Chapter 223: Future plans

The big chef pointed around the bakery with her hands, "Space, I feel like the current size of the bakery is too small. We have been operating for a few days now and our customer size is showing a positive growth. Our products are good and word of mouth is spreading, I think we should break down the wall between this room and the next one to make this place bigger." She explained.

Occasionally, the place would fill up and become crowded. In such times, a few unhappy mumbles would be heard from the customers.

"I also think we should we should make things like ice cream and yoghurt to our products. We have the milk, all we lack are the machines." The big chef continued.

As she was still talking, Chi Lian saw the flash of a camera and her head swiftly turned to the side it had come from.

Who was daring enough to take a picture of her in here? There was a rule in the company that employees could not take her picture or that of Muyang and her children. She further expanded the rule to include all employees who did not want to be photographed. It was quite ironic for a company whose livelihood depends on taking picture of others to emphasize privacy of its employees.

The person who had just snapped the picture was a woman that was pushing a stroller to the counter. She was holding her phone with an innocent smile.

When she saw Chi Lian’s annoyed look, she smiled guiltily, with a few wrinkles around her nose.

"Sorry," she apologized, "Your children are so cute, I couldn’t resist."

While the woman did look apologetic, Chi Lian still didn’t want pictures of her children out there on the internet. Nobody took pictures of a random baby without intentions of sharing it with others.

Chi Rui beat her to it and said, "Your apology is accepted; however you still have to delete the picture. As someone with a child yourself, I am sure you understand my sister’s worry about her children’s privacy being infringed on."

Ever since that crazy woman tried to drown Mei-Mei, the whole family did not want many people to know what the children looked like. Who knew if someone else would try to hurt them? Muyang was one of the most desirable men in the empire and some women would do anything to have him, including harming the children.

"I won’t share it with anyone else." The woman replied softly.

"I insist." Chi Rui remained firm in his refusal.

The woman kept looking at him and then at Chi Lian. She was obvious not willing to delete the picture; it would be easy for her to pretend that she had done so without actually doing it.

"You know what, it’s okay." Chi Lian placed her hand on Chi Rui’s shoulder to calm him down. "However if I do see that picture anywhere on the internet I will sue you." She said with a smile.

Her tone was even playful which confused Chi Rui all the more.

"We are having a promotion for the bakery; you can scan the code on the poster at the counter and see if you are our lucky winner." Chi Lian told the woman with a big smile on her face.

The smile was so big that her lips curved up like a half moon.

"Thank you so much for being understanding." The woman happily turned back to the counter and scanned the code. Her face frowned when she didn’t win anything.

"Sister, why did you let her go? You know she will share that picture, even if you sue her many people will have saved or downloaded it." Chi Rui asked her with full blown confusion on his face.

Chi Lian scoffed and sneered. "Who says I am letting her go? I just stopped you because people were beginning to stare. There are other ways to delete the picture from her phone without creating a scene."

The moment the woman scanned the picture, T4 hacked into her phone and deleted the picture.

"Anyway," she turned her attention back to the big chef and said, "Expansion should wait, we need to first determine how much will be made in terms of profits and losses. If expansion is needed later on, we can do it outward by creating other branches. When that happens, I will offer you twenty percent of our sales, so work hard."

By promising the big chef that twenty percent, she had just sealed her loyalty forever.

Meanwhile, away from them, in a hotel somewhere in the city, Muyang and Wenzhe were sitting in a private room, waiting to meet a new potential client that.

"They are late." Muyang complained while looking at his phone. He was looking at real time pictures of Chi Lian and the children.

Wenzhe knew what he was looking at because it was him that paid the spy Muyang kept around Chi Lian to keep an eye on her in the office and inform him if she was in trouble at any time.

Wenzhe really found himself being amazed by all the changes in the young master ever since Chi Lian came around. It’s like his entire personality had been changed. Previously while waiting for a client he would be reading financial news or looking at changes in the stock market. Now, he would stare at pictures of his family with love and longing. People really changed.

"Young master, it has been less than a minute, maybe they are caught up in traffic." Wenzhe answered.

"One minute late is a minute out of my time that I could be using to visit my Chi-Chi, my children, teaching a class or making money. If they are not here in five minutes, we are leaving." He answered dryly.

The door to private room slid open and Wenzhe thought, "thank God." These were big clients; working with them would bring the company some more benefits.

These people were from the Baogang group of companies. It was the biggest company in the south and they were looking to lay down roots in the capital. This was their first official consultation with Jun investments.

Representing Baogang group were two middle aged men and one young woman.

"Mr. Ming, we are so glad that you could make it." Wenzhe was the first to welcome them. "Please take a seat." He smiled brilliantly.

"Thank you." Mr. Ming replied, equally smiling brightly. "This is my colleague the general manager of Baogang Mr. Wen and his sister Miss Wen; she will be working as the CFO of the capital branch."

"We are pleased to meet you all." Wenzhe extended his hand to each of them.

Muyang however remained unmoved; his demeanor was suddenly unwelcoming and cold. His eyes seemed to be shooting lasers at the clients.

"Young master." Wenzhe shook his nervously. At this rate, the young master was going to scare away the clients.

Muyang stood up and said, "Mr. Ming I am afraid Jun investments will not be able to work with Baogang. Wenzhe, let’s go."

Mr. Ming was caught off guard. What was happening? They had not even discussed a single thing and the best investor in the capital was writing them off!! How had they offended him?

"Young master Jun; if you have some dissatisfaction with Baogang please let me know. I will do my best to address the issue immediately" Mr. Ming hurried to say, with anxiety in his voice. If this deal failed to be brokered over unexplainable reasons, he would possibly lose his position.
