"Long story short, Severus tracked the scents on the needle and that is how I was led to the boy, Caleb. His sister had a similar set of needles to the one we discovered in the park." She skipped over the journey and headed to the important part.

"Can I interrupt a bit with a question, governor?" Moss asked her.

Scarlet gave her approval by nodding.

"We have already questioned all the parties related to this incident and you are the last one. So, we know that you took the boy and his family with you to your castle upon this discovery."

"Yes, I did." Scarlet admitted.

"What prompted this decision?" Moss asked her. "The case was brought to your attention by the RGB and they were handling the investigation. Ideally you should have called the RGB and handed the suspect over to them."

"Ideally the suspect should not have been a boy, a little child that didn’t understand the gravity of his actions." she responded quite sternly.

"We are talking about your legal responsibility governor, not a moral one. The boy should have been handed over to the RGB, he committed a crime." Mosby said.

Scarlet’s brows were raised and she smiled. There they were, little snippets of veiled accusations which they were sugar coating.

"I am the governor of the Blue star and I decide the law here." She gave them all a cold look and said, "Legal responsibility____, I bear it for all of my citizens, the young, old, sick, weak, strong and rich. Do not try to confuse me, let’s stick to facts. For example, fact one, there is no law which says that I should hand over a suspect to the RGB. Two, there is also no law which stops me from personally investigating a suspect."

"But you let him go." Mosby said.

"Yes, I told my guards to send the boy to a hospital for a mental check up. I informed the RGB about it and requested that they investigate secretly and I also asked the doctor to convey the results of his medical assessment to me.

So, technically, I did everything by the book and I went an extra mile by providing medicine to treat the boy if he was suffering from the darkness which by the way, he wasn’t."

"You!" general Sang spat out. "You treated the boy for the darkness. So not only do you go around acting as an investigator for the RGB but you also moonlight as quack doctor." he finished off sarcastically.

"It’s what they call being multi-talented." she said, snapping her fingers twice, before his eyes. "Don’t hate me because you are a talentless coward of a man. You also did nothing when was husband was investigating the Xenoans back then and yet you were quick to open your mouth and criticize him just as you are doing me. What was it that he called you again? A limp cock, shriveled or flaccid. I wasn’t listening attentively when the story was relayed to me but please, elaborate on it. Don’t be shy."

There was an ordinary stapler on Scarlet’s desk, one from earth which she didn’t need to use but kept as a decoration. It started trembling and then suddenly flew at Scarlet.

She turned her body slightly and it hit the wall behind her.

"General Sang!" an exasperated Mosby screamed.

General Sang either didn’t hear or he didn’t care. All of his undivided raging attention was on Scarlet. What she had said had been the last straw. Whatever chains had been holding him back suddenly snapped and he lost his mind.

He got on to his feet and walked over rapidly to Scarlet, saying, "This bitch is lying. I will prove it and solve the case for you fools. Agents of the tribunal are permitted to do mind searches and finding answers from this one will give me great joy."

Scarlet sat down calmly and waited for him to reach her. The foolish prey was under the assumption that it was the predator. Why bother telling it otherwise.

It all seemed like a joke until general Sang laid his hands on Scarlet’s head and grabbed her by the hair.

Moss and Mosby stood up, intending to stop him.

"Stand down." Moss yelled.

The two agents of the tribunal were very confused. Why was General Sang acting as if he was possessed by something? The interrogation was not over. A mind search was a last minute tactic meant to be used on uncooperative individuals. Governor Scarlet was nothing but cooperative. In fact, she went out of her way to volunteer some new information they didn’t ask for like the cure for the darkness which she claimed to have. That was a big deal which the higher ups needed to know of as soon as possible.

"Make the call." Moss shouted to Mosby. Then, she pulled out her weapon, an energy gun and pointed it at the general.

"I am warning...." she said.

Just as she was about to issue a last warning to the general, Scarlet flipped things around. Suddenly, she slapped the great general Sang and wrapped her right hand around his neck.

General Sang’s eyes widened and he gasped for breath as she squeezed really hard.

"Ho__, how__, how?" he struggled to ask.

He was confused and panicking. He had clearly initiated his mind search technique when he touched her head. She should be out of her mind and slobbering or whimpering by now as he dug out her deepest secrets. How could she have resisted it? And how was she stronger than him? He could feel his feet dangling in the air. She had somehow lifted a man two times her size with one hand without using mental strength. What kind of freakish woman had that Esong Wu married?

He slapped her hand with all of his strength to break the tight grip she had on his neck but she didn’t even flinch.

Moss was very confused, and the hand holding the gun went from side to side. Who should she defend now? she wondered. Previously, Scarlet was under threat but now, general Sang was the one in trouble, or so it seemed.

"Governor, uhm, maybe we should first talk about this." Mosby who had just hung up said to Scarlet.

Scarlet shook her head, raised a hand and slapped the cheeks confused general again twice. She looked at the two agents and said, "This moron tried to search my mind forcefully. I have not even started dealing with him yet."

Mosby held his hands up and took a tentative step towards Scarlet. He was obviously applying the tactics she passed down to the first responders and fire fighters on how to talk down a suicidal or unreasonable individual.

"But we can settle this peacefully. The higher ups want to know...."

Scarlet was in no mood to listen or wait on tactics which would not work on her. "Alex, contact my husband and captain Zorl. Please alert them both to the failed physical attack on me. Send a message to the emperor as well. Get Tion and the others in here."
