Carolyn turned to the television, scrolled through all the programs which had been aired so far, and chose the cooking show. "This is the one tat was aired today morning, they used that chef that won the christmas baking tournament, fat Santa. I am surprised that you had no idea about this, shouldn’t they have talked to you first?"

Scarlet wanted to correct Carolyn first by reminding her that the name was big Santa and not fat Santa. But that did not matter much at the moment as she watched big Santa baking a giant cookie cake with chocolate chips. Chocolate was not very common because the cocoa plants were limited so, with the available ones they had made cocoa powder, chocolate chips and some chocolate brownie mix.

Santa was baking with his wife and daughter, just as Scarlet did with Justin.

"They copied your entire concept as well, and people are eating up the whole family baking dynamic thing, it’s trending on star net." Carolyn added.

Scarlet sipped her coffee slowly as she watched big Santa wipe his daughter’s face which was covered in flour. The cute daughter giggled and rubbed her flor covered hands on her mother’s cheeks. The entire thing was adorable, she had no complaints about it.

"Well, not the entire concept because I didn’t bake with my spouse and in a way, I don’t own BSTV, it’s technically a blue star owned television so Rodney is free to make changes as he sees fit, I gave him full authority to do so. The money made from BSTV goes into building the planet and while I am a bit quipped that I was not made aware of this change, I am relieved because the pressure on me to broadcast for BSTV has been alleviated."

Carolyn snorted, obviously she did not believe Scarlet. She abandoned the air fryer and came to look closely at Scarlet’s face. She even held her head in both of her hands and looked into her eyes curiously.

"What are you doing?" Scarlet asked her.

"Checking for signs of alien invasion in your body." Carolyn replied.

Scarlet rolled her eyes and kicked Carolyn’s right leg, forcing the other to let her go.

While Carolyn rubbed the spot Scarlet had just kicked, she complained. "You have been a possessive little shit for as long as I have known you. You were possessive of our father, then Adler, your toys, your money, your friends, your everything. I mean, it was always, mine, mine, mine, when it came to you. The show is called Scarlet’s sweet treats, it bears your name and another chef is going to build their brand on your name. How is it possible that you are not infuriated by this?"

Scarlet pursed her lips as she contemplated lightly on the words of her sister, and as she did so, she emptied the rest of the coffee into her stomach.

Meanwhile, Carolyn changed the tv back to what was currently airing, a children’s cartoon, Tom and Jerry.

"You know, I am not bothered because my live broadcast is done on my star tube channel and then connected to BSTV. With or without the television, I can continue cooking when I want. I think that’s part of the problem, Rodney wants it to be a daily show but I am not available everyday. Maybe bringing in fresh blood is not a bad thing." Scarlet suggested.

Carolyn shrugged and said, "If you say so,"

Then she walked to the coffee pot and poured the rest of the coffee into her flask and put it in her storage bracelet.

"Bye sis, see you later." she said.

"Wait," Scarlet called Carolyn before she could leave. "Have you seen Adler today?"

"Hmm, he went to work early in the morning." Carolyn answered. Then, she giggled and said "Like I said, possessive little shit. You haven’t asked about any member of the family this morning but Adler, mine mine mine." She turned around and left while repeating the word ’mine’ in a humorous voice.

Scarlet just ignored her, not bothering to explain that her reason for asking is because their oldest brother drunk himself silly the previous night.

"I should make him some hangover soup." She said to herself slowly. She knew of one kind of soup that was quick to prepare, soup with beef and potatoes.

She took all the ingredients from the pantry and her storage bracelet. She had everything except for bay leaves.

In times like this, she missed the internet search engines from earth because when it came to food, there was always an answer online. She looked at the ingredients that she placed on the kitchen counter and wondered what would be a perfect replacement for bay leaves.

"Let me just use what I have." She muttered to herself.

She turned on some music and placed potatoes in a potato peeler and then a dice to chop them into smaller pieces.

While that happened, she chopped an onion and placed a pan on heat. Then she added oil to the pan, browned the onions, ground beef and garlic.

After draining the fat, she added potatoes, broth, tomatoes, tomato soup, soy sauce and seasoning.

That done, she covered the mixture to simmer for thirty minutes.

When she was wiping the kitchen counter with her hands and a cloth, Gertrude came in and said, "I am sorry to disturb you lady governor."

"Yes Gertrude, what is it?" She answered.

"One Sephora shadow has come to meet you. She has no appointment but she says that it’s urgent and she came with your assistant Precious. How should I respond to them?"

"Send them in, bring them to my home office." She answered. Sephora had been requesting to meet her for a while and she had some time to kill before the hangover soup was ready.

Quickly, she made her way to her home office that was located next to the large large ball room in the castle which had never been used before.

The moment she sat down, Sephora and Precious entered.

"Hello, good morning take a seat." She indicated to the large leather chairs which were organized to mimic the appearance of a living room with a table in the middle. "I hate to rush you but I have twenty minutes maximum. How can I help you?" She asked them.

"Good morning governor." Precious replied to her first.

Sephora made a similar greeting, politely and she bowed her head slightly.

"I will go directly to the point, we have a deal but we never concluded on where or who we should deliver our catch to. We discovered some animals in the forest here and the one across the lake. My father wants them to be identified and delivered to the capital immediately, that’s why I have been trying to reach you urgently, time is of of the essence for us right now. The shadow guild has prepared to hold an auction of the animals."

"Show me." Scarlet said, looking very interested and pleased with this knowledge.

She had not been to the part of the forest across the lake except for one time to capture a soul eater that was escaping from the temple.

Had Severus been clever enough to spread animals in every forest on the blue star?
