Chapter 579: Impromptu housewarming.
"Let me guess," she said with a small smile on her face, "You want another opportunity to ransack that night club."
"Yes." Squirrel confirmed her suspicions immediately. "The club is central to all their operations which is why it’s highly protected. They must be protecting something else other than simple privacy of their clients. You promised the young master that you would not go inside but it’s not the same for us. We have no obligations towards him."
She pursed her lips and tapped the middle finger of her right hand on the table rather quickly as she thought. With the invisible suits sure, they could do it. But some floors in the club had superior security systems, the best which money could buy. With T4’s help the system could be hacked, allowing her men entry but a detection of a breach would alert the enemy. These people were slippery like snakes, if one thing was compromised, everything would be dumped and they would start anew.
’No," she shook her head, "Not yet, I will discuss it with my husband first. Remember that we are not the only ones working on this problem, there are others involved. If we move carelessly we could endanger the lives of others. I will tell you how we move forward concerning the new zombie drug." Saving lives was important but maintaining their own lives was of importance too. If anyone could successfully pull off a breach into sinner, it was her. It was also the territory of the police and she was not too eager to jump in yet. "Oh," she added as a last minute thought, "The best way to use those celebrities is to access all their communication devices, what is Wu Liang up to lately?"
Old tiger moved his eyes from side to side, figuring out the latest movements of the person in question. "Isn’t he shooting a new movie, terminator?" he asked.
"Yes, I saw that, the peep star posted something about him being injured when they were shooting a scene." Spider added. "I remember thinking that it was ridiculous how he could not maneuver such a simple combat move."
Ignoring the obvious disdain Spider had for actors, she asked them, "What do you guys think about Wu Liang throwing a party? No, make it us throwing the party for him, we can invite as many of those celebrities as possible. Make it a red carpet event and promote it so extravagantly that no celebrity would want to miss. People like this always have two phones, personal ones which they hide from everyone and the ones their managers have access to. We need access to their personal phones, the ones with their dirty little secrets."
Squirrel nodded enthusiastically, "A party on a yacht," he added, "That can buy us enough time to do what we need."
"I will start looking into yachts immediately." old tiger said.
"Book one from kite yacht charters, they have some of the biggest and the best in the empire." she told him.
"What should I do?" Spider asked her.
"Go and find my brother, discuss only the yacht party with him personally, it should be pushed as a gift from the company to Wu Liang for his achievements so far. Tell him not to worry about finds because they will come from me but in company name." She did not want to be involved personally as Chi Lian.
"The party will need decorations." Squirrel said, "Should I take care of that too?"
"Yes." she gave him the go ahead.
As she went back upstairs, she did not forget to send a message to the emperor informing him that someone was already keeping an eye on the new seeds.
She rejoined everyone else in the house, where they were enjoying some drinks, conversation and good food. The television in the living room was playing loud music and Mei-Mei was dancing with four other children. Two were Lili’s children, one was Yifei’s daughter and the other was Fu Jui. Little monk was sitting on his uncle Ringo’s shoulders and shaking his head.
The environment had all the makings of a party, whether it was a children’s party or simple party was yet to be known. She approached her friends that were sitting outside in a group around the swimming pool.
"Hey guys," she said, as she slid onto an empty pool chair. "Why didn’t anyone tell me that we having so much fun?"
President Qin pointed to the pool and said, "She is the one that made it fun." The she was Xue Lili who was swimming like a fish in the pool. "We were sitting around bored but she turned up the music and suggested we relax by the pool and make this a real housewarming. She even came carrying gifts which puts the rest of us to shame."
"Sorry CEO, I am so ashamed." Rize turned her head over to look at them lazily and she sipped a cocktail with no single trace of shame on her face.
Chi Lian laughed, and so did the other women. "That is not a look of shame but enjoyment your highness." Yifei said.
"And this is not a housewarming because her husband is not here." Rize shrugged and shook her head moving along to the music. "I plan on enjoying myself as much as I can because planning a wedding is so stressful. One is enough to drive someone mad but try two at the same time."
Chi Lian and the others gave Rize a look of disbelief, what was so stressing about planning her weddings exactly? Her face was stress free, her nails perfectly manicured, her hair well done. She looked exactly as she always did.
"You have at least four wedding planners and a queen dowager who is deciding everything for you. What exactly is stressing you?" Lili who had swam close enough to hear Rize complaining asked. "She is really giving rich pampered princess energy." She added.
"Hello," Rize lowered the sun glasses covering her eyes and she said, "I am a rich pampered princess."
"Aiya, as if we can ever forget that fact." Lili said sarcastically.
"She is sour because she will not be your maid of honor, ignore her." Chi Lian told Rize. "But who is going to be your maid of honor? We are the only female friends you have, before we came along you were a loner."
Rize raised herself and sat upright, then she hissed at Chi Lian and took off her sun glasses to yell, "I was not a loner!!"
"No, you are a princess, we are sure you had dozens of friends." Qin Meng amended Chi Lian’s words with a giggle.
Rize gently straightened her dress and laid back down pretending to be the prim and proper princess. "I have other princess friends." she lied. "My maid of honor is my aunt’s daughter, my cousin Shi Yaiwen, she will be returning to the country this weekend on Sunday to be exact since my wedding is next week."
"Is she nice?" Lili asked a question no one expected. How was the niceness of Rize’s cousin related to the conversation at hand.
"Why?" Yifei did not hesitate to ask.
"Because, a bad bridesmaid can ruin the bride’s day. We should know if she is nice so that we decide how to protect you on the day of your wedding. I know a woman wedding was sabotaged by a jealous cousin that was her bridesmaid. Our Rize was not exactly the most likeable person in the past so if said cousin is not nice and you once offended her, the best time to get back at you and humiliate you will be your wedding." Rize replied and she sipped a cocktail as if she had not dumped something to make Rize worry about.
"You," Chi Lian poked Lili in the head.
"Why would you say that?" Qin Meng asked Lili, "You are going to stress the bride to be."
"I don’t know her at all." Rize shrugged and told them. "My cousin grew up abroad all her life, I have never even met her."
"What? You can’t have a stranger as a bridesmaid, that’s worse." Yifei blurted.
Watching her friends, Chi Lian shook her head because this conversation would go down a rabbit hole. If Rize was not stressed before, she would be when she left.
