There's Something Wrong With You, My Lord!

Chapter 230: To see the Moon Elf Lord (2)

Days into the grinding to modify some plants, Luis has finally completed developing the variety of the crops the Metal Clans grew. He focused on improving the plants’ yield because this is needed most in the future. Thankfully, the tastes of the crops didn’t change despite what he did.

Luis was more than happy with the result, and so were the Metals Clans.

But above all, Luis is excited because the days he spent being sucked by his new skill, property manipulation, were fruitful. It is getting easier for him to control the originally stubborn life energy.

That is why Luis was practicing the Lord’s Sanctuary, the soul-healing platform he conjured for Nicol when he was reawakening his True Element. In the clearing where the waning moon was shining bright, eight silver pillars of light were erected, and in the middle of it was the Moon Elf Lord—basking in the comfortable light of life energy.

The moon elves, who are supposedly busy training their core and plate using the Moonlight Circulation Technique, are once again distracted by the spectacular sight created by the Moon Elf Lord.

They know that it will disappear after some time, so they will always try to sneak a look to see the power that came from the Sigil given by the Moon Goddess. For them, that is the manifestation of the said goddess’ power—something that they could experience a few times in their lifetime.

Of course, Luis was aware of such a notion courtesy of the loose-mouthed Master Feren, but he didn’t say anything to correct them. It would be wrong if he always gave them the correct answer without much effort. They will realize sooner or later that they will get to see it for as long as Luis lives— well, that’s if nothing terrible happens that will make them lose the Sigil.

The Lord’s Sanctuary disappeared after a while, and Luis strutted to the lone man waiting for him.

"What is the count for that, Xagrien?" Luis asked.

Xagrien responded, looking a little tired, "That’s nine hundred breaths, Luis."

’Nine hundred! That should be about fifteen minutes. Not bad." Luis shamelessly praised himself. Now, he could guarantee that it would be a breeze for him to assist anyone who reawakens their true element.

"You keep praising yourself, and yet you don’t even bother taking notes of my efforts for you," Xagrien said expressionless.

Luis laughed loudly at the other’s face. If it weren’t for the cunning glint in Xagrien’s purple eyes, then he would really think that the hottie was angry at him. Obviously, his handsome mate is faking it for some loving.

"Who taught you to act coquettish like this?"

Luis jumped at Xagrien for a hug.

"I think something is wrong with your definition of coquettishness."

"Oh?" The pregnant and forever pervert Moon Elf Lord pushed himself more towards Xagrien’s body. "I was under the impression that you are asking for it. Am I wrong?"

The two couples locked into a heated gaze until...

"Moon Elf Lord," Xerxes suddenly appeared out of nowhere.

Out of reflex, Luis pushed Xagrien away from him.

"Oh, goodness! What’s with that sudden entrance of yours, Xerxes? Please don’t do that in the future. I almost crap my pants because of you!" Says the Moon Elf Lord while massaging his chest.

He felt like his soul was ejected out of his body because of the Blizzard Dragon’s unintentional jump scare.

"It seems like I picked the wrong timing. Sorry about that, but I seriously think that you should know about this," Xerxes responded, monotone.

He then quickly pulled out the handheld communication device from his loose black cloak and handed it directly to Luis.

The Moon Elf Lord’s brows jolted, seeing how hasty Xerxes was. What is happening now?

He looked at the crystal orb and was shocked at the news that Nicol sent to him.

"Is this for real?! The other clans have finally arrived?"

Xagrien curiously asked his lover, "What clan?"

"The communication orb has limited characters to transmit, so Nicol only cited two. First was the water clans from Cape of Wonders, then the ones living in Portgrass Plains," Luis suddenly stopped, and his mouth was wide enough to serve as a cave to a passerby fly.

"And it seems like all of them migrated. Not even a single moon elf is left in their territory."

"Then that means the Amber Forest is bursting with moon elves," Xagrien uttered with knowing eyes. His purple orbs looked at Luis and slowly said, "You will be busy again."

"Oh, sure I am," Luis answered. It seems like the unification of the entire moon elf race is just around the corner.

Back in Woodrill City, the inside and the land surrounding the city have become teeming with moon elves due to the arrival of the clans who came from far away land. The newly arrived clans came with many local goods that could not be found in the Amber Forest, and the citizens of Woodrill City were itching to trade something new from the distant territory, such as salt, spices, and fabrics.

So, in response to their silent demands, Nicol opened a temporary marketplace on the outskirts of the city to let the moon elves from various clans barter their goods, and one must say that it was a smart move to establish it outside the city since it is more accessible to the newcomers and the residents.

Nicol was also busy briefing the patriarchs about the Moon Elf Lord, like what he was like in person, his known likes and dislikes, and the changes he brought to the fourteen clans. It won’t be an exaggeration to say that with this, the newcomers know about Luis really well, and their trust in the Moon Elf Lord is solidifying.

Despite being the head priest, Nicol is slowly turning into a government official instead. If Luis were here, he would jokingly offer him to be his prime minister or something instead of being a priest.

At this time, Olyn was walking around the marketplace, his back slightly slouched, looking dispirited like a dog suffering from separation anxiety after days of not seeing their owner.

"My Lord, how many days will you be away? I already missed you," he whimpered.

Truth be told, he would have used the Transportation Circle if only he were a bit capable of magic. Unfortunately, he knew nothing about it, so he could only spend his days in Woodrill City training hard, resting, eating, and sleeping while whining about not seeing his master, the Moon Elf Lord.

His mother, Aryn, had enough of him and kicked him out of the house to unwind in the busy marketplace. Aryn reckons that since a lot of male moon elves from other clans are hanging around in the congested market, there is a possibility that some male will be "enamored" with his innocent little face and ask him to be his mate.

That was a pretty thought that Olyn didn’t need right now. He needs his master! The Moon Elf Lord.

In his daze, he suddenly stumbled into the sturdy arms of a man.

"Oh, Jiro," Olyn said nonchalantly upon knowing who it was.

"Yes, It’s me indeed," a young moon elf with a perpetual sunny expression replied. "Brother Olyn, where are you heading to?"

Jiro and Olyn come from the Hyon Clan and are close childhood friends despite the ten-year gap between them and the fact that their mothers, Aryn and Gea, are sworn frenemies.

"Nothing in particular," Olyn said. "I am just drifting around until it is time for training," Olyn said. "Probably I would find a mate somewhere in this busy marketplace. That is what mother told me when he heartlessly shut the door to my face."

Jiro’s smile suddenly disappeared, "U-Uncle Aryn actually let you look for a mate outside the Clan?"

"Yes!" Olyn exclaimed with indignation. "But I will never do that! I will just let nature take its course until I meet someone who will love me like the my lord’s mate."

He must admit that while Xagrien is a heavy rival for the Moon Elf Lord’s attention and painfully annoying at first, he really knows how to take care of his bearer, and he became his standard for choosing a mate.

Like the time flowed once again, the smile on Jiro’s face appeared, "That is a correct answer, Brother. Staying with the Moon Elf Lord made you smarter than before!"

"Well, I am always listening to the Moon Elf Lord." innocent bordering being ignorant, Olyn replied.

Jiro offered to accompany Olyn on his walk around the marketplace, and they talked about what keeps them busy these days. As it turns out, the young man was an aspiring sentinel who maintained peace and order in the Amber Forest, so he took this opportunity to help around the bustling market.

Conflict is not uncommon in the marketplace, and that is what Jiro is helping in. To sort them out.

"Whoah, that was good! The Moon Elf Lord likes passionate people like you!"

Jiro abashedly scratched his brown curly hair, his cheeks a little flushed. "Brother Olyn, don’t be so generous in giving out compliments like that."

Olyn widened his cute, pure eyes, "Why is that? My lord said we should be generous in complimenting because that will help boost other’s confidence."

The two were busy looking at each other when suddenly, Olyn bumped into a hooded someone.

"Ahh, I am sorry! Are you alright?" the bearer asked. The other was hunching and gasping his breath so they couldn’t see his face.

Sensing that wasn’t right, Olyn and Jiro helped the other to stand up. That was when they saw the stranger’s face, which was full of wounds, and the black cloak that covered his body was actually drenched with blood.

"The Moon Elf Lord. Please help us..." and the moon elf passed out.
