Transmigrated Into The Body Of The Cursed Prince Wife -
Chapter 52: WAY TO GO, LUCIAN!
Chapter 52: WAY TO GO, LUCIAN!
Inside the carriage where the fourth prince was forced to ride with the servants, he was raining havoc on the poor girls who all looked frightened and thought they would have preferred to walk than deal with this.
"You on the right, why are you looking at me? Do you want me to gouge your eyes out with my dagger and hang them in my chamber for decoration?" he scolded his sister’s maidservant, who had not even been looking at him.
The poor girl quickly bowed her head and apologized, "I...I am sorry, Your Highness!"
He smirked in satisfaction when he noticed how terrified they all looked.
All this while, Orion had wanted nothing in life but to become as scary as the second prince. He used to envy how all the servants and guards would scramble away at the mere sight of him, and now, for the first time in forever, he was finally being scary enough to make these lowly beings tremble and apologize.
’It isn’t so much of a bad idea to ride with these lunatics!’ he grinned proudly.
Turning to his right, he noticed the other servant who belonged to that insolent Selene sitting next to him. He had not noticed her because she had moved to the end of the carriage seat and was trying to be as invisible as possible while he scolded the ones in front of him.
Remembering how her mistress had disrespected him, he decided to take it out on her maidservant. "You," he called to her, but the girl didn’t move and still remained seated. Frowning, he said, "I’m talking to you with the green eyes and brown dress!" He grimaced in disgust when he realized he’d looked at the maid long enough earlier to notice she even had the greenest eyes he’d ever seen and the most innocent face.
When Lydia heard he was talking to her, she almost jumped out of her seat when she glanced toward him. She had been lost in her thoughts, still worried about her mistress who had been acting strange to the extent she’d made them all ride in a royal carriage with a prince. That had never happened before.
Lydia’s hands nervously wrung together in her lap. She’d been sitting quietly the whole time he was ordering and scolding the others, hoping he wouldn’t notice her. She wished she had ridden in her mistress’s carriage instead.
"Yes...Your Highness?" she answered, her eyes nervously meeting his blue ones.
Orion raised two fingers and beckoned her forward.
Lydia hesitated for a moment. The carriage was moving and shaking, and if she stood up she might fall. She dared not scoot on the seat to move closer to the prince, so she decided to carefully stand up when the prince narrowed his eyes at her.
Swallowing hard, Lydia stood up and bent her back so she wouldn’t hit her head on the carriage ceiling. She was about to walk closer to the prince when the carriage jostled and she lost her balance. Her eyes widened as she went falling forward toward the prince, whose hands automatically moved to stop her from falling on him; however, his hands ended up holding what he wasn’t supposed to.
Orion’s eyes widened as his face flushed in embarrassment when he felt his hands flatten against something soft. In an attempt to stop the maid from falling on him, he’d raised his hands, but he hadn’t intended for his hands to land on her chest, not just her chest but her bosom!
He had never touched a female body part in all his life, and he had never even fancied any female, as he believed none of them were up to his taste and class or even worthy of his time. Girls were just plain stupid, except for his elder sister of course. And now that he found his hands on the chest of a servant, he acted in the only way he knew wouldn’t give away his embarrassment.
"Get away from me, you dirty human!" he exclaimed, quickly retrieving his hand from her chest. However, it seemed the maid had been too shocked when he touched her chest, and when he removed his hands, she ended up falling on his body again.
Lydia, whose face had heated up and was dying of embarrassment from being touched by a prince in an inappropriate way, wished a hole would open up and swallow her when she fell on his body again. However, she didn’t waste time this time and quickly moved back from him and sat down, her hands clutching her dress to control her panic and fear.
Thankfully, the other maids weren’t watching and had kept their heads down. However, that didn’t mean she wouldn’t be punished for daring to fall on a prince.
He had been the one to touch her inappropriately, but she would be the one to get punished for it, and the thought of being punished by death or being locked up in a cell made her eyes well up with tears as she turned to apologize, only to find that the prince wasn’t even looking at her. His flushed face was turned toward the open window, no longer paying attention to the servants.
Orion could still feel the shape of her bosom lingering in his palm, and the more he felt it, the more his face heated up. He stared out the window while rubbing his palms on his clothes to get rid of the lingering feeling. He’d never known a female bosom could be this pleasant to touch, and the fact that he found it pleasant made him more annoyed and irritated.
Orion gritted his teeth. This stupid, disgusting servant must have done it on purpose. Did she think that because she made him touch her bosom, he’d forget that he was about to punish her for what her mistress had made him go through? Well, she must be out of her mind, because he would teach her a great lesson!
Orion turned to teach the maid a lesson when the carriage suddenly came to a stop. And before he could say anything, she had fled the carriage and run out of it like she was being chased by demons.
When he realized that they’d arrived at the second prince’s palace, he also stomped out in chase of the servant.
Lydia ran to the second carriage, where Ave was stepping out, and quickly hid behind her mistress when she noticed the fourth prince was coming toward her.
Ave stretched her arms above her head as she stepped out. She massaged her neck and sighed. "How could anyone get used to such jolting rides?" she muttered under her breath.
The ride wasn’t only uncomfortable, but she’d sat through a thirty-minute carriage ride and endured a journey with the most ignorant, brainless twins she’d ever met in all her life, who had talked about their beauty or the cursed prince and how being in his palace would make them less appealing because they’d heard the atmosphere there was smelly and dirty.
She’d always thought Victoria was the worst kind of narcissist she’d ever come to know, but Victoria was nothing compared to these twin princesses who had not stepped out of their shells to see the real world.
Ave hadn’t been able to control herself and had added fuel to their fears when they kept talking about Lucian’s palace and how it would ruin their beauty. She’d told them all sorts of scary things that had made the twins look like they’d rather remain in the carriage than step foot into the doomed palace.
Ave smirked as she realized the twins were not making any attempt to step out even though the elder princess had already climbed down and was looking at her surroundings.
Ave was about to encourage the two to come out when she felt Lydia clutching her dress from behind. She turned her head to the side with a smile. "What’s up, Lydia? Did you enjoy the ride?" she asked, but when she noticed the girl’s flushed face and teary eyes, a frown settled on her face.
"What happened?" Ave questioned, concerned. "Did that brat of a prince do anything to you?" She wasn’t going to tolerate anyone hurting the people she cared about, and though Lydia wasn’t her maidservant but Selene’s, Ave had taken the girl like her younger sister.
Lydia shook her head as more tears flowed down her cheeks. How was she going to tell her mistress that the prince had touched her bosom? She glanced towards the fourth prince, who had stopped in his tracks upon Ave’s question and was now signaling her not to say anything to her mistress with his finger on his lips.
Ave turned around to see who Lydia was looking at and saw Prince Orion looking anxious and flushed. A frown settled on her face. What happened between these two? she thought.
"Lydia, tell me what he did to you and I’ll beat him into a pulp right this instant," Ave said with a big sister voice as she grabbed both of the girl’s shoulders.
Lydia glanced briefly at the prince, who now looked so embarrassed he was biting nervously on his fingers before she looked back at Ave and then shook her head. "He...he didn’t do anything."
Hearing her words, Orion sighed in relief. He wasn’t just embarrassed but a little scared of what that insolent Selene might do to him.
Ave was going to push on so the girl would tell her what the prince did to her, as she could see it in her eyes that she wasn’t telling the truth. However, her attention was soon drawn to another direction, where Lucian was practicing, or what looked more to her like fighting with his men on the other part of the palace grounds.
He was shirtless and moving with such practiced ease as he swung his swords at his men who looked exhausted and breathless as they tried to defend his restless attacks. Ave momentarily forgot about the twins in the carriage and Lydia as she stared in fascination at how he was swiftly moving with two swords.
She remembered when she had been cast as a tyrant princess in the movie she played, sword fighting had been the hardest of all the trainings, but seeing as Lucian moved with ease, she couldn’t help but feel impressed.
She found herself walking toward the training grounds where everyone was now watching. Lucian’s hair was tied back and his exposed torso glistened with sweat. He wore a loose black trouser that hung low on his waist, where the V of his lower waist was showing.
Ave was so fascinated by his swordsmanship skills that she couldn’t help but clap when he dodged a last-minute attack toward his neck. "WAY TO GO, LUCIAN!" she yelled out his name at the top of her lungs, momentarily taking Lucian and everyone else by surprise.
Lucian, who had been too immersed in his practice, hadn’t realized she had returned. Her sudden loud voice and audacity in using his name when he’d just warned her about it last night caught him off guard. He turned around and missed defending an attack, and the soldier’s sword pierced through his arm, where blood was quick to start oozing out.
