and Wuxi over there is my grandson. Chi-Chi rescued us and sent us here."
"Rescued you from what?" He Weili asked curiously.
Grandma Meng went ahead to narrate her story briefly. The audience was shocked.
"Chi-Chi is this why you went to D city?" her father asked.
’Yes, I have been looking for doctor Tang Siming for a while because I want him to treat your leg dad. I received information on his where abouts but since I was not confident about it, I went to check it out personally. "
"Did you find my son and daughter-in-law?" grandma Meng asked.
"Yes we did. They spent the night in the hospital but my men are bringing them here right now." Jun Muyang informed her.
The old woman broke down in tears. Wuxi came to comfort his crying grandmother.
"Wuxi, did you hear that? Your parents are coming home. Are you happy?" grandma Meng asked her grandson.
"Yes." Wuxi nodded.
"The heavens do not abandon good people." Old madam comforted grandma Meng.
"Okay, no more crying. This is good news and I brought gifts." Chi Lian brought their attention back to the table.
"Indeed, Chi-Chi, what are all these plants and flowers?" her mother asked.
"Your gifts,"
She opened one box and gave her father a ginseng.
"Nobody move." Old man Jun ordered.
"Here we go again." Old madam rolled her eyes. What could possibly happen to the ginseng if they moved?
"It’s about three hundred years old, where did you find it?" grandma Meng was studying the ginseng over papa Chi’s shoulder like old master Jun.
"How do you know that?" the old master asked.
"I am a practitioner of traditional Chinese medicine. There are very few herbs on this earth that I do not recognize. Where do you think my son got his skills?" she bragged.
"Wow," the audience was impressed. It was not every day that they met an expert. Old master liked such people the most. They were the bread and butter of the empire. Their research and accomplishments gave the empire and edge over other empires.
"Next gifts." She announced.
She presented the jade jewelry set she had commissioned for her mother. Mama Chi cried after she received it.
She gave her brothers jade rings of different designs and they put them on immediately.
Mama Jun and the old madam received a jade earrings.
"Didn’t you give us gifts already?"
"I was planning to give you these earlier but it slipped my mind."
"Thank you." They were happy with their gifts. Chi-Chi was really a thoughtful girl.
Thankfully, she had requested for extra jewelry so grandma Meng received a set of jade bracelets and Wuxi got a jade pendant.
Mei-Mei got more gifts than anyone. She had a necklace, pendant, hair pins, bracelets and a tiara. Even Blackguard got a leash with a jade stone.
"You really spent so much money." Mama Chi said.
"Mother, I told you, I won all the jade stones with my talent. This jewelry was carved from my stones. I didn’t spend a coin."
"What about the rest of the boxes?" Mama Chi asked.
She unveiled them and brought out a few expensive orchids.
"Oh my God." He Weili and old madam’s eyes popped wide open. This was simply mid blowing.
