The meeting run quite long, going on for two hours and it was entering the third when Esong called it off and thanked everyone for coming.

While they left, Scarlet distributed all of her business cards and they were soon finished. Each time she handed one over, people could not resist laughing or scoffing amusedly. The moment the room was emptied, she got the only card which she had left, the template off which the rest had been printed and she looked at it.

"I don’t get it," she told Esong in a confused voice. "Why does everyone keep reacting like that when they get a glimpse of my business card?" She shoved it in his face with a torn look on her face as she wondered if she should get rid of it.

Esong gently pushed her hand away, and took the business card, holding it out to face her. "It’s too bright, I have never seen a pink and gold business card before."

"It’s cute." she said defensively.

"It’s child...." he broke off after seeing the burning glare in his eyes which sent shivers down his spine. "Cute, it’s really cute just like you." he claimed.

"Hmph," she said, not believing him for the slightest second.

"But it’s unusual to say the least and you named yourself the CEO of the planet. I don’t think anyone has ever been a CEO of an entire planet before. I don’t even think such a position has ever existed in the universe." he added.

She pursed her lips and smacked her lips before sayin nonchalantly, "CEO, governor, it’s all the same. At the end of the day, I am running the planet."

He raised his hands in concession and said, "Alright boss lady, I am fully on board. Which man would not want to be married to the CEO of a planet? It means I could swim in wealth for the rest of my life and sponge off of you forever."

He grabbed a hold of her hand and batted his eye lids coquettishly.

She pushed him away and said playfully, "I hate sponges."

"Even if they are as cute as me." He said in a soft hurt voice. He even looked dismayed as if she was betraying him.

She widened her eyes and said, "Especially the cute ones."

He grinned and wiggled eyebrows, "What about the sexy ones?" He asked in a deep voice. His right hand also sneakily went around her back and pulled her closer to his body, even patting her buttocks in a circular motion.

"Them too." She answered and removed the manner less hand. "We should make preparations for lunch, I don’t know if Justin has eaten yet. I am sure Severus is clamoring for something to eat as well."

The pets and Justin had been picked up by her father and taken on a sight seeing trip around the hotel.

They left the conference room after what she said and Esong briefly went away to meet a colleague while she took the elevator by herself back to their suite.

In the long corridor, she met someone else, the woman who reviled her. When she said that she had no idea who she was, it was technically a lie. Scarlet recognized her so clearly and she would never forget this face. Even so, she had no business with the woman and she continued walking, looking away to the side as if the holograms of the planets interested her more than anything in the world.

But the woman was not willing to walk away from Scarlet, she blocked her path quickly and looked at her with the same look of revulsion she had on earlier and said, "So, you are going to pretend not to see me, Scarlet Su, you should be kissing my feet since you owe me everything you have."

Scarlet stuck her tongue on the roof of her mouth and tapped her fingers against her thighs and then, with a contemptuous smile on her face, she looked at the young woman with her long wavy light blue hair, beautiful face and expensive midnight black cloak.

"You are living a good life Reya, I thought you would be clever enough to desire to keep it that way." she told her.

The woman Scarlet called Reya looked around hurriedly with panic on her face and when she saw that no one was around, she calmed down. With a bitter scowl on her face which was all twisted up nastily, she reached her hand out and tried to grab Scarlet’s arm.

Scarlet stepped back and Reya grabbed the air. "I don’t just let anyone touch me." she told her.

"I gave you everything you have." Reya said through gritted teeth as she growled her words out as if they were being forced out of her mouth.

"You gave me nothing." Scarlet replied loudly. "On the contrary, I gave you everything that you have, no you stole it. You graduated as third in your class, you are enjoying a career as one of the best female mecha crafters in the empire. I have seen some of your interviews where you pretend to be hardworking, sweet and industrious. A role model to young girls everywhere and an admirable lady among the nobles, one whose hand is sought after by many noble sons and the best mecha warriors. You have become the precious gem of Viscount Marley’s house. If you want to keep things this way and maintain your fake image then I suggest that you glue your mouth shut and stay away from me."

She turned around to walk away from the woman who was so jealous of her sister Carolyn that she asked Scarlet to steal her project for the final examination. Reya had told Scarlet that she would destroy it, not that she would hand it in to the examination board of the school as her own project. When the deed was done, Scarlet was just as surprised as Carolyn but what was done was done and she could not explain. At the end of the day, she had played a part in the act after all.

"You don’t walk away from me.." Reya tried again to grab Scarlet’s arm.

Irritated with a huge volume of anger boiling like hot oil in her vein, Scarlet spun around, raised her hand and slapped the woman. "I warned you not to touch me." she said testily. "Lady, I don’t know you and I don’t talk to strangers."

She could see that dark swirling storm of hatred in Reya’s eyes and she could have cared less about it. Whether this woman hated her or not, it took nothing away from her.

Once more, she spun around to walk away determinedly but she had only taken three steps when Reya screamed something that brought her to a halt.

"I will tell everyone what you did. You can hide the facts but you cannot deny them, it cannot be a coincidence that you..."

Scarlet turned around and said in the midst of Reya’s loud threat, "You are a bigger fool than I thought."

"And yet you stopped, so this must mean that you are scared. I know the truth and I can bring you down. Your survival in the world of nobles is dependent on me." Reya’s mouth trembled as she smiled sinisterly while she kidded herself.
