Chapter 567: Dance party

Adler returned an obvious stare to Scarlet. He looked at her as if she was the one who was confused in their situation.

"What do you mean?" he asked her.

"Why are you squeezing yourself between us you dummy?" she asked him.

He pointed at her and then at himself. "We always sit together and sleep next to each other at these slumber parties. Isn’t that how it’s arranged?" He pointed to Fey and Elroy, then said, "The blonde twins, the mismatched duo and us, the cute pair."

"What are we, ten years old?" Carolyn shoved Adler.

He in turn pointed at Elroy and Fey and he said, "But the blonde twins are already sitting together."

Beord groaned in frustration, he walked over to them and carried Carolyn into his arms. "There, I will save us all the trouble of listening to him whining all night and take my duo partner with me. But, when we are living the good life in the palace none of you should come asking for favors."

Adler was not even listening as he put an arm around Scarlet’s neck.

"Now this is how it’s supposed to be." he claimed. "What are you guys wearing?"

His two sisters were dressed in Justin’s onesies. Well, these ones were adult sized but still, it was funny seeing them on a grown up.

"Everyone gets one." Scarlet announced. She held her hand out and pulled a bag from the corner. "You guys should also change. I prepared this with so much care."

Adler and Beord obediently picked up their onesies with loud sighs, expressing their reluctance and displeasure but all the same doing as their sister’s wished.

"I am not wearing that." Elroy on the other hand was very verbal about not wanting to look stupid.

"Then prepare for a whipping." Carolyn threatened him.

Elroy wanted to argue some more but Fey pulled him up by the tip of his right ear. She said to him, "Just do whatever is needed to make bridezilla happy."

"This is tyranny." Elroy protested.

"Yeah well, she will be crown princess tomorrow. She is allowed to be tyrannical."

"No she isn’t." he spat out.

Fey tossed the onesie at him and pushed him into the dressing room.

Beord came out of the dressing room dressed like a pink bunny, Adler was a brown bear and Elroy was a green frog. As for the women, their onesies were all black and white with patches like diary cows.

"This is so embarrassing." Elroy complained.

"Picture time." Scarlet said sonorously.

"No." Elroy yelled.

Unfortunately, for him, he was the very first person whose picture was taken. His outrage made everyone laugh.

He sulked and sat down with his arms folded across his chest.

"You guys are hateful."

Despite his complaints, the others gathered around him and took more pictures.

"Smile." Scarlet told him.

"Ooh, I am gonna look so cute." Fey said, pouted and posed.

Carolyn was making herself serious, posing as if she was sitting for a royal painting. Beord was goofing around, making weird faces while Adler smirked, thinking that he looked cool.

I wonder if I have a single normal sibling, Scarlet thought.

The door to the room opened and six heads turned to it. All adult siblings had been accounted for so who was invading their slumber party, they wondered.

It was their mother, Mega and she was standing there with a burning glare on her face as she stared at her six adult children. With her were Gregor and Halley, in pajamas and carrying pillows.

"Mother." Fey called out tentatively.

"Have you all lost your damn minds?" she yelled at them.

Some of them blinked a few times and stared at her blankly while others shared a confused look. What had they done to make her so mad?

Mega pushed the two young ones inside the room, turned around grabbed the stroller which was being pushed by one of her maids and pushed it inside too.

"Keep up this nonsense and you will piss me off. I have nine children so far, that makes you nine siblings. None of your siblings will be left out of anything." She slammed the door shut really hard.

It startled Illa who had been sleeping, waking her up and the baby of the family started to cry. Scarlet hurried to get Illa out of the stroller and she consoled the baby, putting her back to sleep effectively. While she was doing so, the older siblings were eyeing the younger ones with curiosity. Why were they here?

Halley hid behind Gregor’s back to avoid the intense piercing eyes of her older siblings.

"Why aren’t you guys in bed?" Adler asked them.

"Where is Justin?" Scarlet asked them.

It was useless to ask them why they were not in bed or why they were here when their mother had answered both questions in a one sentence.

Gregor answered on behalf of them both, "We are here for the Su sibling slumber party."

Halley popped her head out from behind Gregor and said, "Justin is sleeping. Mother fed him porridge and have him a warm bath."

Gregor moved forward confidently and put down his pillow besides Fey. Halley scrambled to follow him and she put her pillow down next to his.

Gregor looked at his older siblings and told them. "Mother says that she will not have a divided house. Whether you are almost forty or five months old, you are her child and where one child goes the rest follow."

Carolyn picked up her glass of wine and took a sip. She didn’t really care about them being here. The age gap between them and was quite big and they had little in common with the younger ones but at the end of the day, blood was blood.

"Give them onesies too." she told Scarlet.

An even more joyous thought crossed her mind. With a grin on her face, she looked at Elroy and Fey then said, "Ho, blond twins, we cannot watch a sports themed movie now. Our youngest ones will be bored. I dare you to make us watch that shit now."

Beord turned his head and slapped Carolyn’s lips lights.

"Don’t teach them crappy words."

Scarlet erected a sound barrier around Illa so that the little one would not be bothered with the chaos which would soon follow. She carried her out of the stroller and placed her on the bed besides her.

She couldn’t help the mushy feelings in her heart which rose up as she looked at her sister’s healthy pink chubby cheeks. She poked them, leaned down, sniffed her and kissed both kiss.

"Aah, so cute." she squeezed Illa’s tummy and squealed softly.

If their mother was there, she would have snatched her daughter out of Scarlet’s hands already.

While Scarlet was gushing over the baby, Carolyn turned on the music, loudly. "We should have a dance party." she suggested.

Elroy, Gregor and Beord were all in, jumping up immediately. Beord hurried to abandon the wine for beer and passed a few more bottles to the other siblings. The young ones he gave milk.

Adler pulled Scarlet away from Illa and twirled her around.

"Dance with me." he told her.

"I think you have forgotten that I can’t dance." she told him.

"Then jump around." he told her.

Scarlet looked around and the rest of her siblings were dancing or jumping, so she shrugged and joined in with a loud happy scream.
