Two days later, Tong Chunian brought a file containing each and every information about Liu Ying. As Xi Ting perused the investigation report provided by Tong Chunian, a surprising revelation unfolded. The document detailed an unexpected connection between Liu Ying’s past and a pivotal event in Xi Ting’s own life.

Tong Chunian shared the important details in the investigation report with Xi Ting, "Boss, there’s an intriguing piece of information in the report. It mentions that Liu Ying slept with someone in February after being planted in a room at a hotel. Her best friend, seemingly motivated by jealousy, orchestrated the situation. Strikingly, the hotel in question is the same one where you were drugged by your business rival during a regrettable encounter."

"After Liu Ying found out about her pregnancy, she made the decision to keep the baby. "From then on, Liu Ying was on her own and she survived in the capital by working as a waitress. Finally, during her pregnancy, she was taken to our hospital where she delivered the child. However, since it was a premature baby, it had to be kept in the incubator. Liu Ying had spent six days in the hospital when she got a call from her family that her father was ill and wished to meet everyone one last time. Thus, Liu Ying rushed out of the hospital towards her home when she met with an accident which left her comatose for six years."

"It means that whatever she has told us is true," Xi Ting analyzed.

"Yes," Tong Chunian concluded.

"Reach out to Liu Ying. Let her know that I would like to meet with her again in this hospital itself," Xi Ting ordered.

"Okay sir."

The next day, Liu Ying arrived at the Angel Hospital again. This time, the manager was waiting for her at the entrance and as soon as he saw her arrive, he directly escorted her to Xi Ting’s office.

"Miss Liu, please have a seat," Xi Ting offered.

Liu Ying took a seat in front of Xi Ting before she asked, "Young Master Xi, did you find anything about my son?"

Xi Ting nodded, "Miss Liu, I want to ask you a question. If you can answer it, I’ll tell you about the things found out by me."

"Go ahead," Liu Ying’s eyes lit up when she heard that Xi Ting could have some information about her child.

Xi Ting asked, "Miss Liu, can you let me know anything about your child’s father?"

Liu Ying’s face darkened. Her reaction was palpable, indicating that the memories associated with the child’s father held a complex and emotional significance in her life. She fell silent for a substantial amount of time. Xi Ting sat opposite to her quietly waiting for her to regain her senses.

Liu Ying, after a while, looked up and her eyes met Xi Ting’s. She took a deep breath, "My child does not have a father. I was set up by my best friend to have sex with an old man. I was drugged that time and so I do not remember the face of the man I had sex with. When I woke up in the morning, that man had already left. Even when I asked about his details from the reception, the hotel staff would not tell me anything and they said that his details were highly confidential."

Xi Ting gazed at Liu Ying. All the things that she had said coincided with what had happened with him. He too was drugged and thus he had sex with an unknown woman. However, as soon as he got up in the morning, he left the room even without looking at her face. He thought that the woman was a prostitute and thus he did not need to pay any attention to her. He was so angry at that time that all his attention was on taking revenge from the business rival. Thus, after he returned to the office, he asked Tong Chunian to take care of the woman.

However, when Tong Chunian reached the hotel, the woman was already gone. When they investigated the matter, it was found that the woman who the business rival had planted in Xi Ting’s room did not reach the hotel in time and was not the one with whom Xi Ting slept with. Even the surveillance cameras did not show anything as the business rival had taken care of them and they were non-functional that day. There was no way that they could find anything. They had no idea about the woman who Xi Ting slept with.

Now, with Liu Ying’s words, it seemed that the pieces of the puzzle were being placed in the right place. Maybe at that time, Liu Ying entered Xi Ting’s room by mistake and thus, they couldn’t find anything about her. They had no clue that she was not meant to sleep with Xi Ting. And thus, they were unable to find her.

Xi Ting analyzed everything and dropped the truth bomb on Liu Ying, "Miss Liu, actually the reason I asked you for your personal details is because I suspect something. The date and time of birth that you had told us coincides with the date and time of birth of my son Xiaobao whom you had rescued from the kidnappers. When I came to know that he is my child, no matter how much I tried, I couldn’t find his mother. Also, the incident of your impregnation is similar to what I had experienced in a hotel at the same time frame. I feel that this is too much of a coincidence and thus I suspect that you are Xiaobao’s mother."

Liu Ying appeared stunned. She did not know how to react.

"You...you..." She wanted to curse Xi Ting but she couldn’t afraid of his status.

Xi Ting knew what Liu Ying was thinking and he took a rare chance to defend himself, "Miss Liu, don’t think that I have taken advantage of you. I myself was set up by someone and I was drugged."

Liu Ying’s eyes were full of tears but she did not let them fall. She sniffed, "It’s not confirmed that my child is Xi Xiaobao so there is no need to explain anything right now."

Xi Ting nodded, "To understand this further, I would like to propose a DNA test. It will help confirm any familial relation between your son and mine. Everything will be clear once the DNA test results come out."

Liu Ying thought for a while before agreeing, "Okay, I agree to give my DNA sample. I just want to know about my son. Everything else can be taken care of after the results come out."

"Yes," Xi Ting was somewhat satisfied with Liu Ying’s behavior. She was a calm, composed and an understanding person.
