Chapter 512: A visit from the water god.
Severus suddenly released flames from his deep in his belly, setting a surprised Ramslin on fire while Flan kicked him away. Their actions brought Scarlet out of the daze she was in and she shook her head.
More than that, she slapped her cheek as if to wake herself up.
"What happened?" she asked Severus.
"You started getting hot and your eyes turned green. I figured you would not want the nuisance noticing." he told her.
"What happened?" he asked her in turn.
Scarlet looked around, feeling as if a part of her mind had been seduced to the dark side by a deity, obviously.
"Here," the voice which was in her mind now spoke outside of her mind.
Severus and Flan looked around curiously. Scarlet could tell from their reaction that they had heard the voice too.
A soul was sent her way and Scarlet caught it with her soul binding rope. It was the celebrity Alyssa Cano.
"I found this one making away with her so I figured I would save you the trouble of hunting it down." The same voice said.
Something else was sent flying her way. It emitted evil energy and maliciousness. The two hounds released their flames, setting it on inextinguishable fire and it screamed while Scarlet caught it with her rope.
She put her hand around it’s neck and squeezed.
"That’s it, show me what you can do." The deeply excited voice said.
Scarlet did not reveal her green flame but the strength which which she was strangling the evil soul increased.
"Reveal yourself." she said sternly. "I already know that you are a god, one who doesn’t mind watching a grim reaper kill another one apparently. In my books, that doesn’t make you a friend now, does it?" she smirked.
"Seeing as to how I am a grim reaper and all." she added.
Out from a cloud, which the humans could not see, thankfully, blue ropes appeared and then a gigantic figure fell out. It did not land on the ground but floated there in space, seeming larger than everything.
The few stars in the sky looked like tiny grains of sand in comparison to it.
The figure shrunk itself to Scarlet’s height and then they finally met each other face to face.
Scarlet was not the only one who could sense the immense monstrous power and aura of the great being. It scratched and clawed, trying to get away from her and she glared at it.
"Shush." she said to it.
Other deities curbed their powers and tried to appear as normal as they could but not his guy. He screamed look at me, I am an all powerful god.
Physically he looked like a man well into his forties. He was tall and handsome, erect and dignified. He was an imposing man with a large body, equal in size to Beord.
He had a sharp nose and cold eyes that had this demand to be obeyed.
"Tridon." Severus growled out.
Scarlet’s head tilted to the right and she recalled where she heard the name. It was the water god, the one the fire goddess hated with all of her being.
"Yeah, gotta go." Scarlet mumbled.
It was her intention to evade every deity as quickly as possible until she put to birth.
"Do that and I will cover this entire world in water, drowning it until no trace of it’s civilization is left standing."
Scarlet was suddenly caught between saving herself and the humans of the Sun star. She looked at the water god and contemplated on whether or not he would really do as he said.
This was not his world, surely he would not destroy another god’s world. There had to be a rule forbidding it or something.
She calmed herself down and refused to think of the surprises in case the water god read her mind. It was time to talk to the death god about giving her something to block her mind and thoughts from all the deities.
"You actually doubt me. Why don’t I prove myself? Hmm...where should I start from? Where do you spend most of your time?"
The water god snapped his fingers and the ground rumbled.
Flan teleported away immediately to ensure the safety of her family. That was the instruction she had given the female hound. In case of anything, it was to protect them.
"Millions of years later and you are still the same Tridon, threatening those weaker than you to get your way." Carnelia’s voice came from the air and the fire goddess appeared.
Never before had Scarlet been grateful to see the goddess in her life.
The water god shrugged and the rumbling stopped.
"I am nothing if not consistent my sweet sister." he answered her.
Carnelia glared the water god and wrung Scarlet away from his side, planting her firmly beside her.
"Do not play with things that don’t belong to you Tridon. You have so many minions to play with under water. Go and play with your monsters."
Tridon chuckled and shook his head. "Now where is the fun in that?"
"The fun is in all of us knowing our places and adhering to the rules of creation. " Carnelia answered with a finality.
She pointed to Scarlet and said loudly, "Grim reaper, underworld business not water world business."
"She took my pearl." Tridon said.
"It was meant to be taken. Why else was it in the small world?" Scarlet responded.
Carnelia rubbed Scarlet’s back as if she was calming down a baby.
"It’s okay honey, let the grown ups handle this." she told her.
Scarlet’s body tilted to the side and she gave Carnelia a look of disbelief. The fire goddess was actually speaking to her as if she was a child.
"You actually like this one." Tridon said in disbelief and he laughed.
He looked at Scarlet curiously and his eyes persuade over her, studying her from her to toe.
Severus planted himself in front of Scarlet and growled.
"Hoo, this makes me want to play with her some more. I have always enjoyed taking from you over the years. It’s the beauty of our relationship sister." Tridon said.
Fire, just like it’s goddess was a very testy element. It did not really like anyone because it did not discriminate between friend and foe.
When it burned, it destroyed everything in it’s way.
His sister Carnelia did not like humans or gods alike. What made the little grim reaper likeable to her?
"What do you say? Can I borrow her for a while?"
"Hahaha."
Out of darkness Lythia’s voice appeared like a shadow born out of darkness. Nothing about her could be seen as if she was there but also not, at the same time.
"You will do no such thing." she declared.
