There's Something Wrong With You, My Lord! -

Chapter 198: The First Star (2)
The impact of the falling miniature sun caused continuous swells to hit the shore of the originally still lake. The inhabitants of the Woodrill Plains watched in breathtaking scenes as the Moon Elf Lord seemingly effortlessly held it up with his two hands.
"Oh my! Is the Moon Elf Lord intending to carry it over?"
Worry started to churn at Hylolas. Their Lord has always been good to their Hyon Clan. There’s no way they will just let their Lord carry such a great burden alone.
"What are you waiting for? Let’s all help the Moon Elf Lord!"
This loud statement from the old patriarch of the Hyon Clan solicited agreement from the others. In an instant, hundreds of moon elves and orcs started running towards the lake.
They no longer regard the waves that increasingly get bigger in the passing minutes.
However, before they could even use their elemental powers to bring themselves to the center of the broad lake, the wind changed its course, and their worries turned back into fanatic astonishment.
"Woah! The yellow ball is shrinking!" excitedly cried Nine. He was waving his hand with great exhilaration.
"Twit! Twit!" The forgotten little bird being held tightly by the child frantically pecked the child’s skin! ’Free me now! This insolent, tiny, featherless creature!’
However, no one bothered to care about the twittering baby bird despite the silence that blanketed the people on the shore. As if charmed, everyone stopped advancing and watched as the big ball of fire shriveled at a speed visible to their bare eyes.
"What is happening?!" That is the unified question that lingered in their minds.
While the Moon Elf Lord’s subjects are mind-blown by the incredible showmanship they witness from Luis. The bearer and the leading actor is sweating hard.
They say that behind great shows was a grueling production process that contained everyone involved’s tears, blood, and sweat. That is the exact feeling that Luis is experiencing now.
"Holy bananas! This is too hot!" Luis couldn’t refrain from complaining. He had already covered his body with nature’s energy for protection against heat, but even with that precaution, the heat still managed to penetrate it.
"Oh gosh, I am no longer surprised if ever pores in my body are open after this!"
Despite his mouth crazily spitting complaints and laments, that didn’t stop him from continuously activating his skill—the Sucker Touch.
Yes, the newly acquired skill that the system gave him from the previous quest. This skill was described as simply absorbing all kinds of energy, storing it, and discharging it away. He once used this to absorb the mana from the mana stone and activate the Transportation Circle in Xerxes’ lair. It worked without a hitch because mana is raw energy.
It fits the description from A to Z. It has already proven it’s a great use.
However, the riffraff from Apocalypse is much more of a dare-devil in discovering the various uses of his abilities. He wanted to test if he could ever use it in combat.
Such has been his way of developing his powers back when he was still slaying zombies from his previous world.
"This has been the very reason my wood and space powers have diverse uses in the first place," Luis murmured, but then something hit him when he spoke those words aloud.
[Shouldn’t you be well aware of this situation since you already experienced reawakening once, right?]
"Eh?" Luis subconsciously stopped activating his abilities. Thankfully, he wholly absorbed Nicol’s fir, or else this slip-up would cause him some burns.
He may have the ability to heal, but he is absolutely not a masochist who welcomes pain!
Well, if it is for a "very wholesome play" with Xagrien, then that notion is negotiable.
But right now, that is none of his concern as his thoughts were filled with questions based on what the system administrator said.
’I never had a fever since I came into this world, but what if it happened before I came here?’ Luis questioned himself. The odds that he experienced Reawakening back in apocalyptic earth is quite huge.
At the start of the zombie apocalypse, the entire world experienced a pandemic where a considerable population of people around the globe experienced a severe fever, which lasted for several days. The patient experienced recurring high fever, muscle aches, and extreme fatigue.
Many called this "Undead Fever" because it signaled the start of the zombie apocalypse, as the majority of the patients who suffered from this became flesh-eating undead. Luis is also one of them, but he is part of the fraction that ultimately became ability users.
’Does that count?’ Luis questioned himself. But that doesn’t fit the point of Reawakening as there is nothing to reawaken, considering that he is just an average gay man in a Confucian society.
"Wait, even if I did experience Reawakening, how did that lady admin know that?" Luis felt like the neurons in his head were a tangled mess.
"Luis."
"Oh, please fuck me so good!" The Moon Elf Lord’s shoulders jolted to the sudden sound from his behind. No joke, his heart almost jumped out of his ribcage.
Why did this man need to interrupt him when he was deep in his thoughts?!
"Xagrien! Gosh! Don’t surprise me like that!" The Moon Elf Lord lightly hit his mate’s chiseled chest, which appeared out of nowhere. "Stop sneaking up on me, okay!"
"We called you, but you were just standing there, dazed," Xagrien answered, wearing that standard emotionless face. However, his eyes beat the scanner as his two purple orbs tirelessly scrutinized Luis’ entirety, particularly on his two hands.
"Anything wrong?" Xagrien finally asked as he gently put down Luis’ blemish-free hands. While he knew that Luis tended to be in a daze whenever he was too immersed in his thinking, it still concerned him that something was bothering his bearer.
Luis is his mate. That is why he should be more supportive now.
"I am just a bit confused about something," Luis truthfully answered his mate. Looking at Xagrien thoughtfully, he realized one important detail: "Where is Nicol?"
Instead of verbally answering, his man only pointed his finger in a specific direction.
"My lord, are you alright?" Nicol asked from a reasonable distance from the Moon Elf Lord. The head priest’s entire body was dangling in the air using Xagrien’s enchantment.
Luis brushed off the questions in his head and cast a meaningful look at Xagrien. He would tell Xagrien about it later since he promised that he would do his best to be honest with his mate at all times. With stable steps, he approached Nicol and asked, "I should be the one asking that. You should be experiencing body pains."
Luis wordlessly activated his Healer’s Hands. Greenlight blanketed the hovering body of the handsome head priest.
Nicol was disconcerted because the Moon Elf Lord used his skills one after another; he was afraid that these might exhaust him.
"I am fine, My Lord." Nicol bowed his head with all humility. His gratitude for his Lord’s extensive efforts to save him was ingrained in his mind. In his opinion, his entire lifetime is not enough to fully repay the grace the Moon Elf Lord has given him. "Please rest and don’t overexert yourself."
’I might have a dark and traumatizing past, but with the Moon Elf Lord, my future was guided with a path full of stars. It would be fun to follow him until the end.’
"Xagrien," From facing the bowing head priest, Luis turned to his lover, who was silently standing on the side. "Did you notice the most overused word these days is rest? Why is that?"
"That is because there is someone who denies that he is sick and does anything but rest," Xagrien promptly answered.
"Hear that?" Luis smugly crossed his arms over his chest. His signature smirk was, of course, present.
’My lord..." Nicol didn’t reply after that and just shook his head with a slight smile.
"That goes to the two of you, Moon Elf Lord." Xagrien was quick to wipe away the smirk on his lover.
"Yah! You should be supporting me! Not exposing me!"
Nicol laughed a little, seeing the cordial Moon Elf Lord. He is dead sure that he will always follow this lord to the very end.
"Let’s go back and rest now! We spent another long night, my gosh!" The Moon Elf Lord said to his two subordinates.
Xagrien automatically latched himself on the Moon Elf Lord’s waist. While in his right, Nicol is floating like a ghost.
The three left the center of the lake, completely oblivious that they left someone shaken to the core.
"This is crazy. They are just leaving like that?" Xerxes blurted out in total disbelief.
He wasn’t feeling the energy from that ball of fire properly before because it was away from them. There was also that oppressive energy controlled by the Moon Elf Lord, but now that he experienced standing closer to it, his head can’t completely wrap around the fact that it is the second most powerful force he encountered.
How could they just walk away casually when they just exhibited a power that rivals two dragon’s roar, the most powerful and well-known ability of the dragon race? A single breath of a dragon is enough to make human countries and other beings lesser to them groveling.
"Hu!" The Winged Serpent hiding at the back of Xerxes came out and stretched his leaf wings. "That heat was simply too fierce! I thought my wings would catch fire at this distance. I hope they will not use that around the forest so casually because I swear, everything will be reduced to smithereens."
"I can’t agree more," Xerxes replied to his friend. ’Once these moon elves went out of Immortal’s Glade, I am sure the entire world will be shaken. The existing powers that keep the balance will undoubtedly be in disarray. I don’t know if that is a good thing or not.’
The Blizzard Dragon’s concern was out of Luis and his subordinates’ attention as they were currently warmly welcomed by everyone. The members of the Tribunal, temple priests, sentinels, and even the common folks are in a cheerful mood.
How can they not when the head priest, Nicol, beat the odds and returned stronger?
Nicol is practically mobbed by a beaming crowd. He felt the warmth embracing his chest, and finding out that many people wished for him to get well made him realize that he was lucky to be surrounded by people who cared for him.
"Alright, I know some of you are curious about what really transpired tonight. I am also itching to say it, too, but this is not the time for a lengthy explanation since we have a patient here. The temple will issue a formal announcement tomorrow. Let’s just wait for that," Legland took charge to pipe down the crowd.
He didn’t dare to trouble their Lord, knowing he did a lot in a single night.
The crowd nodded in understanding and gave way to Nicol and the Moon Elf Lord. Luis and Xagrien intend to let Nicol rest in the infirmary tonight, tended by healers, so that they can make sure that he will recover quickly.
Luis bid good night to the representatives of the Tribunal and was about to leave with Nicol when suddenly the head priest spoke in a voice loud enough to hear by everyone present.
"My Lord, can this servant be presumptuous this once?" Nicol said while directly looking at his father, Nihil. "I beseech to be expulsed from the Ris Clan."
"I want to completely cut off my connection with my father, Nihil."
