Chapter 224: The return of Shanxi

Muyang could see the desperation in Mr. Ming’s eyes; they had bulged and were turning red. For a little while, he felt sorry for the man after all whatever had angered him was not his fault.

"The company you keep Mr. Ming, I have a problem with it." Muyang stated.

Mr. Ming looked at Mr. Wei and his sister Shanxi. "Has any of you offended Young master Muyang before?’ he asked sternly.

Even without receiving an answer from them, he was pissed. He was looking at the Wen siblings as if he would strangle them at any moment.

Wen Chaoyan knew without fail that if this business failed because of him, he would be fired before night fell.

"I don’t think I have ever met you young master Muyang, however if I have done so and offended you in the process, I humbly ask for your apologies." Wen Chaoyan immediately bowed down, his head was almost hitting the table.

"I don’t know who you are." Muyang stated bluntly.

Wen Chaoyan lifted his head up. If it wasn’t him, then who else was left?

Mr. Ming and Wen Chaoyan turned their eyes to Wen Shanxi. She was the only one left after all, could she be the one who offended young master Jun Muyang?

Wen Chaoyan could not help but become suspicious. Originally, only two people were supposed to come for this meeting, Mr. Ming and himself. His sister Shanxi had however insisted on tagging along, claiming that she had a relationship with Young master Jun Muyang and his fiancé. She said her presence would make the deal go through faster.

He had convinced Mr. Ming to allow her come with them on the basis of her words. Why did it seem like everything was the opposite of what she said. Just see the way Jun Muyang was looking at her, if his eyes could pierce the flesh, Shanxi would be a corpse by now.

Wen Chaoyan could not help but curse over and over in his mind. Just what had his stupid sister done to piss off one of the richest and most powerful men in the empire? He always knew that Shanxi’s arrogance and greed for money would land her into trouble but he never thought he would be one of the people to get taken down along with her.

"So, you didn’t tell them that we already met and that I warned you never to look at me again?" Muyang asked Wen Shanxi coldly.

Shanxi was squirming like a maggot where she was sitting. Still, a green tea bitch was a green tea bitch; Shanxi had come here to redeem herself in Muyang’s eyes away from the influence of Chi Lian and she would not be stopped.

"Young master Jun, I don’t know what Chi Lian told you about me but it’s all lies. You should not believe her blindly just because you have children together." She said softly.

She bit her lower lip and her eyes welled with tears. She had come dressed in white today and she was acting like an innocent pure girl.

"Shanxi, shut up." Her brother said through gritted teeth when he saw the veins on the side of Muyang’s head tick. Whatever his sister was saying was doing nothing but pissing him off.

"No, brother, young master Jun misunderstood me, I have to tell him the truth. Young master," she called him softly but desperately. "I did not harm Chi Lian; I simply gave her some advice when her family lost its money. I didn’t know that she would take my wholehearted concern negatively. I should have known better, Chi Lian has always been arrogant and scheming. It would not be a surprise if she got you into bed by scheming." She looked up at Muyang from beneath to see if he was buying her words.

Her soft sobs could affect any man; even Mr. Ming who had previously looked at her like an enemy of progress had softened his gaze. He was looking at her pitifully.

Muyang sneered and said slyly, "So the one hundred thousand Yuan you borrowed from her and never returned was a scheme?"

Shanxi cursed in her heart. Why did that bitch Chi Lian have such a big mouth? It was just one hundred thousand Yuan; did she have to go around telling everyone that she lent such a small amount of money to me?

"I wanted to pay her back but she deleted all the contacts of the old classmates and disappeared. I heard that she had found an old man who was paying her bills." She lied.

Shanxi villainously laughed in her heart at her own words. There was no proof anywhere that she had not tried to pay Chi Lian back. And she did cut off contact with the old classmates; there were so many rumors going around about her back then. Even if Jun Muyang investigated, nothing was clear.

She was going to smear Chi Lian as much as she could, how could that bitch land a man like Young master Muyang? If she Wen Shanxi could not have such a man, Chi Lian was not allowed to have him either.

"Shanxi, I beg you shut up." Her brother pleaded.

Wen Chaoyan had been around enough powerful men to know what the look on Muyang’s face signified. His sister had just crossed a dangerous line.

"She left the group." Muyang said and then scoffed. "Or you made it a point to tarnish her good name until she had no choice but to leave?"

"I..." Shanxi tried to talk again but Muyang continued.

"You think I haven’t looked into you and your little group of friends? I have all the evidence of the good advice you offered her. You sent pictures of old men and dandies in that chat group asking her to pick from such men and marry one of them for money. You called her a beggar and humiliated her."

He approached Shanxi slowly like a predator approaching prey, slowly but fully focused.

"Young master..." Wen Chaoyan wanted to plead for his sister but he also didn’t know where to start. It sounded like Jun Muyang had plans to deal with his sister. Why in the world did she not pay back her debt in the first place? Their family was not extravagantly wealthy but they could afford one hundred thousand Yuan easily.

"As if that was not enough, after being thrown out of my fiancé’s home recently, you and your friends started spreading malicious rumors about her online. My team came across them quickly and erased them but we tracked down the source. I have been meaning to deal with you but you brought yourself to me on your own two feet." Muyang further proved that he already looked into Shanxi with his words.

"Y...You...Young master..." Shanxi started stammering suddenly. "It wasn’t my idea; it was one of my friends that did it I had nothing to do with it."

She did not personally write anything, how could he blame her for that too?

Shanxi had forgotten that even though she did not write anything, it was her idea to slander Chi Lian online.

Muyang stopped walking and stood directly in front of Shanxi. He looked down at her and said in a dangerously soft voice, "Prepare yourself to spend some time in the cold prison, perhaps you will learn to curb your mouth in there. And maybe you will come out a changed person."

"No...no, it’s that bitch .." Shanxi wailed and a slap landed on her cheek which shocked everyone.

One would think that with all the anger Muyang had, he would be the one to hit Shanxi but it was her brother Chaoyan that slapped her.

"What kind of stupid things have you been doing you idot? How many times did I warn you to curb your arrogance? Are you trying to destroy our family?" Chaoyan burst out a number of questions in anger.

He could not understand why his sister could not realize that Muyang could destroy their family with the snap of his fingers. Their parents were good hardworking people, just how was such an idiot born into their family.
