Chapter 590: I won’t give you a chance

Chapter 590: I won’t give you a chance

Giving them trouble was not a problem, after all they owned a number of hotels and all Scarlet and her men had to do was create a lot of trouble for them. She could think of so many ways to do that.

"Look for_, no, I think we can anonymously get rats and dump them in their most astounding hotels. A rat plague is sure to make things difficult for them for a while." she suggested.

"Great start." T4 said, "I will mess with the elevators and electricals. But, I think that will still not be enough they need to go into crisis mode. If only those stupid burner phones could point us to someone that will explain what the company business is."

"I keep telling you all that the green gang is the company but nobody is buying it. Muyang said the gang is run like a company, it has branches and divisions. It has a long history and all attempts to uproot it have failed. It must be the one, that’s the only plausible explanation."

"And I keep reminding you that there is no evidence to support this theory." T4 said, "The system does not make judgments basing on hunches and suspicions."

She longed to groan but looked at the crowd instead, it seemed like nobody would be moving anytime soon, as they were all too vested in watching the Rai’s throw out all that had been ruined by the fire.

"What do you plan to do host? Will you warn the Rai’s about the impending threat to their lives or do you plan to ignore it?"

"How can I ignore it? I intend to be a thorn in the side of the Yan’s, a thorn which will stab them so sharply in their hearts that they bleed and never recover. Since they have made the first move, the emperor should make the next one. He should dethrone the crown princess now, by doing this, the Yan’s have revealed one of their hands. It’s a way of saying ’we know’, and the emperor should reply accordingly. Getting rid of the crown princess solves one problem for him."

The patriarch of the Rai family, assisted by two of his grandsons was led to an ambulance which was waiting, parked beside a fire truck. While he was being looked at by two doctors, Yan Moon approached him with a sad face and he sighed.

Chi Lian moved closer, she wanted to hear whatever was about to be said clearly. It was obvious by the sly look on Yan Moon’s face that he was plotting something.

"Patriarch Rai, it’s a pity that something like this has happened to your family." Yan Moon said.

"Ha!, a weasel is attempting to comfort a chicken, he wants to go in for a bigger bite ." Chi Lian thought. "Whatever it is you are thinking, I will not let it happen."

Yan Moon continued, "Which is why, I have been racking my mind and trying to think of a way to help you. We Yan’s have a very large empty mansion beside our main house so I was thinking that you and your family would move in as your house is being repaired. Our servants are on the way to help you pack up, I will not give you a chance to refuse us. You must think of the children especially right now. "

"Ho!, so he wants to lure them closer so that they can deal the final blow, after all now that everyone knows it was arson, even if they are murdered it will appear as if the enemy was so determined and they followed them. As a matter of fact, the Yan’s themselves might be injured to make it appear as if they were victims too." T4 shared his personal thoughts with Chi Lian.

"I won’t let that happen." she said. Then, she quickly made her way to the ambulance, pushed, Yan Moon aside and took the Yan patriarch’s hand.

"Aiya, patriarch Yan, what a disaster, how could something like this happen?" she expressed herself loudly, drawing the attention of many people.

"Whoever did this must have bad intentions for you and your family, they might even be watching you right now. If this is really arson, you should be very vigilant, extremely vigilant," she shook her head dramatically and emphasized. "I mean, why would someone attempt to harm a good family like yours? Your children and grand children are well behaved, cultured and talented, I think someone is jealous of your family for achieving big things."

"Miss_" Yan Moon attempted to squeeze Chi Lian out and continue what he was saying but she would not budge.

"Patriarch Rai, as one of grandpa Jun’s oldest friends it will not sit right with us Jun’s if you stay with anybody else but us for a few days." They had at least ten empty bedrooms at home, if she requested her mother and her mother-in-law to help as well, then they could take in all the Rai’s.

"We couldn’t_" Patriarch Rai was on his way to refuse her offer, shaking his head.

"No, you cannot refuse us, if you refuse our kindness grandpa will be furious at me for not doing a good job convincing you. See, he is on the phone right now." She showed him her phone, having dialed grandpa Jun earlier so that he could listen in on everything.

He knew about the relationship between the Rai’s, the royal family and the Yan’s.

"Talk to him." she practically shoved the phone into his hands. Then, she turned around and pushed Yan Moon aside, saying, "We should give him some privacy, they have much to talk about."

Having never encountered a shameless person like Chi Lian, Yan Moon was flabbergasted and lost for words. Not only did she budge into a personal conversation but she pushed him aside, intervened when he tried to talk and treated him like a disposable bug.

"You are quite rude." he told her.

"Oh no, sorry, did I offend you?" she batted her eyelashes and smiled. "I didn’t mean to, I simply wanted to pass on my grandfather’s message. But, old mister, who do you suppose is behind the arson?"

Yan Moon felt as if he was choking on saliva and he pinched his neck, clenching his hands and holding back his rage. "Old mister?"

"Mmm," she nodded, "You are a middle aged man with a sagging neck, what else should I call you?"

"Are you insulting me?" he glared at her.

"Why would I insult a stranger?" she opened her eyes wide, playing it off as if she was very innocent. "Old mister, do you know me?" she looked convincingly confused as she mumbled, "But I don’t know you."

"No," he said quickly.

"Oh, I should introduce myself," she looked around slowly and said loudly when she noticed Yan Daya standing within listening distance. "I am Chi Lian, Jun Muyang’s only beloved wife."

Yan Moon snickered and he said, "Only,"

"Yes, there are so many rumors circulating about our relationship online that I have to insert the word only into that introduction when I meet strangers. Who are you, old mister? I saw you talking to the Rai patriarch earlier, did he say anything about the arson? Say, do you think the arsonist is here with us? You know, on television shows they always say that arsonists tend to return to the scene of the crime. If I were one of the police officers I would take all of us here in for questioning."

Maybe she had irritated him enough, or he simply thought that if he stayed around her any longer he would end up beating her up, Yan Moon ignored Chi Lian and walked away.

She watched him with a hidden smirk on her face, proud of herself for putting a temporary stop to his evil plan.
