Chapter 286: Brothers analyzing

On this same day, in a high rise building somewhere in the business center of the capital, Muyang, his brothers and some of his most trusted men were sitting around a conference table in a meeting.

At the front of the room they were sitting in, a man wearing khaki green pants and a white shirt was addressing the room.

"This is the breakdown of all the Chu family’s enterprises dating as far back as we could trace. As you can see, they started out in the wines and spirits business and from there they expanded into teas and real estate.

They have grown their business portfolio by investing in luxury resorts out of the country on islands and less powerful empires and kingdoms. They never start a venture on their own however they swoop in and provide funds when the resort or hotel is facing problems and then they grab fifty to sixty percent of the shares. "

"That’s convenient." Ringo said grumpily.

"Indeed," the young man addressing the room said, "From what we have been able to discover so far, the problems faced by these resorts are manmade. The Chu’s do it deliberately so that they can swoop in like saviors. Of course, once they gain a significant part of ownership in these hotels and resorts, they set up casinos to rake in quick profits and launder their illegal money."

"So the bad guys are actually worse guys." Triplet three said and he chuckled silly at his own joke.

"That’s not funny." Triplet two said with a frown.

"Idiot." Triplet one said while shaking his head.

Muyang glared at the triplets and they kept quiet. "Go on." He told the presenter.

The presenter coughed twice, clearing his throat and then he pressed a small remote in his hands and the image on the screen changed.

"We have been looking into this picture and have identified these people as Chu Yangmin the current patriarch of the Chu family, his bastard secret son Chu Fengzhou, Doctor Li Mo, and Ye Yan."

Each individual was circled as their name was mentioned.

"Doctor Li Mo is still alive; he was the former director of the Central hospital. It’s a government owned hospital here in the capital. He retired ten years ago and was awarded an apartment in the emperor’s courts for his dedication to the empire.

Madam Ye Yan here used to be a teacher at a private school before she became the secretary of the president of the Aoi organization. There is not much information about her private life except for the fact that she was once married and got divorced. She did have a son who had a heart disease but received surgery abroad.

She lives alone and has no friends or other family to speak of. The only people she interacts with are members of the organization like her."

"Where does she live?" Ringo asked.

"She has a villa in Minwan cottages. We will be coming up with a surveillance plan for her house of course. We have already purchased a villa in the area which is three houses away from hers. We are hoping to infiltrate her house and find out more about her and anything she could be hiding."

Muyang nodded, reached his hand out for a disposable cup and took a sip of some tea. He was not the only one with tea, juice and some kind of refreshment.

Everyone had a disposable cup or take away bag of something from Juan tea shop. If there was a reward for supporting one’s woman, Muyang deserved it one hundred percent.

"Have you found out how they all tie in with the Aoi organization?" Ringo asked.

The presenter nodded his head, "From what we have figured out so far, the Chu family had financial crisis years ago and lost their wine factories to a private money lender. Naturally, they should have collapsed with this since at the time wine was their major source of income however two months later they were thriving like a new born tree. It’s obvious that money came in from somewhere, we just don’t know where.

However around that time is when this picture was taken, so we are operating under the assumption that the Aoi organization injected funds into the Chu’s."

Ringo stood up, walked to the screen and looked at the picture silently in contemplation.

"What are you thinking brother?" Muyang asked. If Ringo was concentrating on the picture then he must have figured something out or he had doubts to rise.

"What do you see?" triplet two joined Ringo in front of the screen and asked.

Ringo turned around and looked at his brothers. Then he asked, "Doesn’t any of you see it?"

"See what?" triplet one asked.

Muyang was drumming his fingers against the table while looking at the picture deeply.

"Do you see it young brother?" Ringo asked him.

Muyang was the analyst, the cleverest of them all; he was the one who could see further beyond than them all.

Muyang replied, "A failed business man, a doctor and a woman whose child had a sick heart met. The business man became richer, the doctor became benevolent, hailed as the kindest surgeon and the woman’s child received an new heart. Key points to note here are the involvement of money and organs. Add the influence of an organization where the poor go to disappear without anyone being the wiser."

The triplets looked at each other and then at Muyang.

"Trafficking?" triplet one stated as a question.

"Surely not, that’s crazy." Triplet two said.

Ringo shook his finger and said, "Not just trafficking, organ tracking, it’s the only thing that makes sense. Back then, the Chu’s had all sorts of illegal migrant workers, orphans and old people working on their fruit plantations where they grew grapes, oranges and other fruits which they used in their winery.

Nobody would notice if a migrant worker or an old person or child without any living relatives went missing. The illegal organ industry is a billion Yuan industry. A kidney can go for as much as three million Yuan."

"Are the Chu’s crazy? Illegal harvesting or selling of organs is illegal. It carries a punishment life imprisonment or the death penalty under extreme circumstances." Triplet one said in a very exasperated manner. "I am going to involve intelligence in this."

"No," Ringo stopped him immediately. "This only leaves the room when we have exhausted our investigation. We can’t risk tipping them off, for all we know there are people in our organizations that have benefitted from this dirty business."

Muyang’s phone rung, interrupting the meeting and when he picked up, he frowned after two seconds.

"I have to go." he told his brothers after hanging up.

"What’s wrong?" Ringo asked immediately.

As Muyang packed up his personal effects, his brothers did the same, ready to follow him in case of trouble or an emergency.

"Something happened to Chi-Chi’s mother, they are in the hospital right now. You guys don’t have to follow me." he told them.

"We are all going." Ringo insisted.
