Transmigrated As A Feisty Omega
Chapter 142: The dark prince

Chapter 142: The dark prince

Happy New Year, my lovelies! We made it to another new year, and I pray this year will be the best for us. So, I have decided to return to this book because of a lovely fan of mine. Their (I don’t know their sex) support and power stones every day reminded me I had a book to return to. So, I’m back.

Note that the tenses in this work will change, and the same goes for the writing style. I lost the outline for this world and the future worlds Brys would explore, so I can’t tell how this will develop. Not only that, but I tried to read the first book to get an insight into what the book is all about and to get their physical descriptions. I did this in December, so I have forgotten most of what I had read.

Let’s just keep our fingers crossed and hope it will end up well. Thank you, once more for your support. I appreciate.

...

"Storm?" I rolled my eyes at him. "He won’t do anything to you. Besides, he has other things to take care of in the forest."

He gulped, looking around as if Storm might jump out from the shadows if he dared to step into the room.

"Are you certain about this? He warned me never to —"

"Come on. You are an Omega. There won’t be any relationship between us." I urged him to come in. "We were friends before. Best friends at that. We can rekindle our friendship."

Ray frowned. I could tell he didn’t want to obey me, but he did. Inhaling, he looked around before he stepped into the room and closed the door behind him.

"See? Did I bite you?" I teased. "You don’t have to act like we haven’t known each other since I arrived at the kingdom."

"Storm will have my head if he knows I’m in here." He glanced around the room. "It’s a pity he won’t know until he returns from the...." He trailed off, looking at me.

"He will return." I frowned at him. "He will," I said, trying to convince myself more than him. I would have to call Fan over to ask him about the quest, and to know if Storm will be okay in there.

Even though he was not the same as the one I knew back in Dark Moon, he was my Ray. All I needed was to find ways to get him to return to that cheerful bundle of joy he was back then.

"What do you want us to do? I haven’t gotten any holiday before, so I don’t know what to do in my spare time."

"We can take a walk around, and get to know the secret places in the palace, you know."

"Yeah." He still looked reluctant. From the little I knew about the Ray of this kingdom, I could tell how much he feared and respected Storm. Even in his absence, he was acting as if Storm would jump out from the shadows and attack him.

"Perfect!" I checked my outfit, scrunching my nose. "I need to get changed. Wait for me." Before he could say a word, I was already in my closet. I took the new outfits the fan got for me and walked into the restroom. I got changed into the new shorts and shirt I got before I left the bathroom, smiling at how comfortable my clothes felt.

"How do you get those clothes?" Ray frowned when I got exited the bathroom. His eyes took in the floral shirt and black shorts before it returned to my face. "I’ve never seen such beautiful materials before. It looks more convenient than this." He touched his wrapper.

"Of course. Do you want it?"

"Can I have one?" He perked up at that, his eyes wide. "Is that even possible?"

"Absolutely. I will just have to ask Fan to get one of your size. Which colours do you like?"

"Fan?" He frowned. "Who is that? Is he in the palace? I haven’t heard of him."

"Oh, he’s..." I rubbed the back of my neck. "That’s my second name. I’m fond of calling my design self, Fan. Rest assured, I will have your clothes designed tonight."

"Thank you so much!"

"My pleasure. Come on, let’s go. It’s time to explore." Grinning, I walked to the door and opened it, only to freeze when I saw the person at the other end. Theo was leaning on the opposite wall with his arms folded and a dark glare on his face.

"Theo?" I blinked, to be certain I wasn’t imagining him.

He grumbled some words under his breath, still glaring at me like we were having a sort of feud.

Ray must have heard his name, as he sprang over to my side.

"You have a man in the room with you?" Theo’s eyes narrowed when he noticed Ray. "Storm hasn’t been gone for a long time, and you already have a man in your room?" He let out a dry laugh. "If only my pompous brother would see you with his special guard."

"What are you doing here?" I folded my arms, glaring hard at his face.

"I haven’t forgotten our bet, you know?" He drew away from the wall and approached me, his eyes glinting with mischief. "Can I have a minute of your time? Alone," he added when his eyes landed on Ray. The smirk on his face turned into a scowl, and I felt Ray stiffen.

Theo was, after all, the dark prince, who only started showing up when I returned to the palace with Storm. It made no sense to me at all, but I felt he changed because of me.

I glanced towards Ray, who frantically shook his head, telling me not to go with him before I let out a sigh. "What do you wish to talk to me about?" I returned my focus to Theo, with my arms still folded and a bored expression on my face.

"You will know when you come with me." He gave Ray a pointed glare. "Some things are best not to be talked about when there are others around, don’t you?"

I wanted to argue but felt it wasn’t necessary. Since he came over to speak to me, it meant whatever he had to say was something serious. "Okay. Just give me a minute."

"Be fast."

I turned to Ray, who was looking at me with wide eyes.

"You can’t be serious, Brys. Why did you agree to go with him???! He’s the dark prince, and he’s dangerous!" He made to hold me only to freeze at the last minute... Instead of touching me, he took a step back like he was attacked.

"I know he’s dangerous, but not as bad as Storm. He’s the most dangerous among the princes." I gave him a small smile. "Wait for me in the garden. I will seek you out after talking to him."

"No, I won’t let you go with him. Storm tasked me with keeping you safe. If I can’t do something as small as that, then I’m not even worthy to be called a special guard." He frowned, looking ready to defend me even if it meant standing against the dark prince whom he feared.

Though Ray’s face looked serious, the slight shake of his legs was enough to let me know what was going through that mind of his.

"It’s okay." I placed my hand on his left shoulder and squeezed. "You have done your best. Storm didn’t ask you to follow me —"

"He did! He said I should stay guard outside your door and go with you to wherever you might choose to go. He will have my head if I don’t fulfil his orders."

"Come on." I let out a sigh of exasperation. Hearing him talk like that made it seem like he thought, just like Storm, that I could not keep myself safe. "Go ahead to the garden. I will meet you there, okay?"

He looked reluctant as his eyes went from my face to Theo’s before he let out a sigh. "Okay. I understand."

He stepped out of my room and glared at Theo before he walked down the hall, leaving me alone with the smirking dark prince, one I knew was up to no good.
