Out of the building, Scarlet thought of the places they could go and have a private conversation away from prying eyes.

All she could come up with was the library, castle, the forest or the underworld.

She pulled Lanta’s arm roughly and pointed to the ground. "Let’s go down."

Lanta shrugged her arm away and shook her head.

"I don’t want to."

Scarlet caught her arm once more, gripping it tightly and injecting a dot of the power of her green flame.

With a threat in her voice, she told Lanta, "You should be obedient while I still want to play nice otherwise I will be the one to erase you."

As hard as Lanta tried to rip her arm out of Scarlet’s scorching tight grip, she failed.

Lanta was in pain, physical pain. She had no idea what Scarlet was doing to her but she could feel her strength being drained and it caused her to panic.

"What are you doing to me?" She asked.

"I am teaching you not to mess with me. I am much scarier than this Lanta; don’t make you show you just how much."

Scarlet forced Lanta to follow her all the way to the castle, in a semi weakened state thanks to the green flames. They both took an elevator to her training room and from there, teleported to the underworld.

Severus was waiting for them at the entrance of the green paradise village, another home for reapers in the underworld. It was mostly similarly to the dark rune village except for the fact that it had less warrior reapers and less hounds.

It also had more trees than water as dark rune did. Here, spirit animals were running around freely, especially the monkeys.

"I brought her." Scarlet tossed Lanta in Severus’s direction.

Severus smirked at Lanta and looked at Scarlet. "I told you that I would get her to come looking for you in person."

"And you were right." Scarlet told him.

She eyed Lanta who was drinking something, probably rejuvenation water to regain her strength.

"Hey, start talking or I can drag you back all the way to your mistress’s palace."

Lanta wiped her lips, and smiled viciously at Scarlet.

"And you call us monsters, like you are any better than us." She spat out in anger.

"You are just bitter because she is stronger than you." Severus said, with a smug look on his face. He looked at Lanta with pride in his eyes.

You are not that great, were his unsaid words. Lanta was very well versed in the art of releasing her claws and making threats. Scarlet on the other hand was less threat and more hands on.

"I can take her in a fair fight." Lanta said through gritted.

"Oh yeah, fair means I can use all the powers at my disposal and you have not even experienced a drop in the ocean of that power. Just start talking, what are you doing with my brother? Why are you sniffing around my family? What are you doing on my world? Those are simple questions. Answer them and our business is done." Scarlet told her.

Lanta was pissed, but Scarlet did not give a damn. With children on the way, she wanted every possible threat identified and marked off her check list.

"Fine," Lanta rolled her head with an attitude to match her sharp glare. "I am what you call extra as in extra protection for you and your miracle babies.

Your circumstances are unusual; nobody knows what will come out of the woods when you give birth." She smirked and said, "If you give birth that is."

Severus growled threateningly, bearing his sharp teeth at Lanta.

Lanta shrugged as if she was she was harmless.

"It’s not me you have to worry about it’s the deity of life and his angels or other monsters that he might send to kill or steal the children because you have somehow defied your fate. You know all those legends of harpies snatching children, well in your case it will be a reality if things become dangerous it’s what I will do.

Don’t misunderstand me, I will fight to protect you and your children but if things go wrong, I will transport them children to a safe place.

Again, It’s not me that you should worry about reaper; there are many other potential threats that could present a danger to you."

In a deep voice, Scarlet warned Lanta. "I will kill you if you touch my children."

Lanta folded her arms, leaned her face forward and told her, "You see that rage you have, keep it alive because you might need it in future. Word of advice, don’t trust anyone especially not even your fellow reapers.

I have told you, reapers are like screws, they can become loose and they can pop.

You should hide your pregnancy from others for as long as you can. No congratulatory flowers, no baby showers, no cards or gifts.

You reapers have a pack mentality; you want to work in a group which is convenient for work but poison to your minds.

When one goes bad, it is often found that the entire group is the same.

It will take one reaper to ask others, why is she the one who gets to become pregnant. Why is she so special? And then they will all pick an interest in you and your human husband.

They females will go looking for him and the males; they will come looking for you. I have seen what unhinged reapers are capable of. The terrible anarchy your kind can create when they are out of their minds and desperate for children. I don’t know why the lord of death simply doesn’t cut off the emotions of all the reapers and be done with it. A cold reaper is still an efficient reaper at the end of the day."

"Shut your mouth." Severus chimed in with another growl. "I have seen what those cold efficient reapers you want so much can do. They would take all souls, even those of humans whose death has not arrived."

They had no mercy or morals, they were cruel. They craved death as if it was a drug and hypnotized humans into senseless wars because they wanted souls for strength. They let soul eaters and monsters run rampant for the same reason.

They brought suffering and pain in the human worlds; they were just as bad as the demons.

It took the intervention of all the deities in order for the lord of death to change the way things were done. The harpy did not know what she was talking about.

"Nyx is cold but efficient. I have never heard about him reaping souls wantonly." Lanta said.

"Nyx is wise, one of the few rare reapers that can control themselves even without emotions and know right from wrong." Severus answered her.

Lanta scoffed and looked at Scarlet. "Anyway, I am your protector and that is all you need to know for now."

After she said that, she vanished.
