Transmigrated as the fake young master, I'll beat up the scumbags and b*tches -
Vol. 1 - Ch. 314 - Twisted
“HuMing!”
Bai XingQi’s voice yanked HuMing’s thoughts back to reality.
His vision was stained with red. He gripped Shi Ren’s collar, chest heaving with rage.
Slowly, he turned his head—and the murderous glint in his eyes genuinely startled Bai XingQi.
This was the first time she’d ever seen someone with such a bloodthirsty aura. It was even more intense than the assassins from Blizzard.
But they couldn’t afford to waste another second here.
“HuMing, you have to take Kang Xin out! She’s injured!”
Hearing that Kang Xin was hurt, HuMing finally released Shi Ren and rushed to her side.
He quickly checked her condition—her face was pale, her breathing shallow and labored.
“No, not like this. If you move her too roughly, it could get worse. I’ll take her down now. Can you handle things upstairs?”
Without waiting for an answer, HuMing sliced through the ropes around Bai XingQi’s wrists with his dagger.
Bai XingQi flexed her wrists briefly, then stood up and said firmly, “I can. She’s my little sister—nothing must happen to her. You protect her.”
“You don’t need to teach me that.” HuMing scooped Kang Xin up in a princess carry and vanished down the corridor in a flash.
Bai XingQi’s gaze darkened. She already had a good guess who was behind this whole mess.
“HuMing… am I going to die?” Kang Xin asked weakly as HuMing carried her down flight after flight of stairs.
The police had already surrounded the building; even the elevators had been shut down.
HuMing had to move quickly—but also keep her steady.
“What nonsense are you saying? As long as I’m here, I won’t let you die!”
“HuMing… honestly, I should’ve died a long time ago. It should’ve been me, not Sister Hu Min…”
The name Hu Min made HuMing nearly trip.
Had he heard wrong? She said Hu Min—how did Kang Xin know that name?
Could it be… Hu Min had also come to this world?
His mind was a storm. For the first time, HuMing felt like this world was far beyond what he understood.
He’d thought he was the only one from that world. But if Hu Min had made it here too—then he had to find her.
As for Kang Xin saying Hu Min was dead—HuMing refused to believe it.
That woman… she wouldn’t die so easily!
Gritting his teeth, HuMing’s determination burned brighter than ever.
In a blink, he reached the first floor, where police officers were already waiting. The moment they saw him carrying an injured person, they rushed over with a stretcher to take Kang Xin.
“Young Master!” Lan Jun came running up to him.
“Is he here yet?”
“Yes, he’s ready!”
HuMing nodded and turned to head back upstairs.
The police tried to stop him—but he shoved them aside with force, even snatching a pistol from one of them.
One officer reflexively raised his weapon—but someone else stopped him.
“Are you insane? That’s a Gu family kid! If you shoot him, how will you answer to the Gu family?!”
Several officers gave chase, but HuMing didn’t care. Inside the banquet hall, Xia XiaoXi and the others were still there—he had to go back for them.
“I’m here!” Bai XingQi called out as she stepped into view. Her eyes locked coldly onto the man on stage, and she strode forward with long, steady steps.
She swept her gaze across the room. Many of the thugs looked down, not daring to meet her eyes—afraid they’d be recognized.
These men had clearly planned to betray Blizzard long ago. Most likely, they’d been expelled for breaking its rules.
“Bai YongKang, drop the act. You think I don’t recognize you? You bribed those exiles from Blizzard and staged all of this—just to destroy it completely, didn’t you?”
She stood on stage, facing the man eye to eye.
Gasps rippled through the crowd.
Everyone in the capital knew of the feud between the Bai siblings. But no one had expected it would lead to a mass kidnapping.
Hearing his name, Bai YongKang ripped off his mask and laughed maniacally.
“Bai XingQi, you saw through me again. But it doesn’t matter. All I want today is to see you dead.”
He pressed his gun to her head, eyes locked onto hers with burning hatred.
“Why didn’t you die back then? Why did you come back to the Bai family?! It was supposed to be mine! Why do you keep standing in my way?!”
He roared at her, as if her very existence disgusted him.
But Bai XingQi simply raised her head and stared back at him, unmoved.
“Why should I have died? If it weren’t for me, the Bai family would’ve been erased! You think you’re standing here now because of yourself?”
“It’s your fault! If you hadn’t helped the Gu family back then, they’d be the ones gone—not just one woman!”
Everyone in the capital knew which woman he meant.
Gu WeiYi’s eyes turned ice-cold, a killing intent boiling just beneath the surface.
He swore—he would personally kill Bai YongKang.
But Bai YongKang had no idea. He shoved the gun harder against Bai XingQi’s temple. She didn’t even flinch.
“You’re bringing all this up in front of everyone. Does that mean you’re not planning to walk away alive?”
“That’s right. As long as you die here today, that’s enough for me. You think Blizzard gave you everything? Then I’ll strip you of everything—leave you with nothing!”
“Son, no!” From the audience, the old Bai patriarch reached out, trying to stop him.
At his age, he no longer wanted to see his children tearing each other apart.
But he couldn’t deny it—he had completely failed as a father.
And then Bai YongKang took a deep breath—and did something no one expected.
He turned the gun.
And fired.
The gunshot rang through the banquet hall.
Screams erupted, shrill and deafening.
No one could believe what they’d just seen—Bai YongKang had shot his own father!
The old man stared down at the bloody hole in his chest, shocked. He’d never imagined he would die by his own son’s hand.
“Dad… you talk too much. How could you not support your own son?” Bai YongKang said with a twisted smile.
Bai XingQi stood frozen, staring blankly.
She had never imagined Bai YongKang had fallen this far.
