There's Something Wrong With You, My Lord! -
Chapter 54: Who Is Stronger? (7)
Chapter 54: Who Is Stronger? (7)
"My lord!" Nicol and Legland exclaimed after seeing the moon elf lord land on top of the wall. It was neat and graceful.
Totally fitting for the moon elf lord.
He was then followed by Olyn and the little white chick. It landed on the moon elf lord’s shoulder as if it was claiming his territory.
Luis, on the other hand, wanted to congratulate himself. Truth be told, he has a pressing headache due to excessive use of his mental strength.
It was difficult to try to contain other people’s nature energy!
He may be the moon elf lord but he is still a newborn.
"Hey, guys!" Luis waved his hands at them like a celebrity. "Nicol, can you send a priest to look at someone? We have a fellow who passed out due to excessive use of elemental power."
Luis was referring to Ilian. That chubby little friend went far beyond his expectations.
Sticking to the moon elf lord’s orders, Nicol immediately sent one priest to attend to Ilian.
He turned to look at the moon elf lord who was immersed in the sights in front of him.
"There are two kinds of people who are forced to a deadly duel. No magic. No elemental power. No weapon. Just a plain barehanded fight. One was a killer and one was just a simple desperate bloke. Who do you think among the two is stronger?" Luis asked Nicol.
"Who is it, my lord?" Nicol looked at the small face of the moon elf lord. This might have something to do with this group of wanderers. He’s been curious about what exactly the moon elf lord sees in them.
"I am not sure myself." Luis answered without any suspense. It was as if he was just talking nonsensical things. "But I am certain that the only person breathing in the end, is the one who used everything within his reach."
Luis was speaking based on his experience during the apocalypse. It was during that time that he realized that even skilled and trained people die the moment they let despair take over them.
"Just living after being thrown in that situation is the testament of strength, is it not?"
He survived through his persistent struggle. He lasted for twelve years in a dystopian world by embracing his desperation.
That is something that Luis will eternally be proud of.
Hence, he appreciated this group of wanderers who did their best to survive. A smile blossomed on Luis’ face. Besides, they are hot and handsome.
"But my lord, they are fighting with their fists." Olyn innocently interjected. "How is it possible for them to use something when the rules doesn’t allow it?"
The moon elf lord’s smile slightly fluctuated. ’Do you really have to point that out, my dear?’
"Olyn, who told you that they cannot use the floor?" Luis restrained himself to do the unthinkable against his favorite servant.
On the other side, Nicol heard his lord’s musings and he thoughtfully looked at the fighting orcs and moon elves. It’s been a while since this group started their battle and yet they have sustained little to no injuries.
They are also using their surroundings to their advantage. The space and the low walls. All of these are maximized.
Most of these guys have limited elemental powers and yet they manage to last this long. They perfectly incorporated their physical adeptness and powers to kill a lot of root crawlers. It was a feat that’s only possible if they are used to moving around in the wild.
The head priest is not sure what they experienced but he is certain that their expertise in running away played a vital role here. He then glanced at Legland who are busy with the kids. Someone must be itching to recruit new talents. Too bad the moon elf lord seems to have something arranged.
Nicol then looked at the juvenile bearer in front of him. His chest is burning with passion.
And the one who let them do it seamlessly, the reason why they can freely expose their potential was the newly born moon elf lord.
The insight that the moon elf lord possess is quite terrifying.
This time, he must admit that they are indeed convinced about the strength of the moon elf lord.
Luis was clueless about the direction of Nicol’s thoughts since he is busy watching the battle. It only takes him one glance to find Xagrien in the middle of the flying elemental attacks and the surging hordes of root crawlers.
"Oh, someone’s preparing for a big move." The moon elf lord made a nonchalant comment when he saw how Xagrien coated his body with purple lightning.
Then male moon elf’s body shot like a bullet at the approaching group of root crawlers.
To his confusion, Xagrien set aside the blade that he was holding and proceeded to attack in a way that is extremely familiar to the moon elf lord.
"Wait a minute. These are mixed martial art moves!" Luis exclaimed after seeing the series of blows that Xagrien traded. It was a mix of boxing and kickboxing to be specific.
He knows that Xagrien must have seen him do these moves in the first tunnel and those are just pretty basic moves.
But it was quite a surprise that this guy can recreate that perfectly. From the stance, footwork, kicks and punches. His entire body is charged with high voltage of electricity so even the slightest touch from him is enough to fry his opponent.
The sentinels and priests are in awe of these moves.
"Is that a kind of combat technique among rogues?"
"Those simple movements are oddly effective in dodging and attacking. I think I want to learn those moves!"
The series of praises made his attention-seeking side somewhat jealous and tempted(?).
Does boxing make a man look handsome?
Xagrien in his eyes looked so manly when he boxes with all the flashing purple lights.
Luis admits that he never looked that good when he was fighting and he will be a hypocrite to say that he wasn’t envious.
But a more pressing concern is that, he wanted to look at Xagrien more.
Luis felt a poking feeling in his ass, urging him to move closer to the male. Damnit.
"Are you guys bored? Do you want to join them?" Luis asked his subordinates as he thought of a way to discreetly steal a close up glance at the male god.
"Brother Moon Elf Lord. Can we?" says a chorus of childish voices. It was the six orc kids who were under the care of Legland.
"That..." Luis trailed off. He was skeptical about letting these children do something dangerous.
"Pretty Brother, we know how to use a bow so you don’t have to worry." Luis felt like he was struck by an arrow. ’Pretty Brother?’
"Yes, Pretty Brother. You can just let us fly just like earlier. We will shoot from mid-air. It will be safer that way!" Another innocent kid tried to convince Luis.
It was then followed by a series of adorable pleading of these hairy children and of course, the Pretty Brother thing.
At this moment, the reincarnated moon elf lord was never called "pretty". Stupidly made a decision that will leave him vomiting blood later on.
"Okay," Luis flashed a flattered smile.
It will be too late for him to realize how scary the innocence of a child is.

04:03:00.
That is the timer that is blinking on the quest page. Three hours more and they will only have three days until that fateful day.
Luis blinked his heavy eyelid and tried to massage his forehead. He tried to sit from where he was lying while feeling a little groggy.
’Isn’t this deja vu?’ Luis whispered to himself. This familiar headache. This lethargy. He will be an idiot if he is still clueless about what happened.
It seems like he overexerted his mental strength. Again.
Before he passed out he can still recall that he played as a badass support and all-rounder throughout the battle.
He practically used both of his Low-Heal and Revitalize skills non-stop to all warriors in the field. Moon elves and orcs. Old and new. All of Luis’ subordinates tasted his unceasing and nourishing milk from this mitch.
Not to mention that he also used his control over nature’s energy to let those six naughty children fly as they shoot the root crawlers with their tiny bows.
Those mischievous kids. They literally made him puke! Should he be thankful that it isn’t blood but saliva?
Luis now realized why some of his already parent friends are saying that children are innocent devils.
On the other side, he is also at fault. Who told him to be too excited just because he was called pretty?
He was already exhausted in supporting Ilian and yet he still went full blast in using his powers.
The moon elf lord had it coming.
Hence, he passed out after everything was done. But before he completely loses consciousness, he can still remember that there was a flock of huge birds approaching them. Luis doesn’t feel any hostility from it so at least it means that they do not spell harm for them.
The moon elf lord averted his eyes from the opened quest page. ’That’s enough of a reminder,’ Luis whispered in his mind.
His distaste mellowed down a bit for this "cheat plug-in".
He’s got to admit that this thing has considerable output in their security.
Luis looked around his surroundings and he realized that he was actually in a room. It’s nighttime.
The walls are made of sturdy stone. There is an open window that is decorated with strewn flowers. The room is fragrant so is the fur blanket that covers his waist down.
"Wait, where is Ol-" Luis didn’t need to finish and his ever-faithful servant popped out from the door. He hurriedly went to his lord’s side and reached for Luis’ hand.
"My lord, you must rest some more! You overused your powers again. If you will always be like this, then please use us as you like and let us handle all the hard work." Olyn pleaded with the sides of his eyes red.
Luis rubbed the sides of Olyn’s eyes. "Okay, I won’t." Promise. He cunningly cut off his last word.
He is not sure what could possibly happen in the future. How dare he promise something that he’s not confident in keeping?
"Where are we now, Olyn?"
This room is meticulously prepared so it is not possible that they are in that damned mastermind’s place. Olyn is also free to move around so it is impossible that they are captured.
"We are currently here in Adriha Clan’s territory, my lord," Olyn explained. "After you passed out, the aerial legion of the sentinels came for reinforcement. With their contracted beasts, it is easier and faster for us to travel as a group so we decided to urgently send you out of the Shane Greenwoods." Besides that wild man is going ballistic after the moon elf lord became unconscious.
Olyn skipped saying that part.
"Everyone is resting now, especially the warriors who fought the hordes of root crawlers. The Head Priest Nicol and Head Sentinel Legland made sure that they had comfortable accommodation."
Luis nodded in appreciation. As expected of the two. "The clean up of the battlefield is properly done, right?"
Olyn gave an affirmative response. "We also left some sentinels to double-check the tunnel. They’re waiting for the poison to subside before they head in, my lord."
"The things that I kept, you brought it with us l, right?" Olyn nodded his head yes.
"Then that settles it. Seems like we can stably prepare ourselves later." A relieved smile blossomed on Luis’ face.
However, Olyn, who was beside the moon elf lord appears to be uncomfortable.
"That, my lord." Olyn gulped. "You really need to rest for now."
Luis noticed the nervousness of the bearer so he asked out of concern. "What’s wrong?"
"We have an unprecedented situation here, my lord." Olyn said slowly and carefully. As if Luis will break once he hears the entirety of it. "All thirteen clans living in the Amber Forest came here for you, my lord."
Luis blinked once, "Their representative?"
Olyn shook his head.
"You meant all of them?!" This time his number one servant nodded his head.
"Holy shit." And so Luis willingly laid on his back. He wants to rest so badly.
