Chapter 519: Oh the celebrations!!

The royal banquet ended and the families returned to their homes. Some people went back with smiles and stories to tell, other’s not so much. Like the crown princess, as soon as she returned to her bedroom, she screamed, tore the robe on top of her dress off her body and hurled it on the floor. In addition to that, she stomped on it as if it was something she abhorred with all of her heart.

"Get me a scissor. she ordered her maids.

These maids knew better than to question the crown princess who had the nasty temper of an injured lion. One of the maids brought the scissors and the crown princess cut up the robe while screaming, "I hate that bitch, I hate her so much. How dare she make a fool of me? I am the crown princess!!! I will be respected."

"Crown princess, please calm down." one of the maids approached her and the unlucky maid received a slap for her efforts.

"Shut up," she yelled, "You stupid idiot, you cannot get anything right. Why did some of them commoners wear better looking gowns and crown than mine? Why didn’t you see this and tell me earlier?"

The maid who received the slap kept quiet and the other one responded, "We didn’t know, we apologize crown princess. Next time.."

"Next time!!" the crown princess shouted like a shrew and slapped that maid too. "Get out." she ordered.

The two maids hurried to leave the room, they run so fast without looking back as if they were escaping for their lives. The crown princess was unstable when such moods struck, it was better to hide until she cooled down. Some of the other palace maids saw the crown princess’s maids and they shook their heads.

"Their they go again."

"I am guessing they have been beaten up again."

"Working for her must be so terrible, I really don’t know why they don’t just quit."

"To think that she acting this way on liberation day, such a happy day."

They continued on their way, gossiping about the crown princess and her nasty temper.

When T4 showed Chi Lian the footage at home, she laughed. "T4, I have been a bit lazy as the peep star lately. I should do something with this footage, don’t you think so?"

"I am solely behind you host." T4 had always been eager to sink his little sharp claws into the royal family. He always said that they are worth many points.

The mighty peep star: [ Oh the day of celebrations, this peep star has been like a shutter bug today, seeking for all the juicy, the naughty and the scandalous.

Let’s begin from these pictures of the crown princess cutting up her robes with a pair of scissors after the ceremony. Word on the street is that a certain someone angered her. Another rumor has it that she assaulted her maids, the poor girls were seen fleeing her quarters like terrified damsels.

Not so scandalous but funny, the emperor was overheard complaining about the fact that certain couples looked quite intimate during his ceremony. One half of one couple was his very own daughter the princess.

Also funny, mayor Fu somehow managed to doze off and drool during the performance of the Shu brothers. Did this mean it was boring or melodious? Should more of us download the tune and use it as a lullaby?

Equally scandalous is the shameful fact that actress Chang Ri was thrown out of director Miles hotel room wearing a skimpy nightdress last night. Why she was there, I have no idea. But apparently she is neither the first nor the last actress to try and fail at this scheme. Just leave the man alone already!!!

Congratulations are in order for one of the young masters of the Hong family who happens to be expecting a baby with disgraced former musician Du Moxi.

Sad news for the literary world, writer, professor, poet and calligraphy master Mo Yue was checked into the people’s memorial hospital today after suffering a heart attack. We pray for his quick recovery.]

As always, for all the gossip, the peep star included pictures that proved her words.

"Oh good heavens," the old madam gasped, "Husband, have you seen this?" she showed him her phone. "Mo Yue had a heart attack, this is sad."

"Who is he?" Chi Lian asked.

"The third best literary master we have in the empire," the old madam answered. "His works have been studied in schools and his calligraphy is highly sought after. He is also an English literature professor at Crown university. Even if they work in different departments maybe he and Muyang have crossed paths."

Muyang was not around to explain if he knew that professor or not, he was sitting in Juan tea shop with Wenzhe, analyzing a few documents.

Chi Lian was on the floor with the children, they were coloring or trying to color in picture books. Little monk was trying, Mei-Mei was basically doodling or breaking the crayons.

"He sounds like an important man." she commented.

The old master shook his head, appearing to be saddened by this news. "It will be a waste to see someone like him go. Should we pass by the hospital tomorrow and check on him?" he asked his wife.

"I think we should wait and see." she told him. "I don’t think the family will be allowing guests to visit him this soon."

"You are right." he sighed and went back to watching the television, the evening news.

"Minister Lim to withdraw his education reform bill." a female news anchor read.

"That’s weird," the old master commented, "He was determined to see this bill pass, it was his way of making what he considered to be meaningful change before his term was up. I don’t think he has a chance at reelection as minister. The emperor has not been too pleased with him this year." He looked around and realized that no one was paying attention to his political talk so he went back to watching the news on his own.

His wife was teaching Rose Chinese and his daughter-n-law was teaching the children to draw. Muchen and Cherry had paid a visit to Cherry’s home.

Exactly thirty five minutes later, Chi Lian’s guests arrived, the Smiths. They had arrived in the empire yesterday and Ian, their son was showing them around. Since Chi Lian had promised to host them while they were here, she spoke to the old madam who agreed to let them sleep over for as long as they wanted. They were important business people after all, you never know which connections will be useful in future.

Chi Lian was the first to welcome them, she was pulled in for a big hug by Mrs. Smith and then her hands went straight for Mei-Mei. "Oh, pretty baby," she cooed, "So, so beautiful."

"I am going to apologize in advance." Ian whispered to Chi Lian.

"Why?" she asked him.

"You might lose custody of your daughter for a while for as long as she is here. On the way, she said she plans to take her shopping and buy her every beautiful dress in the Eastern hemisphere. She also said they would get manicures, go for ballet classes and sign up for baby competitions. I am afraid that she might request for the position of god mother by the time this trip ends. Like I said, I am apologizing in advance."

"Why does your mother want to hijack my daughter?" Chi Lian was stunned, "Don’t you have female cousins for your mother to dote on?"

"I do, but she hates them." Ian Deadpanned.

"Oh" Chi Lian replied. She did not like her own nieces and came all this way to dote on a strangers child. It was kind of disturbing.

"Howdy, everyone, Ni Hao." Mrs. Smith smiled at the elderly Jun couple.
