She contacted Tion, and asked him to prepare for exit in ten minutes as they were heading back home.

"It’s already done, governor." he told her.

She was not sure whether to be surprised or horrified that he could anticipate her next moves before she did. "How did you know?"

On the other end of the phone call, Tion sort of smiled. Anybody with a good head on their shoulders knew to expect this. What kind of mother would not go running if their child was in trouble? She was putting away some of her things which she didn’t intend to leave behind when Flan returned. She glanced briefly at the hound, accepted the soul gourd while responding to Tion. "It’s okay, the shields are active, Alex will take care of everything else. But when we arrive, everyone should be in their castle or special guard uniforms to avoid misidentification. There is an operation going on right now to apprehend some criminals."

"I will be at your door in fifty seconds then." Tion responded.

Scarlet had over time stopped Tion from doing as he pleased when it came to his protecting her. She ended the call and turned to the female hound. "What took you so long? Did you run into trouble?"

"That would be me." Lythia popped into the room with a response.

She was not alone, Severus and three of her guardian guards and two gate keepers had tagged along.

Scarlet looked at Severus and said, "You brought a cavalry. Are we in need of rescuing?"

Lythia was the one to respond in place of Severus. "It depends on what you found. This is not the first case of soul high we have seen. It’s the sixth on six different worlds. Whoever is doing this has done a great job of covering their tracks so far or simply moving to another world when discovered."

"Have I told you that it still amazes me that you deities do not have answers to everything?" Scarlet replied. She put her packed luggage away and sat down on the empty bed. "Oh, hello everyone." She waved at those who had come along with Lythia.

"So, what’s the plan?" Scarlet asked the deity. "Who do you think is the mastermind behind this apparition like operation? Is it a monster, grim reaper, ghost, deity, human, life angel. We cannot exclude our kind just because we belong to the same group."

"Are you insane?" One of the grim reapers asked.

Scarlet shrugged. "Don’t you watch television? When a woman is murdered they say it’s always the husband or the boyfriend until proven otherwise. Someone is using souls to make drugs and distributing them to humans and all sorts of shady creatures. The obvious suspects are the creatures who trade is soul business like us. It’s Occam’s razor people."

From the way they were looking at her, Scarlet could tell that she had shocked most of them. Lythia appeared neutral, looking at Scarlet with her everyday face.

Tension seeped into the room as her words crystallized in their minds and a few doubts formed. Was she right? Could it be one of them?

One of the gate keepers said, "I have heard about you. Reckless, talks without thinking, disobedient, never does as told and friendly with all sorts of abominations."

Scarlet cocked her head with an easy going smile on her face and said, "My fame strikes again. I am happy to know that I have a fan in you."

"I didn’t say that I was a fan." The gate keeper responded.

Scarlet smirked and a naughty look came over her face. "Mmm, too bad. Being my friend is a good thing. Ask all my friends, I am the best reaper they have ever known."

"Cut it out." Lythia told her.

There was a knock on the door and every head in the room turned towards it. There was a camera above her door which transmitted footage of anyone that approached it to a screen on the wall. Tion had come to pick her up.

"That’s my cue to leave, I have personal business to attend to. But I am so glad that you are all here and I will provide assistance seeing as to how this is my world and all. You might want to start with a human named Basir Povich, he is the son of lord Assam Povich, a baron."

The door bell rung and Scarlet stood up. "Well, I gotta run and I will see you around I guess. Let’s keep each other updated, I wouldn’t want to look where you have already looked."

"We need to talk." Lythia said.

The words were only heard by Scarlet just as she was exiting the door.

"Alone I take it." she responded.

"I will find you." Lythia told her.

Scarlet continued on her way, dialing Carolyn as she walked so that she would inform her that she was leaving the capital for now.

In the meantime, Esong was just about to conclude his hunt for the only remaining known member of DWN on the Blue star, his target, Winy Cocker.

The mecha warriors did not even identify themselves, breaking down the door to the room where she was hiding inside a hotel where she was being interviewed.

Once inside, her husband, daughter and the three reporters were neutralized. They were shot with anesthetics and then put inside sleeping pods and taken away.

Winy Cocker herself was screaming, frightened out of her mind. Like a scared animal, she looked around in search of a place to hide or an escape route.

Like a big devil, Esong descended on her. He squatted down in front of her, grabbed her by the chin and smiled. His entire personality changed and his eyes turned red. "Hello, I am Justin’s father. Now why don’t we talk about all the ways in which you have wronged my son."

He grabbed her by the hair as he had seen his in-laws do to their enemies many times and dragged her out of the room.

His friends that had stayed behind did not make a move to intervene and neither did anyone. Whether they approved or disapproved they didn’t say or indicate.

In fact captain Jacks was the only one to speak up as he giggled and said, "He has really assimilated into the Su family."
