My mind was plagued with thoughts of what Fan told me about the bug. How the hell am I supposed to know who the damned bug is. It’s not easy to do so because of how jovial the men involved are. May doesn’t look like a bug and so is Phillip.

I strode down the halls until I got to the garden Sky spoke of when we met. It only took a walk through the halls to get me there.

There are no guards when I arrived, which gave me ample time to check out the garden. I walked through the rose garden and got to the Lilies, the sweet scent of the flowers was so inviting. With a sniff, I leaned down to pluck one when I heard a cry.

Without thinking, I dashed towards the place, running so fast, I was a bit dizzy from it all.

A woman was lying on the ground, crying out as a huge wolf towered over her, growling. Though I just arrived at the scene, I was able to deduce that the wolf was attacking the helpless Omega.

With a leap, I jumped on the wolf and wrapped my hands tightly around his neck. He thrashed, howled loudly on his throat and tried to throw me off his body, but I held tight, not budging a bit.

The woman moved back as the wolf took a step towards her. A hit was all it took to get him down. I hit him on the back of the neck, and he fell to the ground.

"Finally!" I jumped down from his body and approached the still scared woman who was staring at me with her eyes so wide in fear. "Are you okay?" I took a cautious step towards her, trying not to spook her because I know she was scared already.

"Yea — Look out!" She cried out.

I turned the moment I heard her voice, just in time to bend, to avoid getting clawed by the monster. He tried once more to claw me, but I bent and slid under him until I got to his back. I didn’t wait for him to rise. I hit my right foot on the ground and jumped on his back, but he threw me off him, already aware of what I intended to do.

The woman yelped when the monster jumped on me, placed his right palm on my chest, and pressed down.

Pain racked through my entire body, and I gritted my teeth, kicking with all my might while he pressed down on me without budging.

I was able to throw him off me. It took a lot of willpower and concentration to throw him off me. This time, I didn’t allow him a lot of time to recover. I jumped on him and kicked him hard on the neck.

He howled at the top of his lungs, crying out when I hit him on the back — three times harder than I did before.

With a cry, he fell to the ground, dead. The loud thump sound he made when he fell was a bit deafening. The moment he fell, I jumped down from his body and approached the maiden who was now standing, with her right palm over her heart.

"Are you okay?" I asked once more as I approached her.

"Ye.. yes!" She answered, "I’m good! It’s just that .." Her mouth quivered, "thank you for saving me. I thought he was about to rip my heart off my chest!" She looked so winded, "thank you!"

"What happened? Isn’t he a guard?" I glanced at the dead body, trying not to think hard about the fact that I killed someone. Back in Dark Moon, I killed more than twenty men during the time I was kidnapped.

"No, he’s not. He’s one of the rogues who wish to be without a leader. They are planning a takeover," she glanced at the man. "He was among the ones they climbed through the wall."

"A rogue? Never heard of it."

Fan didn’t say anything about Rogues. I was supposed to fight against the bug and get Storm to fall for me, but it seems like I have other things to take care of like the rogue that I’m supposed to catch.

"They just started a few years ago. But this moon, they have gotten rather powerful. I heard there’s someone in the forest, giving them intel."

Hmm.

Things seem a bit too...

"My queen!" She suddenly screamed out, glancing around the place as if looking for someone — her queen perhaps.

I gave the maid a once over, taking in her white wrapper and golden beads, which signify that she’s a maid for the Royal queen.

"Your queen? What happened to her?" Just like the maiden, I glanced around the place.

"She was with me when she was attacked and —"

A cry interrupted her words. It sounded like the cries of a woman in danger. Without a moment of hesitation, I ran towards the place with the maid close begin me. I was fast, running through the garden until I got to the place.

Three wolves like the one who was trying to kill the maid, surrounded the queen, looking like they were moments from ripping her head off her neck.

My eyes went to the queen. Compared to how she was when I saw her for the first time, she looked a bit insane. Her crown was nowhere to be found and her hair looked a bit unkept like something she ran her hand through countless times.

"Help!" She cried out once more, spurring me to action. I ran towards them, taking down the first wolf with a kick on his stomach. I sent him crashing into the rose bushes and he cried out when the thorns pricked his body.

The second wolf was the next I attacked. I didn’t give him enough time to react before I kicked him, sending him back like I did to the first. He cried out and made to jump out of the bush but I kicked him back, and jumped on him, snapping his head off his body with just one twist.

The first one I kicked to the bush, rose and tried to attack me but I did what I did to the second, to him. I jumped on him and snapped his head off before he could so much as react to it. I was fast, getting rid of them without taking a breath.

When the two were down, I faced the third one. He growled at me, taking a step towards me as cautiously as he could watching me with his calculating brown eyes, trying to know what he would do to get to me.

I didn’t give him enough time to do that. I changed into my wolf, and jumped, grateful for the benefits Fan gave me. They made it easier for me to get rid of the wolves faster than an Alpha could.

The man looked shocked, probably trying to know how an Omega got to be as fast as I could. I raised my claws and made to claw at his body, but he was fast, dodging as he tried to avoid my claws.

He skipped past me without my claws getting to him. His tail slapped on my body but his claws only scratched my hair.

With a cry, I jumped on him. My smaller wolf looked like a puppy playing with his mother. He tried to shake me off his back, but I held strong, not ready to let him go.

He howled and cried out as he tried to shake me off, but I held tight trying to get to his neck so I can bite his neck off as I did to the others. The moment I got halfway to his back, I changed into my human form and climbed up until I got to his neck.

With all the strength I could muster, I raised my hand and hit him hard on his neck, snapping them in two.

The wolf howled out in pain and shook his back some more before he fell to the ground, dead. Even at that, I had to check to make sure he was dead. When I confirmed it, I jumped off his body and faced the two women clutching to themselves with scared expressions on their faces.

"Are you okay?" I took a step towards them, with a smile on my face, trying not to spook them faster.

"Thank you!" The queen let go of the maid and rushed to my side. "Thank you, Mega!" She clutched my hands and smiled at me.

"You are welcome," I smiled at her. "It’s no problem to me. I love helping when I can. Moreover, you are Storm’s mother," I blushed at that, peering at her through my lashes.

"Oh," she chuckled. "My son is lucky to have someone like you. You are not only cute but strong, a good combination."

Her words made me smile. I shyly peered down at my feet and refused to look at her.

Funny how I was able to fight the Alphas, but when it came to anything about Storm, I turn into a blushing mess.
