Chapter 615: A meeting of geniuses.
The mighty little peep star: [A sad parting between our imperial Princess the bride Long Rize and her parents, the emperor and empress.
After all was said and done, she cried all the way to the Chi family’s home. Will she cry a river at tomorrow’s wedding as well? ]
There was a picture of Chi Rui wiping away tears from Rize’s eyes just outside the gate leading to the entrance of the Chi’s House attached.
"Have you seen this?" Chi Lian showed Muyang the post. "It says that Rize cried all the way from the wedding hall to the house. She must be really sad, I thought she was crying because everyone expected her to."
"You cried as well." Muyang reminded her.
"What are you talking about? She looked away from him and started taking off her dress, slowly. "Is it just me, or are you exhausted as well?"
"You have run around a lot helping Rize and your brother to prepare for this wedding so it’s not surprising that you are exhausted." He assisted her by carrying her to the shower and placing her in the warm bath water which Qi Qing had already prepared.
"And there is the white wedding tomorrow, I not sure that we all will not doze off during the ceremony. I used to see two or three day weddings in pictures and it would look lavish and beautiful. Now that I am part of a two day wedding my opinion has changed, it sucks because it’s tiresome." How did people engage in such festivity madness without falling apart. And the bride and groom, how did they not go crazy with exhaustion? It had to be worse on them than the attendees. She stopped airing her complaints because he slid into the bathtub, sat opposite of her and started massaging her right foot. She leaned her head back and moaned when he pressed the right spot.
He smiled and got a hold of another foot, giving it the same treatment as the left one. He massaged it carefully, driving the tension out of her feet which had been in heels all day.
"Come here." he said after putting her left foot down.
She opened her eyes, smiled and slid over to his side where he proceeded to put his hands on her and started massaging her shoulders.
"If I had known that you were this skilled hubby, I would put your hands to good use every night."
Muyang chuckled, he wondered if she thought through her words in her mind before saying those words out loud. To him, what she said sounded quite dirty.
"Are you sure you want to put my hands to good use?" he asked.
Her head was lazily bent over, and her eyes were closed. When he asked that question in a sultry voice, her moved quickly went up. ’I know that voice.’ she thought.
She leaned her head against his chest and said coquettishly, "Hubby, can we not do anything vigorous tonight. I really don’t have the energy."
"What are you talking about, I did not suggest anything. Your dirty mind must be playing tricks on you." he replied with a chuckle. He was not a beast, okay, he thought, maybe he sometimes was, but he could control his desires. His wife was in no shape or form to fulfil her marital duties tonight.
"I would say something funny but I am too exhausted to think." she closed her eyes and sighed.
Her eyes were sore and heavy and all she wanted to do was sleep for one whole day peacefully.
Somehow, she dozed off where she was, the warm water was so comfortable and soothing. That, combined with her exhaustion and Muyang’s massage worked miracles on her.
When he realized that she was sleeping off, he carried her out of the water as gently as he could. The water splashed a bit, and landed on the bathroom rug.
She shivered, as a result of the sudden onslaught of cold air against her skin and she mumbled.
"Shhh!" Muyang said softly. He grabbed a pink towel from a rack and wiped the water from her body gently. She had not washed her hair, at least he would not have to wake her to dry it.
Slowly, he placed her in the bed and laid her down to sleep.
Muyang then dried himself off as well, but instead of joining her in bed, he dressed up and left the bedroom.
He went to his office and looked around, and then he touched the wall next to the large rack of books and it opened up.
It revealed a secret room, one that Chi Lian knew existed but had never attempted to invade because it was his sanctuary just as the basement in this house was hers.
He closed the door gently and said. "Lights on."
The room suddenly lit up with fluorescent lights that were in four specific corners. The room had only one table, and one computer. Other than that, there was nothing special in it, it was very ordinary.
Muyang switched on the computer and then he turned on three hologram devices which were similar to the one the prime minister used on the yacht.
On each hologram, one man appeared, each of them was sitting in front of a lap top or a monitor screen.
Of the three men, one resembled a punk and he had spiked blue hair, the other wore glasses and his hair was cut in the shape of a bowl. He looked like a nerd. The third was none other than Mujin, the empire’s mad genius.
"Ooh, Jun Muyang, look at you. Long time no see." Mujin said in a voice that was meant to tease.
"Get to work Mujin." he replied. "I have no more than an hour before my wife begins looking or me."
"Ho, are you trying Co Ching’s face in the fact that you have a wife and he doesn’t."
"Keep me out of this Mujin." the nerd looking man replied. He was Co Ching.
"We are losing daylight people stop bickering like a bunch of jealous co-wives." the punk said.
"It’s already night you idiot, daylight is long gone." Mujin answered.
"And we are not co-wives." Muyang added. "Down to the business which brings us all together, it has been discovered that QB bank deposits all of it’s information on one central computer that sits in Wun electronics."
"It’s ridiculous." Mujin cackled. "A computer that has some of the most dangerous information in our empire about many powerful people and their slush funds is sitting in an HR office unmonitored."
This information was in Bai Bao’s grandmother’s books, shared by the old drunk man who talked a lot. Apparently, he overheard it because he fell asleep under a bridge once where a body was coincidentally thrown over. The men who threw the body over the bridge talked about the computer and the old man shared this information with the old lady because she gave him free food and drinks daily.
Someone had suggested that prosecutors raid Wun electronics on a fake warrant but it was too suspicious. The company was medium sized, with a good reputation and clean, too clean in fact. To Muyang, having worked so hard to remain under the radar despite having such a charming and proud CEO in itself was suspicious.
"We all have our assignments, we are to go after different information. We will make it no secret that we are in the system because we want them to know, let’s go." Muyang told the rest.
This was only the beginning, Muyang thought, soon, it would be too hot for anyone involved in the rebellion plot to live in the empire.
