Chapter 100: The Lord’s Fake Choices (4)
The day of Second Inter-Clan Conference came almost in a blink of an eye.
Everyone from the 13 clans living in the Amber Forest are present. Even those who’ve been told to rest by the priests due to injury made no excuse to be in the open field. How can they miss something important like meeting their savior?
They honestly wanted to attend today’s event even if they needed to crawl.
Seated in the rows of seats, thousands of moon elves and some orcs are silently waiting for the arrival of the moon elf lord. They trying their best to press down the excitement that they are feeling.
The patriarchs are sitting in their respective seats. Looking solemn for two different reasons, nervousness or anticipation. They all look in front of them where the stone platform is located. Their guts tells them that this is meeting is even more important than the first one and they are clueless how this will turn out.
"I wonder why the lord didn’t summon the patriarchs before this." Yulls clicked his tongue. "This is totally different from the previous one and this is not right at all."
"The moon elf lord should at least give a little courtesy to the patriarchs," Yulls said shamelessly with obvious disappointment.
Glares from the other clans who heard his disrespectful words are instantly directed towards him, if the sharpness of their glares could inflict a wound, then Yulls would be left here bleeding.
As audacious as he is, the obnoxious male didn’t seem to be bothered by it.
On the other hand, his fellow high-ranking warriors from the Isan Clan have reactions different from him. In fact, they are acting as if they didn’t know this crazy man.
The shadows of the embarrassment that they experienced took a huge toll on their pride. If there is a way to make themselves invisible then they will do it. The clans consider them now as cowards and weak. Though they are mad about that, they cannot fight them considering that they practically helped with nothing.
It is unbelievable that they failed to partake in the momentous battle that happened days ago. They regretted not to be a part of a history that will remain until the end of time.
Remembering the cause made them feel resentful. Their pride that stemmed from their strength now amounts to nothing.
All of these happened because they are helplessly beaten to a pulp by a certain someone!
While they have assumptions about the assailant’s identity, they are lacking in evidence.
Plus this is someone extremely close to the moon elf lord and was said to be powerful enough to rival the strength of Legland, the Head Sentinel. So they can only grit their teeth for now and enjoy the feeling of being a loser.
"The moon elf lord sho-", Yulls abruptly stopped when he met the ice-cold stare from Ali, their patriarch. If the glares from the other clans can make him bleed, then this one from their patriarch is enough for him to drop dead.
This time Yulls closed his mouth, not letting out even the softest sound. Although, deep inside, his chest is full of indignation.
He straightened his back and maintained his eyes towards the stone platform. This made him notice Ilian who is sitting rows in front of him.
’This damned trash! You are taking advantage of the grace that the moon elf lord has given you and your filthy friends!’ his indignation spiked once again. ’You wait and I will make sure to kill you, Ilian! The same way your patriarch father succumbed to his death!’
Feeling the uncomfortable stare from behind him, Ilian looked back and saw his uncle shooting daggers with his eyes.
He uninterestedly shrugged his shoulders and sat properly. Ilian almost died for various reasons these days a glare from someone "not" his family wouldn’t hurt him.

On the sentinel’s side, Denzel, the earth power sentinel who is in charge once again of order and safety, is feeling a little worried.
’Will my lord make it?’ Last night, the moon elf lord left with his servant and the three well-known four-star warriors for a brief "sightseeing". He is anxious for their well-being since even right now, there are no signs of them going back.
’Nothing dangerous happened, right?’ All he could do was pray to the Moon Goddess for their safety.
As if the goddess gave him an instant answer, his worry didn’t last for long when a huge bird flew above them.
It didn’t descend like it was supposed to do for the person riding it to dismount but instead, when the platform is directly below it, five figures were seen jumping down.
One was a male with chocolate-colored hair and golden-tanned skin, he was wearing a long flowy priest’s cloak. The other was a blond man donned in a majestic sentinel’s armor and the third one was a gentle and innocent-looking man who had short brown hair.
These three are Head Priest Nicol, Head Sentinel Legland and Olyn, the lord’s servant respectively.
Meanwhile, the other two figures are dressed in rather weird clothes. One is a silver-haired male that has striking purple eyes. He is wearing a shirt that accentuates his big and muscled chest. His strong waist is attractively emphasized by the tight fit of the clothes.
The bottom clothes were loose pants.
The bearers present held their breath.
’Why didn’t they notice such an excellent young male!’ their eyes shined with admiration, especially the unmated bearers.
However, the male only maintained a cold face, seemingly uninterested in the attention he was receiving.
The last one is a bearer. A very beautiful bearer in everyone’s opinion. He is wearing a black long-sleeved button-down shirt. Aside from the attractive face, and fair and smooth skin, the exposed collar bones made the bearer more alluring. Captivating the males. He flashed a smile that went straight to their hearts.
But they did their best not to be too carried away for this is their Moon Elf Lord.
However, someone doesn’t have the same restraint as the rest.
Ali, who was sitting in the patriarch’s seat, shifted his position. He slowly rose while maintaining his gaze on the beaming bearer in front of them. The smile that Luis flashed made him feel restless for some reason. It was a kind of restlessness that made his heart skip a beat. His eyes are glued to the moon elf lord as he descends on the high platform. Something ignited inside him as he watched the graceful movements of the bearer.
’I think you caught my interest now, moon elf lord,’ he thought as a smirk slowly forms on his lips. He looked at Xagrien who was wearing almost the identical style as the moon elf lord and his eyes discreetly turned murderous.
’Isn’t this the warrior who presumably attacked my men? What gave him the right to dress the same as the moon elf lord?’ he stared at Xagrien as if he was looking at an eyesore.
The silver-haired male felt his killing intent so he met Ali’s lethal gaze with the same intensity.
Xagrien never liked this patriarch of the Isan Clan since the other’s involvement in Ilian’s assault and his subordinates’ audacity to scheme about manipulating Luis.
’I will never let you or any of your men approach my bearer,’ Xagrien whispered to himself as the fire that is meant to burn someone was ignited behind his striking purple irises.
Hopes and worries.
Old and new grievances.
This is how the attempt to unify the first 13 clans started.
Luis is not aware that in the Second Inter-Clan Conference, a storm is silently and slowly emerging.
