As they approached Xi Ting’s office which occupied the entire floor, Tong Chunian knocked on the door before entering.

Tong Chunian: "Boss, Miss Liu is here for our meeting."

A cold voice sounded from inside, "Come in!"

Tong Chunian opened the door and led Liu Ying in. The office was spacious, with floor-to-ceiling windows offering a panoramic view of the city skyline. A large, polished desk occupied the center of the room, neatly organized with documents and a sleek computer.

Xi Ting looked up and asked Liu Ying to take a seat. Liu Ying nodded calmly and took her seat in front of Xi Ting’s desk.

When Liu Ying settled down, Xi Ting said, "I wish to ask you a few questions. I hope you can answer truthfully."

"How did you find my son?"

"I had gone there for food delivery when I noticed that something was wrong. Thus, mustering up the courage, when I got the chance I rescued the little guy," Liu Ying replied.

"Did you see any other hostage?" Xi Ting inquired.

"The room in which your son was in, I did not see anyone else who was held captive."

"Did you find anything else which was wrong there and which could help in our investigation?"

Liu Ying shook her head, "In order to rescue the child, I did not focus on any other details. After all, I didn’t know that there was another hostage. So, I felt that once the child was rescued, the police would eventually find out about the culprits."

Xi Ting nodded thoughtfully. There was nothing to pinpoint about whatever Liu Ying said. However, he could not get anything from her replies. It was just that he felt that something was strange about this woman, but he could not point out what was strange.

Thus, after he was done with his questioning, he asked Tong Chunian to escort her out.
